New old stock (NOS). Thermalloy Part # THM-6221 TO-220 / TO220 heatsinks / TO-220 heat sinks / transistor heatsinks / voltage regulator heatsinks / integrated circuit heatsinks / radiators. Its solderable tabs are really great! They permit not only a more solid electrical connection but also a solid mechanical anchoring plus some heat dissipation of the circuit board itself. We have also used these to provide great heatsinking for TO-3 transistors and ICs by punching a hole just slightly less than the diameter of the TO-3 part head, then pressfitting the heatsink onto the TO-3 part head. These versatile TO-220 heatsinks can also be used directly or easily modified to fit similar-looking electronic device packages, and even for discretes (e.g. power resistors), piggybacked with each other or other types of heatsinks for increased cooling, and even used on non-electronic parts type uses (e.g. we use one to cradle a soldering iron once done with soldering). The TO-220 is the most common electronic device package used for power transistors, thyristors, rectifiers, voltage regulators, ICs, etc. and is sometimes written as, "T0-220" or "T0220".

These Sanken Diodes are very fast FMPG2F High-Voltage Diodes, FMPG2F Damping Diodes / Damper Diodes. 1500V, 5A, Trr=300ns, Vf=2V. A damping diode is almost always required when you are switching or driving high-inductive loads - transformers and inductors. Without a proper damping diode, your circuit is much more likely to catastrophically fail. Using an ordinary diode (e.g. 1N4007) will likely not help much because they are far too slow (your driving transistor or switching transistor will have been damaged before the ordinary diode kicks in) and not enough voltage or amperage (your diode will also likely to fail). Damping diodes are normally wired between the collector and emitter of a bipolar transistor (drain and source of MOSFETs), but are also often wired across the secondary of the driven transformer or a high-current switch contacts as well (usually along with a RC damping circuit) to minimize inductive spikes. While the FMPG2F Damper Diodes are especially designed for damping applications, they can also be used for many other high-voltage diode applications.

We ran series of DC-to-1 MHz tests comparing the SF16 rectifier with the 1N4004 rectifier and the 1N4148/1N914 diode (1N4148 and 1N914 diodes have virtually identical datasheet specifications). Our random sampling findings:

The SF16 clearly greatly exceeds the 1N4004 for speed while testing 29+% faster than even 1N914/1N4148 diodes.

The popular 1N4004, 1N4148 and 1N914 rectifiers/diodes don't do the job if you require higher voltage and/or higher current AND much higher speed, and/or low-Vf are important - the choice is clear - you MUST go with SF-16 rectifiers!
