New old stock (NOS). Miscellaneous Electronic parts sold by the pound. 95+% of these electronic parts are new, and most are in original packaging. These are high-quality electronic components almost all purchased from military (e.g. Air Force bases), university (e.g. UNM, NMSU), laboratory (Los Alamos, Sandia), and large manufacturers (e.g. Intel, etc.) surpluses. These electronic components include a mixture of ICs, transistors, diodes, transformers, inductors, capacitors, resistors, potentiometers, meters, switches, displays, connectors, cables, sensors, small mechanical hardware, etc. (does not include electronic test equipment, cellphones, i-pods, calculators, computers, cameras, etc.), some have gold contacts, some are collectible vintage, and some are expensive and very had-to-get these days. We store these parts in bins, like that shown, and like all of our electronic parts we use and sell, we store them inside (temperature and humidity controlled). We often buy electronic hardware in large lots (if you have electronic test equipment or electronic parts you want to sell or give away, please email us), and only because we have a big interest in at least a few of the electronic hardware items in the lot (electronic test equipment, and electronics parts in quantity). We first throw away all the obviously bad items. Of the remaining good items, we then typically keep about 1/3rd of the electronic items in our electronic labs for multiple pieces of equipment we design and sell so electronic parts quantity is important to us. Except for large electronics hardware (e.g. test equipment), we don't have a big interest in any electronics components less than 10 units - even if the electronic parts are rare and expensive. That leaves about 1/3rd of the electronic items of a typical electronic lot we buy that we have no interest because their quantity is too small. However, for the typical hobbyist, electronics repair and upgrade person, and small business that uses electronic parts, it is usually very cost effective to buy electronic parts in small quantities for each part - much cheaper that way - you can affordably stock a great variety of electronic parts. If you must drive back and forth to an electronics parts store and pay very expensive prices for small quantities of each part, your cost-per-unit skyrockets. Below is listed numerous individual IC tubes of the 54xxx / 74xxx TTL series, mostly LS types and plastic packages, collectively shown in the image. Unless otherwise stated, each tube consists of at least 25 ICs. Each tube is represented by the part numbers shown in parenthesis. The tube is about evenly divided among the parts listed for that tube. For example, "[74F90,74LS123,74S357 (24)]" represents one tube that contains 24 ICs with about the same number each of 74F90, 74LS123, and 74S357 ICs. If you need more tubes than the one provided in this sale/auction, we are also selling higher tube quantities from this same set of ICs - search for these other Item sales in this webpage.

After you have made your purchase, you must tell us which tube in the list below you have chosen. After you have paid for the tube, we ship it. I got these integrated circuits in an estate sale stored in a family room. For some reason only known to the seller, he liked to mix different part numbers in the same tube for these tubes. Since we do little TTL designs (mostly CMOS and Linear), we don't need all of these IC parts, so we don't have the interest to sort them out. We have not even opened most of the tubes, and have read the part numbers through their transparent tubes. Therefore, there may be a few stray ICs of not the same part numbers as shown in the parenthesis that we missed. Those tubes that we did catch with stray ICs, we removed the stray ICs (mostly LM566, NE556, MC14069 and CD4051).

Three filled reels are of MMSZ5242-ET1G, 12 VDC Zener diodes, 410mw, total quantity about 7,500 zener diodes. The 4th reel appears to be electrolytic capacitors, value unknown, and appears to be a complete reel of 750. The cheapest we have been able to find the MMSZ5242 zener diodes for in large quantities is 3 cents each, and that is in the cheaper SOD package (1750 x.03 = $225 - that doesn't even include the capacitors!).

Since we seldom use 74HCT-series CMOS ICs, we are selling the antistatic tubes that have the miscellaneous 74HCT-series (a few are 74HCxxx and 74Cxxx). We will randomly select 4 filled 74-series CMOS tubes for you. Since most of these ICs appear to be 18-pin and 20-pin ICs, and while all tubes are filled, most tubes have slightly less than 25 ICs, so quantity may vary from about 90 to 94 ICs total.
