Its solderable tabs are really great! They permit not only a more solid electrical connection but also a solid mechanical anchoring plus some heat dissipation of the circuit board itself. We have also used these to provide great heatsinking for TO-3 transistors and ICs by punching a hole just slightly less than the diameter of the TO-3 part head, then pressfitting the heatsink onto the TO-3 part head.

We bought a ton of reels filled with 10,000s of SMT/SMD ICs, transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors, etc. of numerous parts types. We are selling most of these reels as most of the work we do is with DIP/DIL ICs. Based on labeling and appearance, these are transistors. These reels came and are sold taped together with a total quantity of 1483 printed on one of the reels. We can't find these in our datasheets. We are not sure what kind of transistors these are (do you?), however, all the other transistors in this large lot of reels are labeled N-Channel Enhancement Mode MOSFETs.

Proprietary-marked (e.g. "R71472D") but some sample-testing and replacement use for 2N3055s in commercial equipment indicates equivalent to the all-purpose 2N3055. From my sampling tests and actual circuit experiences, these are: 90W, 8A, 300+V (my test gear maxes out at 309 VDC), 400 KHz, and dynamic AC beta 70-90 (tested using a B&K Model 161 transistor tester; DC beta or Hfe is about 43% higher than AC beta). Perfect for the hobbyist, experimenter, repair technician or business, especially if you don't like your devices easily reverse-engineered. New old stock (NOS) TO-3 transistor with gold leads. The incredible 2AD149 monolithic transistor pair is a discontinued transistor. The suggested replacement is the NTE121MP, which is priced at $42.50 each! V(BR)CEO=30 volts, Ic=3.5 Amps. Pd Max=32 watts, Ft(min)=300 KHz. The 2AD149 was and still is to some extent used in stompboxes by musicians who need to reproduce the distinctive tonal character of the "fuzz"-tone from the early rock & roll era. In other words, if you truly want to produce that classic rock sound the way it was produced back then, you must go with germanium transistors. When it comes to music, there are important differences between silicon transistors and germanium transistors! Stomp boxes (e.g. the Ibanez TS9 Tubescreamer) - also known as effects pedals - is a sound effects unit usually housed in a small metal chassis, popularly used by musicians (usually electric guitar players as a guitar effects pedal, but sometimes by players of other instruments including keyboards, bass, violin and cello). These popular sound effects devices alter the sound quality (i.e. timbre) of the inputted signal - adding effects such as fuzz, distortion, boost, overdrive, chorus, reverberations, flanging, phaser, wah-wah and pitch-shifting. The Rohm data sheet calls these UMC4 ICs, "Power Management (dual digital transistors)", and its circuit diagram shows it to be a NPN/PNP transistor pair (silicon, epitaxial planar), and that they are rated at ±50 Volts, 150 mW and 100 mA. Min. DC current gain is 68; 250 MHz BW. Pin out is: #1 - NPN emitter; #2 - NPN base (signal input); #3 - PNP emitter; #4 - PNP collector; #5 - NPN collector. Internally, the base of the PNP is connected through a resistor to the collector of the NPN. Ideal for power switching circuits. We have been told that this is a very popular industrial part.
