PAIR OF GORILLA LADDER HINGES / HOOKS IN CASE
New old stock (NOS). Pair of Gorilla Ladder Hooks / Hinges, in plastic case. These Gorilla hooks are extremely strong, and are used to support and suspend a strong window ladder by hooking onto window sills, window ledges and window thresholds, or around a bar or other structure it can securely hold onto. The user can then use the ladder to safely descend to the ground to flee a burning or exploding building or dangerous intruder, which often can mean the difference between life and death. Can also be used to climb onto ships and boats, for going over walls and fences, to lift, suspend, tow or drag heavy objects, and to secure scaffolding and safety harnesses. We bought these Gorilla hooks shortly after 911 for a relative who then both worked and lived in multi-story buildings. We don't know how strong these Gorilla hooks are, our estimate is about 1,000 lbs per hook, which probably exceeds most window sills and window ledges, but should be able to support several people using the ladder at the same time. Each hook consists of 3 sandwiched metal plates securely riveted together (5 thick rivets), each metal plateabout 3/16" thick, with a 3-3/4" gap from the bottoms of both sides. This gap permits the secure insertion of a chain, Kevlar webbing or nylon webbing between outer plates, which can then be bolted on through the holes, to make a very secure assembly (does not include chain or Kevlar or nylon webbing; we sell Kevlar webbing separately). 9-1/2" wide x 7-3/4" long. Bottom gap is 5-1/4". Holes are 7/8" diameter. Metal legs are 2-1/4" wide.
LIMITED QUANTITY. We have only one of these.
Seller listing codes: LD126, LR000-S00, LS000-R00, MM000, CC000. $49.95, $11.90 S/H.

1.5" and 2"-WIDE KEVLAR WEBBING /
KEVLAR STRAPPING / KEVLAR BELTING MATERIAL
Great "Bullet-Proof" Clothes / "Bullet-Proof" Panels
Material!
New old stock (NOS) high-quality Dupont Kevlar webbing. The Kevlar webbing is taken from the new roll of 1.5"-wide Kevlar webbing or 2.0" Kevlar webbing in 10' increments (you choose the length, prices below; we also sell .75"-wide Kevlar sleeving, see below). Both widths of Kevlar webbing are 1/10" thick. You can buy as many continuous feet in 10' increments of this heavy duty Kevlar webbing as we have in a new roll, if you buy more than one 10' piece, the Kevlar webbing will be shipped rolled up as one uncut length unless you specify otherwise (e.g. if you buy 30', you will get one uncut 30' piece). Kevlar webbing / Kevlar web material is also referred to as Kevlar strapping / Kevlar strap material, Kevlar belting / Kevlar belt material, and Kevlar tie-down.
Kevlar is renowned as a "bullet-proof" material - an incredibly strong and tough material! Kevlar is not only famous for its ballistics stopping properties but also as one of the strongest, toughest, most wear-resistant (scuff resistant), and most heat-resistant materials used in various other protection, construction and structural applications as well (not to mention how well Kevlar protects Batman). This super strong, super tough Kevlar fabric is widely used by the police, military, aerospace, marine (e.g. boat building / boat repairing), construction, automotive, sports, and mining industries. All popular Kevlars are rated at about 49,000 psi tensile strength - 5 times stronger than nylon of the same size - 5 times stronger than steel cable of the same weight - this Kevlar web material should be able to hold about 4,600 lbs load for the 1.5" wide Kevlar and about 6,100 lbs load for the 2.0"-wide Kevlar. Kevlar is also fire resistant and flame resistant - resists charring up to about 900 degrees F (nylon melts, burns and loses almost all of its strength and toughness above about 300 degrees F; nylon releases toxic fumes when it burns).
Note that this is heavy-duty Kevlar strap. This is not Kevlar tape or Kevlar ribbon, which is a thin Kevlar fabric and therefore lacks most of the strength, toughness and resistance to stretching of this thick industrial-grade Kevlar webbing. This is also not Kevlar wick because it has a very tight weave while Kevlar wick weave is intentionally loose to sop-up fuel. Kevlar wick is not built for strength, toughness or resistance to stretch, but only takes advantage of Kevlar's phenomenal resistance to being burned or melted to be reusable lamp wicks.
While this Kevlar strapping is not Kevlar wick, even with its much tighter weave, this Kevlar can be used as a virtually non-consuming lamp wick in a pinch. And it can also be wrapped around the top of a pole and then dipped into a flammable liquid to serve as a practically indestructable and re-usable torch (in fact, we use pieces of our Kevlar webbing to wipe off hot soldering irons). Similarly, this Kevlar webbing can be soaked with a fuel and laid out in lines or squares and set afire for optimum and reusable aerial spotting purposes (e.g. wilderness rescue). Because of its terrific heat resistance / burn resistance along with its legendary strength and toughness, Kevlar finds great uses in many hot applications, ranging from kitchen to welding to model rocketry to ceramics to glassblowing to car racing.
The Batman producers selected for Batman the most effective and advanced high-tech accessories on the planet to carry out his superhero work. One of these high-tech accessories most critical to Batman's survival from all kinds of violent physical assaults is his outfit. The fact that the Batman producers picked Kevlar for Batman's outfit says much about the super-great protective qualities of Kevlar. Just as Kevlar was chosen to protect Batman, choose Kevlar to protect you in the real world.
PROTECTIVE GARMENT / BODY ARMOR USES: We are all living in an increasingly dangerous world. Anything which can provide you (and your loved ones) substantial protection against handguns, shotguns and some rifles, knives, hatchets, axes, claws, teeth/fangs and blunt weapons - not to mention sports hazards, occupational hazards and transportation hazards - can mean the difference in your spouse, parents and kids ever seeing you alive again. Kevlar material is great! Kevlar vests are always made from Kevlar plies or Kevlar overlays - not from a single sheet of Kevlar - because plies add strength and toughness, and distribute impact forces much better. You can cut this Kevlar webbing into lengths, lay them down in plies, and cement or sew the Kevlar plies together to form Kevlar protective vests to much better protect you and your loved ones from many oncoming sharp, pointed, blunt, high-energy and very hot objects from damaging your Kevlar protected body, animals or equipment. While your homemade Kevlar protective vest may not be as elegant or pretty (more on toughness below) as very expensive commercial "bullet-proof" vests, Kevlar protection is far better than leather, denim and canvass. And you can make the vest to form fit you to your size and shape (like Batman) to make it more comfortable to wear and concealable under your clothes. Your Kevlar "bullet-proof" vest should also provide you protection from some industrial accidents, car accidents, sports accidents and even every day accidents. Several years ago, we was struck in the right chest by a fast, heavy rock ejected from a mower - it easily punched through my heavy leather coat - if we had been struck over my heart, head or neck, it likely would have killed me.
Advanced body armor design may employ articulated armor (also called, articulated body armor, flexible armor, flexible body armor and flex armor), and using Kevlar, it is called articulated Kevlar armor (also called, articulated Kevlar body armor, flexible Kevlar armor or flexible Kevlar body armor) - much more flexible than rigid body armor, often more comfortable, and usually more effective at protecting the wearer. This great Kevlar webbing is ideal for all forms of flexible body armor using Kevlar.
You can also use this Kevlar webbing to make head bands, head caps, neck bands, belts, arm wraps, foot wraps, leg wraps, chaps, and shorts/trousersto protect and support those vital body areas as well - especially critical if you are around powerful cutting or puncturing machines (e.g. power nailers, circular saws, chain saws), or animals which tend to bite or claw the head, neck or limbs, or rough sports.
You can also use this Kevlar webbing to make relatively lightweight Kevlar protective panels which you can hide inside or behind your valises, book bags, backpacks, suitcases, books (even schools these days can be dangerous), car doors, car trunks, doors, windows, walls, etc., so if and when that bad situation ever occurs, you can put your valise, backpack, door, etc. between you and the oncoming threat and have a much greater chance of surviving the experience. Years ago, when New York's "Son of Sam" pointed his gun at a young woman walking towards him on a city sidewalk, she held up her book bag to protect herself. The 44 magnum bullet penetrated all of her thick textbooks and killed her anyhow. If in addition, she had a thick Kevlar panel inside her book bag, the bullet may not have penetrated or have deflected away enough from her body and she may have lived. Today's streets are dangerous - especially in some cities - and you just do not know when and where the next terrible threat is going to come from! In disaster situations, you may be suddently faced with total lawlessness, rioters, looters, rapists and robbers. And every time you pick up the paper there is someone going postal at work, or some serial killer or Beltway Shooter type on the loose.
You can also use this Kevlar webbing to help protect buildings, shelters, airports, chemical plants, mines and tunnels from collapsing, caving in or being penetrated by explosive forces, and the resulting falling debris and flying debris. This can be done by sandwiching a crosshatch pattern of this Kevlar webbing with some type of plastic sheeting (flexible or non-flexible), all held together by a strong adhesive. Then reinforce these Kevlar-plastic panels with angle iron or aluminum angle along its edges. Then cementing or screwing in the panels onto the walls and ceilings most vulnerable to penetration. Just what you might need if you live or work in a war zone, high crime area, or an area afflicted by earthquakes, hurricanes or tornadoes, or inside a high-risk structure or mine. Add into this sandwich assembly aluminum or copper foil or galvanized steel sheeting, and you have additional protection from microwave penetrations.
To determine how much Kevlar strapping you need for any application, you might first simulate your design using strips of roll cloth or ribbon of this width, and then perhaps adding another 10% in your order for mistakes or extra things you can use the leftovers for (e.g. protective headbands, neckbands, arm wraps, belts, head caps, panels, etc.). For adults, a protective vest from neck to groin should come to about 15-20 feet of 1.5" Kevlar and about 10-15 feet of 2" Kevlar.
ROPE LADDER USES: Also see our Kevlar sleeving offer herein. Commercially-made rope ladders using nylon rope are very expensive (I know of none that uses Kevlar rope or Kevlar strapping/webbing) - we 've seen them priced at about $50 + S/H for a measely 4 feet long rope ladder made of nylon. Kevlar is used for lifting elevators (sometimes to replace elevator steel cables, which doesn't last nearly as long as Kevlar cabling), so you know that Kevlar will hold one heck of load suspended vertically from it and under adverse conditions (e.g. unbalanced load, shifting load, swinging load, much in-motion contact with hard, rough surfaces, etc.). If you use this Kevlar to make a rope ladder (say you work or live several stories high), and your building is subject to fire, explosion and/or airplane crash, and you are physically fit enough to climb down a rope ladder when your life depends on it, as a last resort to save your life you can descend down your Kevlar rope ladder to ground safety PLUS 20+ other family members, friends, associates, etc. can also all descend down your rope ladder behind you and all be on the Kevlar ladder at the same time and this Kevlar webbing should not break - just as long their total weight does not exceed the Kevlar webbing huge weight limit - even if the room itself or rooms below it are burning. Even if you are on the 100th floor, you may be able to safely and quickly descend down enough floors to be able to land on a balcony, roof top or kick through the window of another room below the danger you have escaped to save your life. You can even use this Kevlar webbing to make a simplified version of a rope ladder by simply tieing knots in a single piece of the webbing every 2-4 feet along its total length and then buying a good pair of leather work gloves and a strong harness (which you can also make from Kevlar webbing) with a large strong buckles or clevises on it to secure you to the Kevlar strapping to safely descend. Consider that if you work or live in a multi-story building, what would you do right now to save yourself and others from a fire, explosion or plane crash in a floor below yours? Experts say that fleeing to the roof and being saved by a helicopter seldom happens in real life. That's because access to the roof without keys, the availability of a rescue helicopter in time, and the ability of the rescue helicopter to get close enough to rescue you are rare.
Kevlar can be combined with other materials to further increase its strength and toughness. For example, you can mix up certain fibers of the right size and aspect ratio with your cement used to secure the plies. You can also use Kevlar in conjunction with ballistic ceramics, carbon cloth and other protective materials. The important thing to remember is that for a garment designed to protect the torso, you want maximum toughness. Toughness is the ability to resist breaking when under violent force. Toughness is somewhat directly proportional to tensile strength - which is extremely high in all known Kevlar materials - and somewhat inversely proportional to stiffness. On one hand, you do not want your protective Kevlar vest to be rock stiff, and on the other hand, you do not want it to tear or even deform more than about 2" under the most brutal force it is designed to protect you against. Consider that the kinetic energy (KE) on object impact equals one-half the object's mass times its velocity squared, and the resulting impact force is equal to the KE divided by the stopping distance. For example, the impact force to stop a projectile in 1" is only 1% of the impact force to stop the same projectile in 1/100". Greater stiffness means greater impact force which means more likely material shattering, penetration and being knocked down. You want the body armor to react to violent force more like taffy and less like concrete. On the other hand, more than 2" of deformation under force usually means more than 2" of deformation of your body from the hit, resulting in likely fatal or near fatal injury from blunt force trauma to your organs, and not just painful but survivable bruising that may not even be severe enough to land you in one of today's super expensive hospitals. The reason why Kevlar plies are used is that you want the force to spread out from the point of impact in a conical fashion to the area of the fabric in contact with your body so that the per-square inch (psi) of the force that reaches your body is orders of magnitude less than the impact point psi. Its not the impact force that kills you, its penetration or psi that kills you! When the plied Kevlar is hit, it deforms into the body, and as it deforms, much of the impact force radiates nearly horizontally in it, resulting in the spread out or radiation of the force in a conical pattern. The black center stripe down this Kevlar strapping is there to help you more perfectly align your ply strips as you sew or cement them together so that there are no borders between the plies. For added protection, consider placing a couple of extra plies over the heart area.
KEVLAR'S MANY OTHER USES: Kevlar webbing and Kevlar sleeving have many other uses - practically unlimited - and many related to safety and security, requiring minimal weight and bulk compared to similar performances from ropes, webbing, cables and chains made from nylon, steel and other high-strength materials. Some of them: Rescue equipment, tow straps, lifting straps, elevator cables, hoists, safety harnesses, horse / carriage harnesses, military and other helmets, core material for conveyor belts / pully belts (can be made into a makeshift pully belt), climbing ropes / rapelling ropes (e.g. rock climbing, spelunking), hang gliding / parachute straps, swing attachments, vehicle barriers, composite bow cores, ground up as tire / clutch / brake pad filler material (replaces asbestos), to make boats and aircraft bodies, cable / pipe / tube protection (Kevlar is also both thermal insulator and great electrical insulator), protective clothing and accessories used in rough sports (e.g. contact sports, paint ball) / industrial / outdoor activities, strapping to secure and lift heavy equipment, crates and bundles of pipes, lumber, other materials, to securely tie down heavy vehicle loads, to protectively wrap or encase fossil bones, delicate parts and equipment subjected to being battered around. Kevlar can also be used to make shoe soles (which should last virtually forever) and shoe and boot linings to protect the feet from nails, glass, animal bites and claws, etc. And Kevlar webbing can also be used to secure vehicles and other Items from theft in some situations because it is very difficult to cut with bolt cutters and unlikely for the criminal to show up with a blade sharp and hard enough to get through Kevlar (so tough that knives and saw blades tend to get snagged in it - see how to properly cut Kevlar below). Kevlar is an ideal material to have around for various construction projects because you can use it to reinforce force-bearing wood, plastic, sheet metal and composite materials you use for much greater strength and toughness (for example, by sandwiching it between two boards or posts used to span a large opening and securely cementing the assembly together). And if you have an especially heavy job, for example, trying to pull out a tree stump or car out of a ditch or raise a car engine, you will really appreciate the great advantages of Kevlar. This Kevlar webbing should be able to replace whatever other lesser webbing material you now have in your winch or hoist of the same or bigger size.
Untreated Kevlar webbing also has low coefficient of friction - as low as about 0.15 - about the same as nylon webbing but with much better strength, toughness, wear resistance and thermal properties than nylon webbing. Kevlar webbing is great for Kevlar skids and Kevlar sled guides. For example, use Kevlar webbing to make Kevlar skids for your truck, van or SUV bed to make it much easier for you to place, position and remove heavy loads, and also protects the bottom and sides of your vehicle's bed from much wear and dings. Use Kevlar webbing to make Kevlar sled guides - Kevlar is so great that polar exploration teams will measure ice thickness every foot for 1,250 miles near the North Pole at temperatures as low as -58 °F using sleds outfitted with Kevlar sled guides ("Popular Science," Feb. 2009, p.29).
Kevlar does have a few disadvantages, all of which can be fairly easily overcome. Kevlar will deteriorate faster than nylon when exposed to water or UV radiation, so in these environments Kevlar materials should always be covered by a sealed, snug-fitting, opaque plastic material or coated with a marine resin (water-protected Kevlar webbing and Kevlar sheets are commonly used in boat construction and boat repairs). And because Kevlar is so extremely strong and tough, it is difficult to cut, and cutting it with even the sharpest scissors or knife often results in fraying or splaying of Kevlar fibers at the cut point. However, if you lay down a line of cement (e.g. plastic model airplane glue) along the desired cut line (both sides), once cured, We have found it much easier to cut Kevlar materials using a sharp Fiskars scissors (We have also heard that tough scissors made by Belmont, Kretzer-Finny, Gingher and Wiss scissors also work good to cut Kevlar cordage and webbing, but have not tried them myself). Much better is a Dremel tool with industrial diamond cutting disk/wheel - cuts clean, neat, fast and straight, never needs sharpening, safer than sharp tools, doesn't require pre-cementing the cut line, and doesn't leave frayed ends (and it also works great on plexiglas, plastics, metals, hardwoods). Dremel tools are about the size/shape of baby bottle, and some use rechargeable batteries. This means that you don't need big, powerful, costly tools or a shop to process Kevlar webbing, but you can work Kevlar even in relatively small spaces and outdoors (used Dremel tools and diamond cutting wheels are usually inexpensive; note that no tools, parts, accessories, cements or other materials are included with this Item). Also, Kevlar's cut fibers should not be breathed in or dispersed; do all of your Kevlar cutting, drilling, etc. outside or in another safe well-ventilated area where you can vacuum them all up and safely dispose of them. And with all tool work, always use safety goggles, dust mask and safety gloves, keep kids, pets, foods and liquids away, and work in a safe and careful manner. We have handled, cut and drilled a lot Kevlar for years and have not suffered any known harmful effects from Kevlar.
Commonly available and relatively inexpensive cements
and additives can be used to secure the Kevlar plies in place while enhancing
Kevlar's already great toughness. Much of this Kevlar information is on the
Internet; however, if you buy 30+' of this Kevlar from us at the same time,
and you ask for it, we will send you the information we have on what cements we find works great on Kevlar and what additives you can add to the cement which
further increases Kevlar toughness.

3/4"-WIDE KEVLAR SLEEVING /
KEVLAR WEBBING SLEEVING MATERIAL
Great for Super-Strong Kevlar Rope Ladders, Kevlar
Harnesses, etc.!
New old stock (NOS) high-quality Dupont Kevlar sleeving. The Kevlar sleeving is taken from the new roll of 0.75"-wide Kevlar sleeving in 10' increments (you choose the length, prices below; we also sell 1.5"-wide and 2.0" wide Kevlar webbing (not Kevlar sleeving), see above). This Kevlar sleeving is about 1/16" thick. You can buy as many continuous feet in 10' increments of this Kevlar sleeving as we have in a new roll, if you buy more than one 10' piece, the Kevlar sleeving will be shipped rolled up as one uncut length unless you specify otherwise (e.g. if you buy 30', you will get one uncut 30' piece). Kevlar sleeving / Kevlar sleeve material is also referred to as Kevlar tubing / Kevlar tube material, Kevlar wrapping / Kevlar wrap material, and as Kevlar sock material.
Kevlar is renowned as a "bullet-proof" material - an incredibly strong and tough material! Kevlar is not only famous for its ballistics stopping properties but also as one of the strongest, toughest, most wear-resistant (scuff-resistant), and most heat-resistant materials used in various other protection, construction and structural applications as well (not to mention how well Kevlar protects Batman). This super strong, super tough Kevlar fabric is widely used by the police, military, aerospace, marine (e.g. boat building / boat repairing), construction, automotive, and sports industries. All popular Kevlars are rated at about 49,000 psi tensile strength - 5 times stronger than nylon of the same size - 5 times stronger than steel cable of the same weight - this Kevlar sleeve material should be able to hold about 1,500 lbs load. Kevlar is also fire resistant and flame resistant - resists charring up to about 900 degrees F (nylon melts, burns and loses almost all of its strength and toughness above about 300 degrees F; nylon releases toxic fumes when it burns).
Note that this is Kevlar sleeving. This is not Kevlar tape or Kevlar ribbon, which is a thin non-sleeving (single-layer) Kevlar fabric, which lacks much of the strength, toughness and resistance to length-wise stretching as this Kevlar sleeving. This is also not Kevlar wick. Kevlar wick is a loose Kevlar weave - not built for strength, toughness or resistance to stretch - which takes advantage of Kevlar's phenomenal resistance to being burned, and which is used as a re-usable lamp wick. However, this Kevlar sleeving, even with its much tighter weave, can be used as a lamp wick in a pinch, and it can also be wrapped around the top of a pole and then dipped into a flammable liquid to serve as a practically indestructable and re-usable torch. Similarly, this Kevlar webbing can be soaked with a fuel and laid out in lines or squares and set afire for optimum aerial spotting purposes (e.g. wilderness rescue).
The big advantage of Kevlar sleeving, as opposed to webbing, is that you can pull it over cables, wire bundles, chains, ropes, rods, pipes, tubes, cylinders and parts it will fit over, including items with odd-shaped cross-sections, as well as round and square, to add strength and to protect them from abrasions, cuts and fire. This Kevlar sleeving fits nicely over the fingers and toes, and can be used as finger protectors / toe protectors where they are exposed to abrasions, cuts, punctures or fire dangers. This Kevlar sleeving also fits nicely over smaller-diameter tool handles for better grip and improved insulation. The inside diameter of the Kevlar sleeving is 3/4" but it expands along its width to about 1" diameter, and lays flat on a spool or reel. While being very strong, tough and fire-resistant, this Kevlar sleeving is pliable and supple - easy to knot and un-knot, to fold, and to roll into a rope and strung through tarp eyelets, making it very versatile for countless uses. It is also compact and lightweight - 100 feet can be easily rolled into a small enough roll to fit inside a pocket, valise, tool box, backpack or concealed in a desk (in case you need to escape through a window to save your life).
ROPE LADDER USES: Also see our Kevlar webbing offers herein. If you use this Kevlar to make a rope ladder (say you work or live several stories high), and your building is subject to fire, explosion and/or airplane crash, and you are physically fit enough to climb down a rope ladder when your life depends on it, as a last resort to save your life you can descend down your Kevlar rope ladder to ground safety PLUS 4+ other family members, friends, associates, etc. can also all descend down your rope ladder behind you and all be on the Kevlar ladder at the same time and this Kevlar sleeving should not break - just as long their total weight does not exceed the Kevlar sleeving great weight limit - even if the room itself or rooms below it are burning. Even if you are on the 100th floor, you may be able to safely and quickly descend down enough floors to be able to land on a balcony, roof top or kick through the window of another room below the danger you have escaped to save your life. You can even use this Kevlar sleeving to make a simplified version of a rope ladder by simply tieing knots in a single piece of the sleeving every 2-4 feet along its total length and then buying a good pair of leather work gloves and a strong harness (which you can also make from Kevlar sleeving) with a large strong buckles or clevises on it to secure you to the Kevlar sleeving to safely descend. Consider that if you work or live in a multi-story building, what would you do right now to save yourself and others from a fire, explosion or plane crash in a floor below yours? Experts say that fleeing to the roof and being saved by a helicopter, while popular in movies, seldom happens in real life because access to the roof without keys, the availability of a rescue helicopter in time, and the ability of the rescue helicopter to get close enough to rescue you are rare.
PROTECTIVE GARMENT USES: You can also use this Kevlar webbing to make head bands, head
caps, neck bands, belts, arm wraps, foot wraps, leg wraps, chaps, and shorts/trousersto
protect and support those vital body areas as well - especially critical if
you are around powerful cutting or puncturing machines (e.g. power nailers,
circular saws, chain saws), or animals which tend to bite or claw the head,
neck or limbs, or rough sports. And as tie-down straps for garments and panels usually made from
heavier Kevlars, such as the Kevlar webbing we also sell (see herein). And as
very strong and durable carrying and pulling handles. And as protective trim
for clothes, luggage, equipment, furniture, etc. to protect surfaces and contact
points which may tend to receive more frictional wear-and-tear than other parts.
Kevlar sleeving is commonly slipped over cable, wire bundles, pipe, hose and
tubing to provide them much greater friction protection, and for fire protection
whether the fire is external or due to an electrical short or bursting situation
inside the Kevlar sleeving, and in addition (if the fitting is snug), helps
protect pipe, hose and tubing from bursting due to high pressures or defects
in pipe/hose/tube wall. As well as providing electrical and thermal insulation
for the jacketed item. And Kevlar sleeving is used as a protective wrap for
larger diameter items.
On the other hand, more than 2" of deformation under force usually means more than 2" of deformation of your body from the hit, resulting in likely fatal or near fatal injury from blunt trauma to your organs, and not just painful but survivable bruising that may not even be severe enough to land you in one of today's super expensive hospitals.
KEVLAR'S MANY OTHER USES:
Kevlar sleeving and Kevlar webbing have many other uses - practically
unlimited - and many related to safety and security, requiring minimal weight
and bulk compared to similar performances from ropes, webbing, cables and chains
made from nylon, steel and other high-strength materials. Some of them: Rescue
equipment, tow straps, lifting straps, elevator cables, hoists, safety harnesses,
horse / carriage harnesses, military and other helmets, core material for conveyor
belts / pully belts (can be made into a makeshift pully belt), climbing ropes
/ rapelling ropes (e.g. rock climbing, spelunking), hang gliding / parachute
straps, swing attachments, vehicle barriers, composite bow cores, ground up
as tire / clutch / brake pad filler material (replaces asbestos), to make boats
and aircraft bodies, cable / pipe / tube protection (Kevlar is also both thermal
insulator and great electrical insulator), protective clothing and accessories
used in rough sports (e.g. contact sports, paint ball) / industrial / outdoor
activities, strapping to secure and lift heavy equipment, crates and bundles
of pipes, lumber, other materials, to securely tie down heavy vehicle loads,
to protectively wrap or encase fossil bones, delicate parts and equipment subjected
to being battered around. Kevlar can also be used to make shoe soles (which
should last virtually forever) and shoe and boot linings to protect the feet
from nails, glass, etc. And Kevlar webbing can also be used to secure vehicles
and other Items from theft in some situations because it is very difficult to
cut with bolt cutters and unlikely for the criminal to show up with a blade
sharp and hard enough to get through Kevlar (so tough that knives and saw blades
tend to get snagged in it - see how to properly cut Kevlar below). Kevlar is
an ideal material to have around for various construction projects because you
can use it to reinforce force-bearing wood, plastic, sheet metal and composite
materials you use for much greater strength and toughness (for example, by sandwiching
it between two boards or posts used to span a large opening and securely cementing
the assembly together). And if you have an especially heavy job, for example,
trying to pull out a tree stump or car out of a ditch or raise a car engine,
you will really appreciate the great advantages of Kevlar. This Kevlar webbing
should be able to replace whatever other lesser webbing material you now have
in your winch or hoist of the same or bigger size.
Kevlar does have a few disadvantages, all of which can be fairly easily overcome. It will deteriorate faster than nylon when exposed to water or UV radiation, so in these environments Kevlar materials should always be covered by a sealed, snug-fitting, opaque plastic material or coated with a marine resin (so-protected, Kevlar is commonly used in boat construction and boat repairs). And because Kevlar is so extremely strong and tough, it is difficult to cut, and cutting it with even the sharpest scissors or knife often results in fraying or splaying of fibers at the cut point. However, if you lay down a line of cement (e.g. plastic model airplane glue) along the desired cut line (both sides), and allow it to cure, we have found it much easier to cut Kevlar materials using a sharp Fiskars scissors (We have also heard that tough scissors made by Belmont, Kretzer-Finny, Gingher and Wiss scissors also work good to cut Kevlar cordage and webbing, but have not tried them myself). However, what works best for us is a Dremel tool with industrial diamond cutting disk/wheel - cuts clean, neat, fast and straight, never needs sharpening, safer than sharp tools, doesn't require pre-cementing the cut line, and doesn't leave frayed ends (and it also works great on plexiglas, plastics, metals, woods). Dremel tools are about the size/shape of baby bottle, and some use rechargeable batteries. This means that you don't need big, powerful, costly tools or a shop to process Kevlar webbing, but you can work Kevlar even in relatively small spaces and outdoors (I buy Dremel tools at the flea market for about $10 each, and diamond wheels for about $1 each; note that no tools, parts, accessories, cements or other materials are included with this Item). Also, Kevlar's cut fibers should not be breathed in or dispersed; if possible, do all of your Kevlar cutting, drilling, etc. outside or in a limited well-ventilated area where you can vacuum them all up and safely dispose of them. And with all tool work, always use safety goggles, dust mask and safety gloves, keep kids and pets away, and work in a safe and careful manner. We have handled, cut and drilled a lot Kevlar and have not suffered any known harmful effects from Kevlar.
Commonly available and relatively inexpensive cements
and additives can be used to secure the Kevlar plies in place while enhancing
Kevlar's already great toughness. Much of this Kevlar information is on the
Internet; however, if you buy 3 or more lots of this Kevlar from us at the same
time, and you ask for it, we will send you the information we have on what cements we believe works best on Kevlar and what additives you can add to the cement
which further increases Kevlar toughness.

TRANSPARENT ELECTRONIC MEGAPHONE
DISGUISES VOICE / DISTORTS VOICE
Used, and it works great. 8" long. Transparent electronic megaphone / voice disguiser / voice distorter. Lightweight. LEDs also light up when it is used. Runs off of 9-volt radio battery; power is turned ON using a convenient trigger-like switch in the handle. Has several voice disguising selections, so you can use it to produces several different sound effects-type voices for yourself. This megaphone goes way beyond being a toy that produces weird variations of one's voice, but can also be used as a security and privacy device, and to produce special effects for performances (parties, plays, stage, home movies, sports events, etc.), Halloween, etc. With today's increasingly dangerous and chaotic environment, you need to take all the steps you can to protect yourself and family. Changed voice is very understandable. Changes even a high-pitched female or child's voice into a deep, gruff male-like voice. Consider if you are an elder or your children are at home alone and a stranger comes to the door. By responding with this megaphone, the stranger should more likely believe adults are in the home, especially if you switch between its different voices a few times giving the impression that there is more than one adult at home when it may only be one child or elder. Certainly, someone at the door will most likely not be able to recognize the voice inside the home, so it protects your privacy as well, from someone who may be "looking for you." Ideal for home security and personal security.

SCABBARD MATERIALS: KNIFE
SCABBARDS,
SWORD SCABBARDS, CHISEL SCABBARDS
These scabbard materials are new materials for making scabbards of many different kinds and types. Now, you can make your own scabbards for your edged devices, including for knives, swords, daggers, bayonets, sabers, samurais, machetes, other cutlery, and other tools, such as saw blades, files, picks, etc. Each set of these materials consists of one piece of hard plastic core scabbard material that is 21" long and will hold blades up to 1-1/4" wide and 1/8" thick, plus one 24" long piece of 1" diameter (1-5/8" flat width) soft plastic heatshrink tubing which you can cover the hard platic core material with if you wish (you can of course use the heat shrink for anything else you want to). The images show these scabbard materials with both a sword and a knife inserted for demonstration purposes to show you how these materials work. You can use these materials to make one or more scabbards by cutting them to your needed lengths. The heatshrink tubing is provided longer than the hard plastic so that by cutting it a little longer than your scabbard, it will conform to the top and/or bottom of the scabbard so there is no exposed scabbard top and/or bottom edge. The heatshrink tubing is shrunk using a heat gun, and it shrinks up to 1/2 its cross sectional size to conform to shapes, which in this case, to the hard plastic core material. The heat shrink tubing reduces only in cross sectional size - not in length. This sale is for one 21" piece of hard plastic core material plus one piece of 24" soft plastic heatshrink material (sword and knife not included).
These scabbard materials are durable materials that should last a very long time. They are very resistant to moisture, oils, salt spray and a wide variation of temperatures and humidity. Water, oils and dirt can only enter the scabbard through its top or bottom (if bottom is left open) - never soaking through either scabbard material itself. And both materials are very easily cleaned. The hard plastic is smooth to permit quick removal of the knife or sword from the scabbard, and for insertion back into it (if the blade does not fit too tightly). The blade can also be lubricated for even faster scabbard action. The hard plastic core material has less stiction to it than any other material We have ever seen used as a scabbard core material. Whether or not you survive a situation in which a knife or sword is required (e.g. being attacked by a feral animal) often depends upon how quickly you remove the knife or sword from its scabbard!
There are numerous scabbard, holder and other related uses of these materials. The most common use is as an inner scabbard form in which a crafts person then embellishes it with a leather, cloth or decorative outer finish. For example, a piece of leather with belt slots and a tie-down loop can be cemented to the back of the hard plastic core length you cut for your scabbard, after curing of cement, the heatshrink is slipped over the hard plastic core and leather, and then heat-shrunk to hold the leather even more securely, and then the outer layer of the heatshrink is covered with more leather, plastic or cloth.
These scabbard materials can also produce working scabbard that one can use to hold and position edged devices while doing additional shop work on them, for example, while adding a hilt or handle or painting, decorating, repairing or restoring the blade's hilt or handle. The hard plastic core material can also be used as a travel and field scabbard for your blades so that your blades are well-protected in your tool box, enroute and in the field (e.g. hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, climbing, spelunking, construction sites, etc.), while at the same time, you can separately store or pack the corresponding decorative scabbard that you use only for your display, sale, storage and other minimal handling situations in safe, clean and controlled environments. A knife or sword always displays and sells better if its original scabbard is in pristine condition. The scabbard you make can also be integrated with a gun holster, saddle, tool belt, boot, etc. You can also make scabbards for your tools, such as chisels and small bits, to keep them clean, dry and safe between jobs. And you can easily make scabbards for your kitchen knives as well, which will not only make them safer to handle but will also protect them from dust and germs floating around in the air eager to land on exposed surfaces, such a knife blades.
These materials make great temporary scabbards you can use to protect knife, sword and tool blades you find at gun shows, flea markets, garage sales and antique stores being sold without their original scabbards (and likely at bargain prices because they lack their scabbards). It sure beats walking around with an exposed blade or sharpened point, or putting it in your carry bag where it can cut or poke through. And if you sell knives, swords and tools with sharp edges or pointed tips, you no doubt have some that don't have scabbards, and even a temporary scabbard is much better than no scabbard at all. Like everything else, scabbards get lost, damaged and worn out, and leather (used to make most scabbards) rots away over the years and decades (especially when used in a rugged or outdoor environment), so many knives, swords and tools still in great shape (especially antiques) no longer have their scabbards, and without scabbards, they have lost much of their utility and value.
Working on these materials is pretty easy. The scabbard material should be slowly cut on a sturdy surface using a fine saw blade generally used for hard steels. The bottom end of the hard plastic core can be "V"-cut to make it conform more to the point end shapes of most knives and swords. You can close the tip of the pointed end with cement (some plastic cements work good with it), or close the pointed or flat end with a screw(s) or rivet(s) so loose tool blades don't fall through. We generally leave the bottom open to permit ventilation so that when outdoors in a humid environment, a little ventilation much reduces any condensation that might otherwise build up inside the scabbard due to high humidity conditions. The heatshrink tubing is shrunk to fit using a heat gun. Most hair dryers don't get hot enough. The heatshrink can also be shrunk using an open flame, radiated stove or oven heat or a large soldering iron. The important thing to remember when shrinking heatshrink tubing is to keep the item rotating and moving in the heat environment so that the heat is evenly distributed and uniformly shrinks the heatshrink as hot spots can cause warped shrinking and even melt the hard plastic core underneath. And then heat the heatshrink tubing just to the point that it shrinks to fit the form - once it has shrunk, remove the heat source.
Scabbards are not only very important in protecting the blade from being exposed to moisture, salts, oils, solvents, dirt, mechanical damage such as edge dulling/chipping and point breaking/blunting, etc., but also to protect those who can come in contact with the blade (especially children and animals), on purpose or accidentally, from getting cut or injured by the blade. Even if you are currently fully outfitted with scabbards for all of your blades, if you unexpectantly lose or damage a scabbard, you could be left with a dangerous exposed blade - it is a very good idea to have spare scabbard material readily available so that you can make yourself at least a temporary replacement scabbard in such situations.
These scabbard materials are antistatic and excellent thermal insulators and electrical insulators. And both scabbard materials are lightweight and durable. The hard plastic core material is transparent (while most are untinted, some come in tints like yellow, amber, blue - we can only send what we have available), so that you can handle and view the blade through the core material (as shown) while it is being protected by the hard plastic core from skin contact. Note that the hard plastic core material is rigid; therefore, if your knife, sword or bladed tool is curved beyond the 1-1/4" overall scabbard width, this scabbard material will not work with it. Also note that the standard size we usually get this material in is 21" long; however, we don't manufacture this material or cut it from longer stock but just get it as shown, so length may vary from about 20.5" to close to 24", and each each stick of the hard plastic core material has one or two small holes punched in the ends, which can be adapted for tie-down or other purpose. Note that this hard plastic core material was NOT manufactured originally for scabbard use but to store highly specialized steel and plastic industrial parts for periods of years to decades; however, it just so happens to also be an excellent scabbard core material which this additional application for it we invented (to the best of my knowledge and belief), and this is why we both use and sell it as scabbard material.

NETWORK BABY-SITTER BABY SAFETY MONITOR
TRANSMITTER & RECEIVER PAIR, USES AC LINE
This is a used, but high quality older design that works fine. While most baby monitors today are wireless, this device transmits the baby's cries on the 120 VAC line. These days especially, there is a very big problem with some types of wireless baby monitors: Just about anyone can purchase a set, cruise your neighborhood in his vehicle, and eavesdrop on your baby and you and your family from the street. Wireless models make it much easier for pedophiles, child snatchers, home invaders, rapists, burglars and thieves to surveil, case and stake out your home. Even if the wireless unit is encrypted, the criminal can use a radio scanner and just search for unusual radio activity emanating from your home based on signal strength alone.

O. M. FRANKLIN IDENTITY MARKING TOOL /
RARE, VINTAGE IDENTITY STAMPING TOOL
Used and works great. O. M. Franklin Identity Marking Tool. This rare and possibly unique stamping tool was originally made for stamping livestock in the mouth as a form of branding them. However, it has many other practical uses where one needs to uniquely identify something in a way that is both permanent (cannot be erased or covered up and won't wear out) and very difficult to counterfeit. You dial in the 4-digit serial number by rotating the wheels at the top of the tool head. Each digit consists of a number of 1/4"-long pointed steel spikes arrayed in the form of a digit (0 - 9) which penetrates or at least indents the material being marked. See upper right of image to see what the stamping looks like. Works especially well with soft-to-medium materials such as leather, plastic, some metals and wood, and flesh between 1/32" to 1/4" thick. Also makes a great collectible. Has some surface discoloration and rust.

LARGE HOT WAX BATH FOR TOOL PRESERVATION
/
PARTS PRESERVATION, CASTINGS, ETC.
Used, clean and works great. Large hot wax bath for tool preservation, parts preservation, castings, etc. There is a hairline crack on lid as shown but it does not affect function or operation.
Look around your shop and we are sure you will find dozens, if not hundreds of valuable tools and parts now being constantly exposed to damage from accidental mechanical contact, dirt, grime, chemicals and corrosion (especially if you live in a rainy or humid area or near ocean) - drill bits, chisels, milling machine bits, saw blades, router bits, screwdriver tips, punches, etc. And exposed sharp edges and points present safety risks. One of the best and easiest ways by far to protect and preserve tools and parts - especially the pointed or cutting ends and edges - is to dip them in hot wax. In fact, you'll find that this method is typically used with new expensive milling machine bits and router bits. When you need the tool or part, you simply peel off the wax, which you can then reuse in the pot (or use as hobby wax to help postion screws, nuts and other small parts, seal holes, etc.).
Great for tools, parts and other gear you seldom use, critical, expensive, kept in reserve, taken on trips (e.g. your car tools, truck tools, boat tools, airplane tools), and used outdoors (e.g. camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, climbing, water sports, spelunking, survival training, other outdoor sports and activities). And great for things you are going to store for long periods of time, for example, for survival purposes.
Wax preserves steel, iron, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, silver, gold, other metals, some types of plastic (high-temperature plastics), ceramics and wood. Especially in a cold or wet environment and/or using a higher-temperature wax where the wax won't melt in the hand due to your body heat or get slippery, waxing a metal tool handle and/or shaft can also both electrically insulate and thermally insulate the tool, and even improve the grip of the tool.
Also, if a tool or part has a sharp point or cutting edge, wax coating helps prevent accidental stabbing or cutting injuries, as well as breaking and dulling of the edge or point.
This waxer can also be used to melt wax for molds and casting applications, such as for making small toys and parts. And when not turned on, the tub is also convenient for mixing cold mix materials such as paints, plaster, plant soils, etc. Practically endless uses for this wax machine. The inside surface particularly resists wet materials sticking to it, and makes it easier to clean.
Fast and easy to use! You just place the wax machine on a flat, level, sturdy surface (out of reach of children and pets) in a clear, clean, dry work environment, plug the wax melter in, turn the wax melter ON, allow the wax to melt (adjustable heat settings), and gently dip in your cleaned tools or other items one at a time to the level that you want the wax to protect, allowing the wax on each item to cool and solidify before touching. When you get ready to use the protected tool or part, you simply and easily peel the wax off. Removing a protective wax coat is much easier than removing a protective varnish or paint coat.
Come half-filled with a clear, colorless wax. There are many sources of cheap wax these days. We generally just buy cheap (usually half-used) candles from garage sales and flea markets for under $1 per pound - much cheaper than special cold liquid dips sold to preserve tools. Note that there are considerable variations in waxes - some hard high-temperature waxes and some soft low-temperature waxes. This machine has an adjustable temperature and will handle a wide range of these variations, so you have the flexibility to choose the ideal wax and melted liquidity for your uses based on hardness, melt point, etc. You can also use waxes of different colors, for example, to distinguish types of tools you are protecting, for example, one wax color for screwdrivers and another for chisels.
Also great for preserving precision machine parts and automotive parts (car parts), preserving jewelry, preserving silverware, preserving hobby and craft items, preserving coins, preserving insects, plant leaves, flowers, your old baby's shoes, preserving precious personal items from a beloved dearly departed, preserving religious artifacts, preserving fossils, preserving rock specimens, preserving gems, preserving collectibles of many types, etc. And hot wax is also great for sealing containers, letters, packages, etc., and for preserving and tamper-proofing them. And for preserving and insulating batteries, electrical terminals (e.g. your car battery terminals), electrical contacts, match boxes, and small ammunition boxes, especially if you are going to spend some days in the wilderness camping, hiking, fishing or hunting. Great also if you are being transferred to an area with a lot of blowing sand, such as the Mid East (e.g. Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.) where you want to keep sand out of items important to you and possibly to your own survival. Having worked at White Sands, NM, for years testing guidance packages on its famous high-G, high-speed Test Track, we discovered that fine blowing sand will infiltrate even into the tiniest spaces, even containers with tight lids (some sand is as fine as confectionary sugar), and contaminate or damage the contents, so even tight containers don't always protect well enough against water (if submerged), gasoline, oil or sand but wax hermetically seals).
Note: Prior to using a hot wax method on any expensive or irreplaceable item or critical situation (e.g. survival training), first experiment with it on much cheaper versions of your items to be sure that hot wax won't cause any kind of problem for you or the preserved item. Caution: The wax gets very hot when it melts, so use carefully with caution to prevent possible injuries and damage. Again, keep always keep hot wax away from pets, children, and irresponsible people just like you would with a boiling pot of stew. Always wear eye, face and hand protection, a heavy long-sleeve shirt, jacket or shop apron, and never drop or throw items into the hot wax as the hot wax may splash onto unintended things. Always gently place and remove items being waxed. We usually tie a cotton string (with a hook on the end) around an unwaxed part of the item to be waxed, and then gently lower item into the wax to the desired depth and then gently raise it out, and then hang the item on a strung rope by the hook until it completely cools and wax solidifies before touching the item. Made by Gema. 15" x 9-1/2" x 8".

TRANSPARENT DYNAMO FLASHLIGHT
DEMONSTRATES ELECTRICITY GENERATION
This fascinating Dynamo transparent flashlight demonstrates the generation of electrical energy using an electrical generated that converts mechanical energy (i.e. the squeezing of the flashlight handle) into electrical energy, and then into light energy (i.e. the flashlight output). The squeeze handle is connected to a fascinating gear and flywheel assembly which drives the dynamo. There is no battery as the flywheel stores the energy. The faster you squeeze, the faster the flywheel turns, and the greater the intensity of the light and the longer the light stays on after you stop squeezing. Great for classroom and scientific demonstration and science fairs. Also great for field, backup or emergency use as you never need a battery, and therefore, you never have to worry about the timing and cost of battery replacements. Of course, this device can be disassembled by removing the screws and then modified to charge a battery, or to provide some other type of electrical or mechanical function. Comes with a built-in spare bulb. Flashlight is shown upside down in image.

WINDOW COPPER FOIL STRIPPING ROLL:
ELECTRONICS, SHOP, SECURITY, ALARMS, CRAFTS,
JEWELRY, SIGNS, VEHICLES, SELF-ADHESIVE, 1/4"
Full, new rolls of self-adhesive copper window foil stripping / copper glass foil stripping / copper film is peel-off self sticking copper foil, made by 3M. New, industrial-grade tamperproof security seals / safety seals. These very high quality, useful and versatile tamperproof numbered seals are bright red tough, durable plastic (you can easily spot and identify your protected item as well as any tampering of it far enough away to not be in danger), 7" long and 3/8" wide, and uniquely numbered with a 7-digit number.
Once sealed, the seal locking mechanism is not accessible and cannot be tampered with. These durable seals cannot be picked open, pried open, sprung open or bypassed without cutting or burning, melting, pulling or twisting the seals apart - all easily visually obvious. To break these strong, yet flexible, seals by manually pulling or twisting on them requires great physical strength - minimizing snatch and grab risks (I was unable to manually break one even using a Stryker orthopedic cast splitter!). These seals very reliably detect, alert and prevent otherwise hidden and secret threats, intrusions, invasions, surveillance, tampering, contamination, pilferage, sabotage, and other rip-offs, security violations and safety violations criminal acts and terrorist acts.
Security seals / safety seals are not usually used to replace locks, but are often used in conjunction with locks to verify that the locks have not been picked (lockpicking tools / lockpicking kits are cheap and widely available Online, elsewhere) or bypassed using an authorized or unauthorized duplicate key (e.g. stolen key, master key), and in cases where the lock keys/combinations must go with the person who the item is temporarily entrusted to (e.g. movers, drivers of trucks and trailers, airline baggage handlers, storage facilities, cargo handlers, emergency personnel), of whom locks alone offer no protection whatsoever. In these cases, if the lock is opened AND the seal is broken, then the entrusted person should have a very good reason, but without the seal, you may either not know or cannot prove that the lock was ever opened (as President Ronald Reagan used to say, "Trust but verify"). And one does not even need to steal a key or have access to a locksmith or key machine to make key duplicates - all one has to do is to make a key impression on a small piece of clay or bubble gum and then hand-file a blank key to match - any crook with access to your keys for even seconds can produce duplicate keys! And there are lists of combination lock combinations based on lock makes, models and serial numbers so even the most rugged combination lock may not be trustworthy!
And some items which seals should protect come with locks so flimsy and easy to pick or bypass that these locks result in virtually zero security and safety (e.g. suitcases, brief cases, valises, purses, jewelry boxes, cash boxes, etc.). Because all locks can be opened with a duplicate key / combination and most can be picked open by someone with rudimentary locksmith skills and locksmith tools, in reality, locks offer very little real protection from persons making secret entries into "protected" areas or items. Locks in these situations provide only a costly false sense of security. The fact is NO MATTER HOW EXPENSIVE AND HIGH-QUALITY A LOCK IS, YOU CAN NEVER BE CERTAIN THAT THE LOCK WAS NOT COMPROMISED - UNLESS YOU USE IT WITH A SECURITY SEAL like these Keller Seals! Even if the criminal must cut the lock or jimmy the lock (e.g. most padlocks) to gain entry, the lock serves then only as a very expensive seal.
The truth is that those with criminal minds who operate or have regular access to storage sheds, storage lockers / storage cabinets, moving containers / moving services, shipping containers / shipping services, motels / hotels / lodges, bed-and-breakfasts, gyms, schools, golf courses, country clubs, sports centers, stock rooms / stock shelves, record areas, secure areas, airlines, etc. routinely obtain master keys, lock combinations lists, lock picking tools and cutting tools to enrich themselves by stealing from all of the fools who think their locks actually secure their valuable items - laughing all the way to their drug dealers at your expense!
In many jurisdictions, the unauthorized breaking of a security seal or safety seal is both a criminal offense and a tort, thereby giving you extra layers of legal protection than just locks by themselves (We are not an attorney so check for yourself for your jurisdiction). If the lock is picked or opened with a key/combination, it is much more difficult to prove that you have been pilfered from, contaminated or compromised (e.g. identity theft, stolen Moneygrams). However, a broken seal or missing seal is very strong evidence of illegal entry - often a very good sign for you to call the police without endangering yourself or contaminating evidence.
One prudent security and safety practice is to use locks with/without seals on outer containers (e.g. truck, trailer, airline, cargo container) and then seals on one or more of the inner containers (e.g. you are moving, or you have a variety of cargo or baggage some of which is valuable).
The replacement cost for each seal is about as much as a tie-wrap of about the same dimensions - so inexpensive that cutting the seal to get to your protected item is a tiny cost compared to the peace of mind the seal gives you. (NOTE: Tie wraps are not a substitute for these seals because tie-wraps (and cheap locks) can be easily picked open using an Xacto knife, paper clip or small screwdriver and then re-applied without a noticeable difference, tie-wraps are not uniquely numbered and therefore cannot be tracked, documented or likely used as evidence in a claim, and cut tie-wraps can be easily replaced by a look-alike).
Many of the valuable item types listed below which seals protect don't usually come with locks but all still need to be protected (e.g. individual jewelry items, antiques, rare collectibles, equipment, expensive tools, expensive electronics, computers, cameras, clothes items and clothes accessories, etc.).
These anti-theft seals are ideal for protecting and sealing countless items: Trailers, cargo, trucks and canopies, cars, motorcycles, bikes, other vehicles, aircraft, boats, RVs / mobile homes, tools / tool boxes, machines / equipment, rental items, furniture, storage lockers / storage cabinets / storage bins / storage sheds, refrigerators / freezers, drug cabinets / medical cabinets, chemical / biological / radiation containers, waste / trash / salvage containers, emergency supplies / food items that cannot be contaminated / unaccounted for, guns / ammunition / weapons of all types, jewelry / jewels / gems / precious metals, valuable antiques / collectibles / collections / display cabinets, toys / games / sports items, store inventory / sale items / demo items / display items, gifts / surprises, shoes / clothes items / clothes accessories, money boxes / money machines, dispensing machines, hand bags, shopping bags, file cabinets, records drawers, luggages / briefcases / valises / portfolios / satchels / dossiers / purses / other leather goods, duffle bags, fuel pumps / dispensers / storages, valves / other control devices / control mechanisms, vending machines / use meters / other usage registration devices, computers / computer peripherals, hard drives / other memory storage devices, consumer electronics, cameras / camcorders, and of course a huge variety of doors, windows, gates, portholes, access points, etc.
These seals are also excellent for sealing your home, job and/or business when you are away from them to make sure some rapist, home invader or stalker is not waiting inside for your return (or your children's return), some pervert is not inside your home fantasizing about your undies when you are out, some thief or burglar is not stealing your stuff and/or your identity (burglaries are a major source of identity theft), or some spy, snoop or goon is not invading your privacy by doing a black bag job on you.
Today, when you are away from your home, job or business, virtually anything is possible! Have you ever gone on a vacation or travel, and when you got back to your home, job, business or school, you found tools and other valuable items mysteriously missing/damaged/dirty from your "locked" office, containers, drawers, lockers and cabinets? Or it looks like someone has rummaged through your stuff? Yet, you have no way of being able to prove anything. Or while you were on vacation or travel, stuff mysteriously disappearing out of your suitcases and bags while you are out for breakfast or at theme park or conference - stolen by motel/hotel/lodge employees with sticky fingers? Does your valuable stuff disappear from one of those "locked" lockers at your school, gym, golf course, sports facility or country club?
These seals are also excellent as cargo seals to make sure that the items that arrive at the destination are the exact same items you shipped and have not been pilfered, switched or otherwise tampered with (you usually have to give the keys to the driver or cargo handler for emergency purposes, e.g. home moves, business moves and freight sales). If you are moving goods and you've hired movers who have the opportunity to steal items or rummage through your drawers, cabinets and plastic bins to steal items or your identity, seals should stop most of them. Because these seals are uniquely numbered, you can keep a detailed record of each item by its seal number as it is being loaded onto the truck or trailer or into storage, and then check them off at the other end or when you later return, so items cannot be tampered with or stolen from you and go unnoticed because you got busy or tired during your move! And you can easily document exactly what items are missing or tampered with for claims purposes. And by relying on seal number ranges to manage where your containers go, you can easily and quickly populate rooms and storage areas at your destination with the appropriate containers without having to open any. Again, these industrial-grade seals are inexpensive - less than 10% of the cost of buying even a modest easily bypassed padlock for each of the items and containers you want to protect during your move, storage or shipping.
These inexpensive security seals are great for seal-protecting clothes and clothes accessories, including expensive suits, dresses, coats, jackets, pants, shoes, belts, purses, leather goods, furs, customized clothes, and designer clothes. The seals are easily threaded through most clothes button holes, belt loops, straps, labels - ideal for someone in the clothes or accessories business - greatly helps you keep track of your inventory and much reduce your theft losses.
These seals are similarly very effective security and inventory tools if you do business with firearms, computers and computer peripherals, expensive electronics, expensive cameras / video tape recorders, expensive equipment / tools, expensive furniture, medical devices / supplies / medicines, athletic equipment, etc. And to tie down and keep track of your items in your retail stores, and especially in open markets like flea markets and hamfests, and your estate sales, garage sales and yard sales.
To survive these days, you practically have to be paranoid - far too many bizarre, dangerous, violent and illegal activities are going on all the time! Home invasions and theft crimes - especially pilferage crimes - are increasing and becoming more brazen. If you want to protect your own safety and your children's safety, and keep what is yours, you MUST increase your personal safety and your security. These industrial safety seals / security seals not only greatly help prevent thefts and privacy invasions but also violent acts perpetrated by violent criminals and terrorists secretly accessing homes, businesses, vehicles, storage areas. And to prevent industrial espionage, sabotage, vandalism, contamination and identity theft. And to prevent surveillance snoops from secretly planting listening devices and miniature cameras, recorders and transmitters (surveillance countermeasures) in rooms and vehicles you use.
When you use seals to seal your home or business, every door, window and other possible entry point should be secured with a seal (keep record of seal numbers with you because even if the crook or stalker uses a similar replacement seal (these particular seals are not known to be commonly available in stores), his seal will have a different number). And when you must leave your valuable items in the hands of someone else or unattended - even for a few minutes - you should use seals to make sure that when you get the items back they have not been rummaged through or, in cases of briefcases, file boxes, computers, internal/external memory storage units, etc., critical data has not been stolen or compromised.
As an Online Seller, we also use these invaluable seals to verify that items we ship, if later returned to me, are the very same items - especially for items that don't come with their serial numbers (some crooked Online buyers buy new or much better condition replacements of junk items they own so that they can then "return" their junk items for refunds). We attach the seal to the body of the Item or wrap the flexible seal a couple of times around the power cord or other cable (so seal cannot be slipped off of the cord without cutting off the connector). Furthermore, these seals often stop unauthorized access to the insides of machines and electronic devices to prevent parts cannibalism, sabotage, vandalism and exposure of the end user to possible injuries.
For expensive machines, furniture and proprietary design items (e.g. inventions), these seals not only stop crooks from stealing the entire item but also stop them from internally accessing, disassembling or reverse-engineering the proprietary device to protect trade secrets and proprietary designs. For example, in one of my businesses where we do a lot of relatively expensive high-tech customized designs (Lone Star Consulting, Inc., lonestartek.com), most of which we do not want the customer to get inside of because of high-voltage and sharp objects dangers, security or proprietary reasons, we use these protective seals to give notice to customers that they are not allowed inside the equipment.
More than one seal can be joined together end-to-end to make a larger diameter seal loop if that is needed, for example, to encircle equipment. Also, you can loop seals together to form a seal chain (i.e. seal daisy chain) so that the seals will secure the protected item to a more distant tie-down point, to connect up two or more protected items, or to seal large girth items where the needed seal length exceeds the length of one seal. You can also use the seals as sort of a "keychain" type device for keeping together and keeping track of like items. And of course the seals can also be used for many of the general uses that plastic tie-wraps are now used for (e.g. they are just the right size for bundling power cords and computer cords).
These seals have practically unlimited other uses, not all security or safety related. Some examples:
To identify and keep track of the location of things for inhouse uses, such as company tools, equipment, materials and supplies distributed to employees and contractors or out on site, and to quickly identify and keep track of your items in situations, for example, where there are multiple employees or contractors on one site.
(2) To group and identify individual, bundles or groups of wires, cables, electrical leads, ropes, ribbons, chains, rods, tubes, pipes, long metal/wood/plastic shop stock, etc.: Huge variety of uses of these seals as wire markers, cable markers, electrical lead markers, rope markers, ribbon markers, chain markers, rod markers, tube markers, pipe markers, shop stock markers. As described above, if the girth of the item or bundle is small, the seal can encircle it more than once, and if the girth is big, two or more seals can be daisy-chained together to encompass the item. With the unique seal numbers, you can then clearly document which item goes with which equipment, system or routing it must go with, so costly confusions and mix-ups are minimized and unauthorized substitutions can be detected.
(3) In accident, natural disaster, criminal, terrorism, medical emergency and field triage situations, these seals can be used in life-saving capacities similar to hospital bracelets to uniquely identify victims or patients on the spot where mistaken identity can result in medical delays and mistakes and cost lives, and to identify and secure evidence and property.
(4) These seals are ideal in situations where for privacy or secrecy reasons you want to conceal the names of persons or items and yet still be able to uniquely identify them and keep track of them, for examples, for medical examination / medical testing, investigative, etc. reasons.
(5) If you have very similar or identical items or containers (e.g. inventory, tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) which you acquired or made, or need to use, repair, modify, install, store, remove from storage, fill orders, ship, cycle or recycle in a certain critical order, these uniquely and sequentially numbered seals are an ideal method to maintain and keep track of them and exactly where items are at all times.
(6) These uniquely numbered seals are also a great means of conducting votes, contests, lotteries, door prizes and as use as uniquely numbered tickets to events and activities.
(7) One person bought some from us because they make, "cool bracelets," and that he would like to make them, "the rage of his school."
(8) These seals can also be used for many and varied arts, crafts and game purposes as they are bright red, attractive and unique in appearance. One person uses them in a horseshoe-like game as tossing hoops to go around pegs labeled with various values. Another uses a few each year as Christmas tree ornaments.
Left image part shows a bundle of 20 of these seals. In my various sales, we are selling these seals in lots of 20 (1 bundle), 40 (2), 60 (3), 80 (4), 100 (5), 500 (25), 1,000 (50) and perhaps other quantities. The number of bundles you receive is in parenthesis next to the size of the lot you buy. For the other lot sizes, please go to my webpages and buy the lot size you need. Of course, with larger quantities, you pay less price per seal and much less S/H cost per seal no matter where you live.
These seals are so versatile and useful that you almost cannot keep enough of them on hand, so buy them in larger quantity. We find it a good practice just to keep about a dozen seals with us in my home, offices, workshops, laboratories, cars and tool boxes at all times as we often need them. Furthermore, since they are so versatile and perform so many important functions, your loved ones will also need some, so ordering in quantity to distribute or gift some to family members, friends and associates is a very good idea because almost everyone - young, old, male, female, of all walks of life - find them very useful.
NOTE: Later availability not guaranteed in quantities above 20,000 Keller Seals.

Finally, Peace of Mind!!
New, industrial-grade tamperproof security seals / safety seals. These safety/security seals are very similar to the Keller Seals described herein with all of the Keller Seals advantages, plus these additional functional advantages: (1) These safety/security seals can be tightened down like a tiewrap - important should you need a tiewrap function along with a seal function. (2) These safety/security seals are thinner so they can fit through smaller holes and all holes more easily.
These very high quality, useful and versatile tamperproof numbered seals are bright orange, tough, durable plastic (you can easily spot and identify your protected item as well as any tampering of it far enough away to not be in danger), 7-1/2" long and 1/8" wide, and uniquely numbered with a 7-digit number.
The fact is NO MATTER HOW EXPENSIVE AND HIGH-QUALITY A LOCK IS, YOU CAN NEVER BE CERTAIN THAT THE LOCK WAS NOT COMPROMISED - UNLESS YOU USE IT WITH A SECURITY SEAL like these security/safety seals!

(10) PILL BATTERY HOLDERS / COIN BATTERY HOLDERS
/
BUTTON BATTERY HOLDERS / ACTUATORS / SWITCHES
New old stock (NOS) black plastic pill battery holders / coin battery holders / button battery holders / actuator switches. Left image of pill battery holder is top of battery holder and right image is the bottom showing the two solderable connections. The pill battery holder will hold any pill battery / coin battery / button battery, capacitor or other similarly-shaped object upto 7/8" in diameter and upto about 3/16" thick. Great for electronic designers for powering small, compact and low-power circuits. These pill battery holders also serve as great actuators / switches - especially if you need a one time switch or a pin-pull switch / actuator. The top of battery holder has 5 castle-like notches - one directly in front of contact opening - where a small piece of non-conductive wood, plastic or cardstock (e.g. toothpick or popsicle stick piece) can be placed between the battery holder contacts to keep them apart and open-circuit using this notch as the guide, and then pulled out to short the contacts together to perform some kind of electronic function. For examples, the battery holder could be used as a safety switch when someone removes the cover of your electronic box, or as pin-pull personal alarm system or trip alarm system - you pull the nonconductive "pin" between the actuator contacts to activate an alarm the attacker can't easily switch off or bypass. Also these are great for testing pill batteries - insert the pill battery, then use your voltmeter to measure its voltage across the battery holder contacts (meter not included). And to compactly store unused pill batteries.

(2) HEAVY DUTY HAND DOLLY BRAKES,
CART BRAKES, HAND TRUCK BRAKES
The pair is used and works great. Industrial grade heavy duty dolly brakes / cart brakes.
The last thing you want is a runaway dolly, cart or hand truck! People get seriously injured - even killed - and property gets destroyed! The results can be catastrophic and extremely costly. One way to help prevent dollies, carts and hand trucks from going out of control is to secure stops or brakes to them, and then to properly apply the brakes when the situation arises, for example, you need to go and get help because the load is too heavy for the slope you have to take it down so that you can move the carrier more safely. The brakes are applied and released by the foot, so you don't have to let go of the carrier or load, or precariously bend down to apply them.
LIMITED QUANTITY. UNIQUE ITEM - We have only one of this Item.

HIGH-TECH EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALISM: Many "high-tech business" owners and their employees today are clearly woefully ignorant of the high technologies they sell (including some giant electronic parts houses!). ABQ-Techzonics of Albuquerque, NM, USA, is owned by John J. Williams, M.S.E.E. Mr. Williams is a former Senior Electronics Design Engineer (Lockheed EMSCO); Professor of Computer Science (New Mexico State University (NMSU)); Electronics Weapons Design Engineer (U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force); Health Physicist (National Institutes of Health (NIH)), etc. Williams is also currently President of Lone Star Consulting, Inc. and CEO of Consumertronics.net. While we don't know everything about everything tech (no one does), we have a high level of expertise. We sell a lot of electronic components / electrical components. Most of these electronic components / electrical components are small electronic parts / electrical parts, such as integrated circuits, optical devices, transistors, rectifiers, diodes, transformers, inductors, capacitors, resistors, displays, switches, relays, crystals, oscillators, transducers, sensors, prototyping, connectors, fuses, wire/cable, power components, etc., as well as some larger electronic parts / electrical parts and electronic test equipment, scientific equipment and industrial equipment / parts, electrical equipment / electronic equipment in general, tools, mounting hardware parts, and special materials. And we also buy and trade these types of items (Trade & Buy Offers). And unlike most electrical / electronic components sellers, many of the electrical / electronic component, etc. lots we buy we set aside some of the electrical / electronic parts, etc. for our own electronic projects and research. We sell those electrical / electronic parts, etc. we don't use. Our suppliers know that if their electrical / electronic parts, electronic test equipment, etc. aren't excellent, good chance we will discover it and they'll hear about it!
