New old stock (NOS), with a little surface discoloration on some insides. Rare, Strong, durable, high-quality Steel Tool, Broom, Brush, Utensil, Rod, Pipe, Handles, Knobs, Sports Equipment, etc. End Caps with Steel Ring Loops. These steel caps are very versatile 5/8" ID caps. For woods and some plastics, the cap can be secured on using a nail or wood screw through the top hole as shown (hole can be enlarged for larger nails or screws). For metals, woods and plastics, steel cap can (also) be cemented or glued on. End cap can be removed and re-used/saved once the tool, broom, brush or other object is worn out or if broken. Great for hanging many different kinds of objects - even heavy objects (e.g. hammers, serving utensils, lawn tools). Also, the cap top is smooth and strong, so also great for pushing on the object or moderate hammering of the object, such as a chisel, punch, scraper, screwdriver or knife. We cemented these steel caps onto the screw ends of 4 of our larger Vise Grip pliers so we can conveniently hang the pliers plus provide greater leverage and comfort in turning the Vise Grip screw. Another great use for these steel caps is to use them to replace rotating disks (which often break off) of "C" clamp screw ends. The cap can also be used as the strong business end of a tool, such as for mashing, crushing, dimpling, dappling, burnishing, wiggling (wigglers are hole center-finding tools). The end cap can also be used at the end of tools in ball-and-socket applications, where a laboratory clamp can act as the socket. These steel caps protect the ends of important objects from abrasion, wear, water damage and mechanical damage. If the object's end diameter is too small for a snug fit, expand it out using heatshrink or other tubing, or tape, or first install a smaller cap, tube or standoff. (2) STEEL ME333 / ME 333 TRIANGULAR SERRATED BLADES TOOLS
CUTTER TOOL, PERSONAL DEFENSE, WEDGE, SAW, International Harvester (IH)

New old stock (NOS) (some surface discoloration due to storage). Rare Steel Triangular Serrated Blades, by International Harvester (IH), ME333 / ME 333 Tools. Printed on the IH box is, "Under Serrated Sections".

You can use these double-edged blades to replace worn out or broken blades of an existing tool, as a DIY project, or as a tool collectible, blade collectible and/or IH collectible. As a DIY project, we take a wood hammer handle, notch it longer down the middle, drill two drill holes, insert the blade and bolt/cement blade into place. These steel IH blades are 3" wide, 3-1/4" long, 1/16" thick. Holes are 3/16" dia, 2-1/16" apart.

These IH blades have many possible uses: Great for cutting all kinds of stalk or fibrous plants (eg: weeds, tree branches, roots, hay, bamboo, cane, etc.) and other materials. Also great as a wedge. Also great as a personal protection weapon - ideal to parry many types of attack weapons, and to inflict serious damage if needed for self-defense. And as a throwing knife. Also great as cutlery blades for chopping, sawing, butchering and skinning foods and other materials.

The two IH blades can be welded, brazed, bolted and/or cemented together back-to-back to make an even more awesome tool or defensive weapon. (1) RARE KINEDYNE OKHZ6, #32326 CAP CLAMP/END CLAMP/NUT HOLDER/PART GRIPPER TOOL

Used and in very good condition. Steel Rare Kinedyne OKHZ6 #32326 Cap Clamp / End Clamp / Nut Gripper / Part Holder Tool. These clamps have six steel "teeth" on the underside as shown. These clamps close/open from 3/8" dia. (1/4" depth) to 5/8" dia. (1/2" depth) (see 2nd image, right clamps). To open the clamps from the closed setting, you push in the small button just above the knurled ring (see 2nd image, left clamp) and while doing that, pull the knurled ring up. Pushing the knurled ring forward closes the clamp. We do not know exactly what these very high quality cap-type clamps are designed for (clamps? grippers? end sealers?). We use them to grip nuts and other small parts. Makes starting nuts on bolts a lot easier - a gripping adjustable hex driver. Also great for gripping the ends of and holding tubes, pipes, rods, bolts, hoses and bottle tops 3/8" to 5/8" dia. The heavy duty rings can be used for improved holding of the tool, for hanging or storing gripped objects, for passing thru a rope/cable/wire/chain, or for snapping on a carbiner or other type of clip or clamp.

New old stock (NOS). 8 ounces of Techzonics.com Roof Leak Stopper (RLS). Nothing is more frustrating and potentially very costly to deal with than roof leaks! This product was developed by us to stop small roof leaks on pitched roofs which use asphalt shingles. As asphalt shingle roofs age, small water leaks usually start appearing in areas that typically get more water or wind on them than the other 95+% of your roof (e.g. near the air conditioner, areas of higher wind). Many people wastefully get their entire roofs re-roofed when 95+% of it may still have months and even years left in them.

We have not yet tested this product on flat roofs, nor on roofs covered by materials other than asphalt shingles, where this product may or may not work well. On flat roofs, you may have to manually spread the RLS around the roof using a broom to get it to work into the leak holes and cracks. This product may also work on other types of leaks, including possibly repairing outside hose leaks, sewer pipe leaks, etc. However, do NOT use this product in conjunction with anything that may carry or provide water used for drinking, cooking, bathing, cleaning, or water for animals or plants.
          THEORY OF OPERATION: Our Roof Leak Stopper works similar to the way some car coolant system leak stoppers work; the ones that work by water flowing due to gravity into the leak hole or crack it can access, carrying small particles that then clog up the leak, thereby stopping the coolant leak, thereby saving you expensive repairs. With the RLS, you simply spread a line of the RLS particles onto your roof just above the suspected roof leak entry point. Then when it rains, the rain, pulled by gravity, washes the particles down into all of the small holes and cracks where water can enter, thereby clogging up leaks, thereby stopping the roof water leaks it can access, thereby saving you expensive repairs.
          HOW OUR RLS IS APPLIED: Our RLS is simple to apply. You locate the specific area on the roof where you think that the water may be leaking into the attic space and perhaps also dripping onto the ceiling. You then spread the Techzonics.com Roof Leak Stopper (RLS) in a line on the roof a few inches above the area of the suspected roof entry point. Then, when the next rain comes, it washes the RLS particles down the roof, thereby plugging up the leak holes and cracks - perhaps even many areas where there are smaller leaks or leaks just getting started that have not noticeably affected ceiling areas yet. NOTE: The best time to spread the RLS is within a day or so of an expected rain, but be sure a windy time is not expected to occur before the next rain (as wind can blow the RLS off the roof). The roof may be dry, damp or wet when you spread the RLS.
          WHAT IS IN THE TECHZONICS.COM RLS: The Techzonics.com RLS consists of a special blend of several lightweight metals. These metals are highly corrosive-resistant. Corrosion-resistance is critical, because when you apply the Techzonics.com RLS, you want it to last for years at least, and not corrode away within a short period of time. Another critical criteria of the metal particles is that they are of various sizes and shapes to be able to effectively clog various small leak hole and crack sizes and shapes. Another critical criteria is that these metals be lightweight, so they easily flow with flowing water. One of its alloys contains a small amount of nickel content, so it can be picked up by a strong magnet. There is no known lead or other heavy metals in this product. This product has no iron or steel particles, so it won't rust. We have done a lot of experiments here to find the optimum metals and metal combinations and proportions to do the optimum job of clogging roof leaks on pitched roofs, so our formulation is proprietary. If you are unsure about this product but want to try it out anyhow, then consider trying it out on a small leak limited to a small part of your roof, or on a less critical roof (e.g. shed roof, dog house roof). If that then gives you the confidence that this product works well for you, then of course consider expanding its use. Perhaps even freely telling your friends and family about it.
          CAUTION: Pitched roofs are always especially dangerous. Be very careful at all times on any roof, and when climbing up and down to and from higher surfaces. Highly pitched roofs are even more dangerous. Roofs are also more dangerous while wet or damp, with an incoming storm (lightning can even strike from a storm 20+ miles away), when there is wind, and/or if you are in bad healthy or are unsteady on your feet. If you are having electrical problems from electrical devices powered by wires going thru your attic, never go onto the roof, especially if the problems increase during precipitations and periods of high humidity. The user of this product assumes full responsibility for his/her own safety and the safety of those around him/her. If you lack the physical abilities to safely climb roofs, either don't buy this product, or consider hiring somebody to do the roof work himself/herself.

Ring plating is metal (conductive to electricity), and not paint or plastic. We are not sure whether the plating is brass or gold (we can't a ring to corrode, even with acid). Rings are precut, which means that you can open them to insert things onto the rings (e.g. keys, tools, collectibles, O-ring uses, etc.), and reclose them as you wish. We are able to open and close the rings just using our fingers, so most people should not require tools to open/close these rings. The primary purpose of this tape is to hold onto objects using medium adhesive strength so that in many cases the tape can later be removed with minimum object marring, scarring, tearing, distorting, and sticky residue left behind. We find this tape is ideal for layout work, object bundling, displays, photo layouts, splicing photos, and similar. While full adhesive strength tape (i.e. clear tape) is great for many uses, full adhesive strength tape has major disadvantages:
First, common clear tape will often mar, tear, lift up, separate, and/or distort the surface it is taped onto if removed. For many tape uses, you should not use a tape with ultra-strong attachment, but a tape which is strong enough to hold what you need to hold, but not so strong that it damages the surfaces it was on if removed or shifted. This is why this no-mar tape is an excellent tape for masking and splicing uses, and for attaching things together or onto objects (e.g. gluing a broken statue, dish or wood furniture), especially great for scrapbooking, attaching photos (e.g. montages) and collectibles to a backing (e.g. stamps, currency, documents, etc.), for splicing film strips, and as a clear masking tape (e.g. for painting) with minimal risk of damaging the underlying surfaces.
Second, while writing on many clear tapes may not be possible, you can write on this no-mar tape with a permanent marker and it won't smear or easily rub off. Yet, this no-mar tape is about as strong as clear tape when it comes to trying to tear it, while transparent tape (which also can be written on) tears far too easily.

While this no-mar tape is much less likely to damage an underlying surface, we have not tested it on all surface types or under all conditions, and thus we cannot guarantee that the surface you may use it on won't be damaged by it, so experiment with it first on the same type of surface of an expendable object or object part before carefully applying it to more important objects. Also, since its stickiness is less than that of full-strength tape, don't expect this no-mar clear tape to hold on as strongly as the full-strength tape. If you need a macho tape, then certainly use a macho tape. But if you need a strong but much less risky tape, then use this tape.

New old stock (NOS). Strongly Magnetized Magnetic Strip, 1/2" wide, 1/4" thick. Mag Strip back is non-adhesive and is also strongly magnetic, therefore double-sided magnet strip. Magnetic Strip is sold here in 5-feet increments. This stuff is great! You cut off the sizes you need for your particular uses. We measured the magnetic pull strength to be 12.75 ounces per square inch in direct contact with iron, which is a much more practical and useful way of rating magnetic strength for many uses than is Gauss or Tesla.

NOTE: Be very careful when you buy magnetic items Online where you cannot actually test the magnetic item yourself prior to purchase. Even the magnetic strength of reputable commercial magnetic strip varies greatly - strongest mag strip can be 3+ times stronger than weakest. With shady dealers, the variation can exceed an order of magnitude (10+), with some mag strip so weak it can barely hold up razor blades or stick to a fridge - much less hold up a sturdy steel sign, pliers or knives. If you need very weak magnetic strip, then buy from them. Otherwise, if the seller does not describe directly in his/her ad what the magnetic strength is in terms that you clearly understand with an actual value as we did above, then based on our experiences, you should strongly reconsider any decision to buy. Terms like, "strong," "powerful", "commercial strength," "industrial strength" and similar have no meaning unless backed up by an actual understandable numerical value. In 80+% of our experiences at remotely buying magnetic strips, the "magnetic strips" we received were so extremely weak as to be useless for anything but holding razor blades and paper clips. In fact, when we complained about one big dealer of mag strip using an unsubstantiated magnetic strength term in his ad, he laughably claimed that the term did not apply to the magnetic strength of his mag strip (which was only slightly more magnetic than wood), but to the "commercial strength" glue of his mag strip self-adhesive backing (which was also extremely weak).

This plastic-matrix strip magnetic material is extremely versatile as well as strong. In addition to adhering to steel and iron surfaces, it can also be cut or sawed (each piece retains its magnetic properties), drilled, nailed or screwed (drill a pilot hole first), sanded and polished, shaped and molded to fit rounded surfaces, painted (use a paint which adheres to plastic surfaces), and glued and cemented (common silicone rubber cement works well on most surfaces). Its uses are practically endless from holding up tools, utensils, parts, signs and displayis, to keeping cabinet and other doors closed, to picking up dropped or stored small iron and steel objects (e.g. screws, bolts, nuts, nails, tacks, pins, etc.), to holding blades and bits, to holding parts together during disassemblies and assemblies, to holding glue jobs together, etc. We are constantly finding how very useful and handy this magnetic strip is. This sale is for stainless steel Pakosnap weighted photo clips with the weight that fits inside or outside of the clip. This clip is perfect for hanging film (roll or sheet) or for hanging or stretching any other kind of sheet material (1/4" thick or less in thickness) its strong grip will hold to prevent curl. The advantage of weighted photo clips over the unweighted ones, is that if curl is a problem, the unweighted clips require attachment to external weights or springs to provide the necessary stretching force. The weight can be easily switched from the inside to the outside and vice-versa, by removing the hinged front end of the clip and slipping the weight On or Off, and then snapping the front end back into place. We prefer the weights inside the clips because the weight can then be easily slid forward as a wedge to lock the clip in the closed or locked position to hold greater loads and then easily pulled back to permit release of the clip.

This kind of clamping action is similar to a very clever tool made and used by American Indian jewelry makers and silversmiths (i.e. ring clamps / wedge clamps) to quickly, securely and very comfortably hold and position jewelry, gems and metal pieces they are working on without damaging or marring the pieces. Their wooden ring clamp tool consists of two pieces of hardwood (today, they are also made from plastic and metal), each about the shape and size of a hotdog bun half - at least one end, and sometimes both ends, has a leather, rubber or plastic cover on it. The two pieces are connected to each other (flat sides facing each other) about in the middle by a pivot so that one board acts like a seesaw on top of the other board with a 1" - 2" maximum end opening or "mouth" at one end when the other end is pinched closed. The work piece is placed in the mouth of one end with the leather/rubber/plastic cover, and then a wedge is shoved into the other end forcing the mouth end to snugly close onto and secure the jewelry piece or other object into place. The amount of force used to insert the wedge dictates the amount of "bite force" the mouth end applies on the work piece being worked on. The wedge end is held by the crafts person.

In fact, the wedge-shaped weights of these Pakosnap clips actually make ideal wedges for ring clamp jewelry tools (which anyone can easily make from 1" or greater diameter dowel wood). The screw shaft is left-hand threaded at one end, and right-hand threaded at the other end. Also included are the two steel rods, with center holes, one left-hand threaded and one right-hand threaded. The shaft screws into the rods, as shown, to whatever spacing you need. Then, when you turn the screw in one direction, the rods come together from both shaft ends at equal rates; and when you turn the screw in the opposite direction, the rods pull apart at equal rates.

Great do-it-yourself (DIY) critical tool parts. These strong, high-quality parts can be used by you to make a self-centering vise, small scissors lift, pull/push type tool, measuring tool, or similar tool to your specifications and configuration. They were originally intended to make Hermes-like vises (e.g. engraving vises), but never used. Used and in very good condition. Heavy-Duty Steel Boat Mooring / Tie-Down Fixture / Jig, chrome-plated, likely for boat dockings and boat anchorings. While two mooring jigs are in the images to show the jigs views and settings, this sale is for one boat moor / tie-down device jig. The front extension part is spring-loaded and retractable, and is locked IN or OUT by a push-in action. Our best guess is that this is a boat tie-down or mooring fixture, but we are not certain. While it is likely used as a boat moor for docking boats or anchoring boats, it has many other possible uses as well, for example, this Device makes a very strong Push-On / Push-Off Deadbolt Lock for doors, gates, windows, etc. Just add a bracket to receive and hold the bolt, or chisel out a receiving space. And it can be used as a spring-loaded clamp, holder or press.

We don't know the original purpose for the dual-position feature, other than perhaps to apply or relieve tightness of the tied rope, cable or chain. If you know what this device is really used for, please freely let us know. While heavy-duty, chrome plated and very good quality, it has no make or model markings on it.

Boat mooring jig is 5-3/4" long when compressed, 6-1/2" when expanded. Height is 2-3/4". Width of main body is 1-11/16". Width of front extension (T-handle) is 3-1/8", 3/4" high, 1/4" thick. Width at feet is 3-1/2". Side-to-side spacing width of 1/4" feet holes is 2-1/2", and hole spacing front-to-back is 3-1/4" (both center-to-center hole distances). Front pair of feet are 3/8" higher than back pair, which if you need to can compensate for with nuts or washers. Center hole in back is 7/16" dia. Weight is about 1-3/4 lbs.

While high-quality heavy duty brushed stainless steel plates, they can be reasonably drilled, sawed and even punched - I punched one out by hand using a 1-1/8" dia Greenlee hole punch (I am almost 70). These stainless steel plates were originally designed for ceiling fans and lights, but have numerous other practical uses. This Pully Assembly consists of one 2-1/2" diameter pully, one 1-1/2" pully, and two 1/2" pullies. Each pully is wide enough to handle rope up to 1/2" in diameter. At the top is a swiveled clevis mechanism for hanging the pully on a support structure. The angle of the pully guide is adjustable by removing the screw (one on both sides as shown) and then adjusting the pully guide to a new hole for a new pully guide angle, and then replacing the screws. The pully guide has two sturdy metal flapper grippers that if the rope is place between them (rope does not have to be placed between them), the rope locks into place for each pull so you can pause or rest between rope pulls if needed (once the load is removed, the grippers can be easily manually opened to remove the rope). Used and in very good condition. Dual Roller Assemblies. Industrial grade. Excellent quality roller wheels have bearings (NOT bushings), so they will roll smoothly for many years. Wheels are 1" in diameter with 1/4" spacing between wheels. Clearance space below the wheels is 1-1/16" wide by 9/16" between wheels and frame.
How these work is that you install a steel rod of the length you need, with crossectional dimensions less than the clearance space (e.g. 1" x 1/4", 1" x 3/8", or 1" x 1/2"), and with enough spacing to clear the wheels below the ceiling it is hung from (1+"), and with the dual roller assemblies threaded onto the rod before attaching the final end piece (all wheels pointing up). Because of the spaces beween the wheels, if your steel rod is long, you can install brackets in the middle that also attach to the ceiling for greater support. You then hang from the chain links at the bottom whatever you need to hang that the assembly will support.

Used and in very good condition. Elastrator Elastic Band Expander, Rubber Band Expander. Commonly sold as a Veterinary Castration Tool / Emasculation Tool. For elastic bands 1/4" - 2-1/4" diameter. This Elastrator tool is unbeatable for expanding out heavy-duty elastic bands. We bought two, are keeping one and selling this one. Tiewraps are usually not optimum for bind groups of bundled objects in which one or more objects is not in direct contact with the tie wrap, thereby tending to slip out from the middle of the bundle. With an elastic band, the elastic pressure pushes the bundle tightly together, thereby minimizing slippage even in bundles consisting of dozens of individual objects. Even for ordinary store-bought rubber bands, this Elastrator Elastic Band Expander tool is a big advantage because you can expand and place the elastic band with just one hand using this tool while you grip and place the object or bundle to be banded with your other hand. And heavy elastic bands are difficult to expand with your hands, requiring both hands to expand, and can snap out of your grip producing a bad sting or flying off some great distance. Where does one get heavy-duty elastic bands? We've seen them commercially sold (most commonly as Elastrator Bands, Qty 100 for $15-$20), but what we do is buy from a bike shop (for $1-$3 each) discarded heavy-duty bike tubes but still in mostly very good condition (bike tubes come in various wheel diameter and tube diameter sizes), then we cut them into 100-200 bands of various widths. These bike tube rubber bands hold on much more securely than ordinary rubber bands, and last perhaps 10 times longer. Our main use for them is for bundling-up tubes of ICs, and also for bundling-up metal tubing and other metal stock, hoses, dowel rods, wires and cables, long screws and bolts, electronic parts (e.g. antennas), tool accessories with their tools, and tools with related tools, etc. Can also be used for bundling such things as flower arrangements, eating utensils, school supplies, craft items, closing non-zip type bags, etc. This versatile tool can also be use to quick and easily make air coils (e.g. to make inductors or to wrap wire, cable, string, thread, tubing, ribbon) up to about 4" in diameter - you simply slide onto each tyne a spool (not provided - empty thread spools work great), expand the spools out to the desired coil size, tape the tool handles so the expanded size stays fixed, wrap the coil, remove the tape, allow the tynes to close back in, and remove the coil from the spools.

Used and in very good conditions. Beseler Photo Enlarger Negative Carriers anodized aluminum. Each Beseler Negative Carrier is 6-3/8" dia (inner circle is 4-1/4" dia), with a 3" x 1-1/8" handle. These items are hinged so that the top part lifts above the bottom part; you then put your photo negative between the posts of the bottom part, then close the top part back down to press on the negative so the negative is flat and locked into place. Cut-outs are 1-1/8" x 1-1/8", 2-1/4" x 2-1/4", and 2-1/4" x 3-1/4", and each comes in its original Beseler box (not shown).

Used and in great condition. Rare pair of heavy duty steel Curved Rails. This is a very unusual type of railing. It is constructed very much like the straight slide rails that support heavy kitchen drawers - sturdy steel construction using ball bearings - except these rails are curved. Each rail is 1-3/4" wide and 1/2" thick. Shown are two rails taped together. The brownish end patches are pieces of velcro hook material that was used to turn a carousel-like container in the middle. Each rail is 15-1/2" end-to-end. Height of the arch in the middle is 1-1/4" when placed on a table. The rails are shown in their fully contracted positions. When the center pieces are fully extended, the rail length almost doubles in length. Great for any job where you need to rotate an item or work around with minimal efforts, especially if item or work is fairly heavy and/or large.

Rare, large vintage perforated Phenolic Board, high-voltage, 8-1/2" x 17" X 1/8" Vectorbord Perforated Board. Holes are 0.1" diameter, with hole-to-hole spacing of about 0.265." There are 32 holes each row and 64 holes each column (2,048 holes total).

Phenolic has great properties, and numerous phenolic applications, especially high-voltage applications. Phenolic properties include: Resistance to high-voltages (excellent dielectric strength), excellent electrical insulator and thermal insulator, light weight, easily machinable, good mechanical strength and dimensional stability, retains chemical structure and rigidity at high temperatures, doesn't corrode or spark, low moisture absorption and high humidity resistance, excellent resistance to chemicals (e.g. acids, lubricants, cleaning solutions), excellent resistance to splitting and splintering. METAL CLIPS FOR 9-VOLT RADIO BATTERIES

New old stock (NOS). No more cheezy, expensive, flimsy and plastic 9-volt battery clips/9-volt battery holders for you! These high-quality, well-manufactured, rugged aluminum or steel industrial-grade 9 VDC battery (9V radio battery) clips/holders, while originally not designed to hold batteries but for a different use, these clips securely and snugly hold 9-volt batteries into place. We use a ton of these highly versatile 9V battery holders / 9V battery clips in electronic equipment we build, often to replace existing 9VDC battery holders / 9VDC battery clips in equipment used in our electronic laboratories and shops, and for a very wide variety of other holding, securing, hanging, guide, joining applications for the many other parts, tools, prototype boards, rods, small pipes and cabling which conveniently fit into them.

These 9-volt battery clips can mount batteries in any orientation, and adapt to all kinds of battery clip mounting constraints found in equipment: They can be mounted in any of the 3 axes, and they can hold the battery or other part either on its side or its end. There is a bottom tab in the middle of both sides of the holder, about 1/2" x 1/2" each. Either or both of these tabs can be drilled or punched for a mounting screw or pop rivet hole to mount them on the side or bottom of a project box. And either or both tabs or sides can also be bent out at 90 degrees for flat mounting on the side or bottom of a chassis. And either or both tabs or sides can be sawed off or even broken off with pliers (by bending the tabs up and down several times to induce metal fatigue). The battery clip center or ends can also be punched or drilled for mounting a pop rivet or screw to mount it without the tabs. Or the battery holder can be simply cemented into place or tied in place using tiewrap.

By squeezing in the holder/clip sides, you can considerably stiffen the grip on the battery or other part to prevent it from falling out under even rugged handling of your enclosure (we even mounted one as a test to the underside of a car and it kept the battery in place for 6 months until we removed it); and by pulling the sides slightly more apart, you can considerably loosen the grip on the battery or other part for more easy placement of it. Changing the distances between the sides also allows the clip to be used with parts of varying sizes and shapes. For thinner items, you can use wood, plastic, rubber or cardstock spacers to help secure electronic parts and other parts using these holders. And for thicker items, you can cut off or bend away one side of each of two holders, and then space the holders apart the right distance to accommodate the thicker item.

These holders are so versatile, you should keep at least several in each of your work areas. Aside from holding not only batteries but numerous other small parts, two or more can be used to securely hold, separate and/or route long items, like rods, pipes, tubing, cabling and wiring. And they can be easily used to secure adjacent flat items together in several ways. They are very versatile for many, many uses.

Battery and battery terminals (i.e. battery connectors) are not included. CAUTION: As with all items made from sheet metal, handle with care as getting cuts is always possible if you are not careful, and always of course work safely, including using gloves and protective eyewear, facewear, apron, etc.

New, industrial-grade tamperproof security seals / safety seals. These very high quality, useful and versatile tamperproof numbered seals are bright red, tough, durable plastic (you can easily spot and identify your protected item as well as any tampering of it far enough away to not be in danger), 7" long and 3/8" wide and flat, and 7-digit uniquely numbered seals.

Once sealed, the seal locking mechanism is not accessible and cannot be tampered with. These durable seals cannot be picked open, pried open, sprung open or bypassed without cutting or burning, melting, pulling or twisting the seals apart - all easily visually obvious. To break these strong, yet flexible, seals by manually pulling or twisting on them requires great physical strength - minimizing snatch and grab risks (I was unable to manually break one from its locking mechanism even using a Stryker orthopedic cast splitter!). These seals very reliably detect, alert and prevent otherwise hidden and secret threats, intrusions, invasions, surveillance, tampering, contamination, pilferage, sabotage, and other rip-offs, security violations and safety violations criminal acts and terrorist acts to your person, property, home, business and work site.

Security seals / safety seals are not usually used to replace locks, but are often used in conjunction with locks to verify that the locks have not been picked (lockpicking tools / lockpicking kits are cheap and widely available Online, flea markets, elsewhere), or bypassed using an authorized or unauthorized duplicate key (e.g. lost key, stolen key, master key), and in cases where the lock keys/combinations must go with the person who the item is temporarily entrusted to (e.g. movers, drivers of trucks and trailers, airline baggage handlers, storage facilities, cargo handlers, emergency personnel), resulting in locks alone not providing any protection. In these cases, if the lock is opened AND the seal is broken, then the entrusted person should have a very good reason, but without the seal, you may either not know or cannot prove that the lock was ever opened (as President Ronald Reagan used to say, "Trust but verify"). And one does not even need to steal a key or have access to a locksmith or key machine to make key duplicates - all one has to do is to make a key impression on a small piece of clay or bubble gum and then hand-file a blank key to match - any crook with access to your keys for even seconds can produce duplicate keys! And there are lists of combination lock combinations based on lock makes, models and serial numbers so even the most rugged combination lock may not be trustworthy!

And some valuable items which you need to add seals to protect come with locks so flimsy and easy to pick or bypass that these locks result in virtually zero security and safety (e.g. suitcases, brief cases, valises, purses, jewelry boxes, cash boxes, etc.). Because all locks can be opened with a duplicate key / combination and most can be picked open by someone with rudimentary locksmith skills and locksmith tools, in reality, locks offer very little real protection from persons making secret entries into "protected" areas or items. Locks in these situations provide only a costly false sense of security. The fact is NO MATTER HOW EXPENSIVE AND HIGH-QUALITY A LOCK IS, YOU CAN NEVER BE CERTAIN THAT THE LOCK WAS NOT COMPROMISED - UNLESS YOU USE IT WITH A SECURITY SEAL like these safety/security seals! Even if the criminal must cut or break the lock or jimmy the lock (e.g. most padlocks) to gain entry, the lock serves then only as a very expensive seal.

The truth is that those with criminal minds who operate or have regular access to storage sheds, storage lockers / storage cabinets, moving containers / moving services, shipping containers / shipping services, motels / hotels / lodges, bed-and-breakfasts, gyms, schools, golf courses, country clubs, sports centers, stock rooms / stock shelves, record areas, secure areas, airlines, etc. routinely obtain master keys, lock combinations lists, lock picking tools and cutting tools to enrich themselves by stealing from all of the fools who think their locks actually secure their valuable items - laughing all the way to their drug dealers at your expense!

In many jurisdictions, the unauthorized breaking of a security seal or safety seal is both a criminal offense and a tort, thereby giving you extra layers of legal protection than just locks by themselves (we are not an attorney so check for yourself for your jurisdiction). If the lock is picked or opened with a key/combination, it is much more difficult to prove that you have been pilfered from, contaminated or compromised (e.g. identity theft, stolen cash, stolen untraceable valuables). However, a broken seal or missing seal is very strong evidence of illegal entry - often a very good sign for you to call the police without endangering yourself and loved ones or contaminating evidence.

One prudent security and safety practice is to use locks with/without seals on outer containers (e.g. truck, trailer, airline, cargo container) and then seals on one or more of the inner containers (e.g. you are moving, or you have a variety of cargo or baggage some of which is valuable), such as jewelry boxes, important papers boxes, tool boxes, collectible boxes.

The replacement cost for each seal is about as much as a tie-wrap of about the same dimensions - so inexpensive that cutting the seal to get to your protected item is a tiny cost compared to the peace of mind the seal gives you. (NOTE: Tie wraps (zip ties) are not a substitute for these seals because tie-wraps (and cheap locks) can be easily picked open using an Xacto knife, paper clip or small screwdriver and then re-applied without a noticeable difference, tie-wraps are not uniquely numbered and therefore cannot be tracked, documented or likely used as evidence in a claim, and cut tie-wraps can be easily replaced by commonly-available look-alikes).

And you can more easily document exactly what items are missing or tampered with for claims purposes. And by relying on seal number ranges to manage where your containers go, you can easily and quickly populate rooms and storage areas at your destination with the appropriate containers without having to open any, and saves you much work in moving containers from wrong rooms to right rooms. More than one seal can be joined together end-to-end to make a larger diameter seal loop if that is needed, for example, to encircle even larger equipment. Also, you can loop seals together to form a seal chain consisting of several interlocked seal loops (i.e. seal daisy chain) so that the seals will secure the protected item to a more distant tie-down point, to connect up two or more protected items, or to seal large girth items where the needed seal length exceeds the length of one seal. You can also use the seals as sort of a "keychain" type device for keeping together and keeping track of like items strung onto the seal. And of course the seals can also be used for many of the general uses that plastic tie-wraps are now used for (e.g. they are just the right size for bundling power cords and computer cords).

These seals have practically unlimited other uses, not all security or safety related. Some examples:

(1) To identify and keep track of the location of things for inhouse uses, such as company tools, equipment, materials and supplies distributed to employees and contractors or out on site, and to quickly identify and keep track of your items in situations, for example, where there are multiple employees or contractors on one site using similar tools and equipment.

(2) To group and identify individual, bundles or groups of wires, cables, electrical leads, ropes, ribbons, chains, rods, tubes, pipes, long metal/wood/plastic shop stock, etc.: Huge variety of uses of these seals as wire markers, cable markers, electrical lead markers, rope markers, ribbon markers, chain markers, rod markers, tube markers, pipe markers, shop stock markers. As described above, if the girth of the item or bundle is small, the seal can encircle it more than once, and if the girth is big, two or more seals can be daisy-chained together to encompass the item. With the unique seal numbers, you can then clearly document which item goes with which equipment, system or routing it must go with, so costly confusions, mix-ups, stress and anger are minimized, and unauthorized substitutions can be detected.

(3) In accident, natural disaster, criminal, terrorism, medical emergency and field triage situations, these seals can be used in life-saving capacities similar to hospital bracelets to uniquely identify victims or patients on the spot where mistaken identity can result in medical delays and mistakes and cost lives, and to accurately identify and secure people, evidence and property in crime scenes, accident scenes, natural disaster situations, and terrorist situations.

These very high quality, useful and versatile Avery tamperproof seals are white, tough, durable plastic (you can easily spot and identify your protected item as well as any tampering of it far enough away to not be in danger), 5" long and 1/10" wide, and fit through the smallest holes. For indoor and outdoor uses, like fishing monofilament line, these Avery seals lasts for months - even years under right conditions. If 5" is too short, these seals can be daisy-chained to much longer lengths (i.e. connected end-to-end).

While these Avery safety seals / security seals are most commonly found on clothes, accessories and price tags because they are inexpensive, thin and about ideal length for these common types of jobs, they have practically endless other protective uses. Security seals / safety seals are not usually used to replace locks, but are often used in conjunction with locks to verify that the locks have not been picked (lockpicking tools / lockpicking kits are cheap and widely available Online, flea markets, elsewhere) or bypassed using an authorized or unauthorized duplicate key (e.g. stolen key, master key), and in cases where the lock keys/combinations must go with the person who the item is temporarily entrusted to (e.g. movers, drivers of trucks and trailers, airline baggage handlers, storage facilities, cargo handlers, emergency personnel), of whom locks alone offer no protection whatsoever. And one does not even need to steal a key or have access to a locksmith or key machine to make key duplicates - all one has to do is to make a key impression on a small piece of clay or bubble gum and then hand-file a blank key to match - any crook with access to your keys for even seconds can produce duplicate keys! And there are lists of combination lock combinations based on lock makes, models and serial numbers so even the most rugged combination lock is also not 100% trustworthy.

And some items which seals should protect come with locks so flimsy and easy to pick or bypass that these locks result in virtually zero security and safety (e.g. suitcases, brief cases, valises, purses, jewelry boxes, cash boxes, etc.). Because all locks can be opened with a duplicate key / combination and most can be picked open by even someone with rudimentary locksmith skills and locksmith tools, in reality, locks offer little real protection from experienced criminals making secret entries into "protected" areas or items. Locks in these situations provide only a costly false sense of security. The fact is NO MATTER HOW EXPENSIVE AND HIGH-QUALITY A LOCK IS, YOU CAN NEVER BE CERTAIN THAT THE LOCK WAS NOT COMPROMISED - UNLESS YOU USE IT WITH A SECURITY SEAL like these Avery Seals! Even if the criminal must cut, break or jimmy the lock (e.g. most padlocks) to gain entry, the lock serves then only as a very expensive seal.

In many jurisdictions, the unauthorized breaking of a security seal or safety seal is both a criminal offense and a tort, thereby giving you extra layers of legal protection than just locks by themselves (We are not an attorney so check for yourself for your jurisdiction). If the lock is picked or opened with a key/combination, it is much more difficult to prove that you have been pilfered from, contaminated or compromised. However, a broken seal or missing seal is very strong evidence of illegal entry - often a very good sign for you to call the police without endangering yourself or contaminating evidence.

One prudent security and safety practice is to use locks with/without seals on outer containers (e.g. truck, trailer, airline, cargo container) and then seals on one or more of the inner containers (e.g. you are moving, or you have a variety of cargo or baggage some of which is valuable). That way there, if the entrusted person must enter the outer container, your invaluable jewelry boxes, important papers boxes, tool boxes and collections boxes are still protected with seals.

For example, in one of my businesses where we do a lot of relatively expensive high-tech customized designs (Lone Star Consulting, Inc., lonestarconsultinginc.com), most of which we do not want the customer to get inside of because of high-voltage and sharp objects dangers, security or proprietary reasons, we use these protective seals to give notice to customers that they are not allowed inside the equipment.

More than one seal can be joined together end-to-end to make a larger diameter seal loop if that is needed, for example, to encircle equipment. Also, you can loop seals together to form a seal chain (i.e. seal daisy chain) so that the seals will secure the protected item to a more distant tie-down point, to connect up two or more protected items, or to seal large girth items where the needed seal length exceeds the length of one seal. You can also use the seals as sort of a "keychain" type device for keeping together and keeping track of like items. And of course the seals can also be used for many of the general uses that plastic tie-wraps are now used for (e.g. they are just the right size for bundling power cords and computer cords).

These seals have practically unlimited other uses, not all security or safety related. Some examples:

To identify and keep track of the location of things for inhouse uses, such as company tools, equipment, materials and supplies distributed to employees and contractors or out on site, and to quickly identify and keep track of your items in situations, for example, where there are multiple employees or contractors on one site.

(2) To group and identify individual, bundles or groups of wires, cables, electrical leads, ropes, ribbons, chains, rods, tubes, pipes, long metal/wood/plastic shop stock, etc.: Huge variety of uses of these seals as wire markers, cable markers, electrical lead markers, rope markers, ribbon markers, chain markers, rod markers, tube markers, pipe markers, shop stock markers. As described above, if the girth of the item or bundle is small, the seal can encircle it more than once, and if the girth is big, two or more seals can be daisy-chained together to encompass the item. With the unique seal numbers, you can then clearly document which item goes with which equipment, system or routing it must go with, so costly confusions and mix-ups are minimized and unauthorized substitutions can be detected.

(4) These seals are ideal in situations where for privacy or secrecy reasons you want to conceal the names of persons or items and yet still be able to uniquely identify them and keep track of them, for examples, for medical examination / medical testing, investigative, etc. reasons.

(6) These uniquely numbered seals are also a great means of conducting votes, contests, lotteries, door prizes and as use as uniquely numbered tickets to events and activities.

(7) One person bought some from us because they make, "cool bracelets," and that he would like to make them, "the rage of his school."

(8) These seals can also be used for many and varied arts, crafts and game purposes as they are bright red, attractive and unique in appearance. One person uses them in a horseshoe-like game as tossing hoops to go around pegs labeled with various values. Another uses a few each year as Christmas tree ornaments.

These Gorilla hooks are extremely strong, and are used to support and suspend a strong window ladder by hooking onto window sills, window ledges and window thresholds, or around a bar or other structure it can securely hold onto. The user can then use the ladder to safely descend to the ground to flee a burning or exploding building or dangerous intruder, which often can mean the difference between life and death. Can also be used to climb onto ships and boats, for going over walls and fences, to lift, suspend, tow or drag heavy objects, and to secure scaffolding and safety harnesses. We bought these Gorilla hooks shortly after 9/11 for a relative who then both worked and lived in multi-story buildings. We don't know how strong these Gorilla hooks are, our estimate is about 1,000 lbs per hook, which probably exceeds most window sills and window ledges, but should be able to support several people using the ladder at the same time. Each hook consists of 3 sandwiched metal plates securely riveted together (5 thick rivets), each metal plateabout 3/16" thick, with a 3-3/4" gap from the bottoms of both sides. This gap permits the secure insertion of a chain, Kevlar webbing or nylon webbing between outer plates, which can then be bolted on through the holes, to make a very secure assembly (does not include chain or Kevlar or nylon webbing; we sell Kevlar webbing separately). 9-1/2" wide x 7-3/4" long. Like new condition. We got this item from a shop that was closing. It appears to be a small muffler, 8.375" long, 1.75" diameter in the middle, with a 3/4"-wide threaded end (O.D.), 14-threads/inch. Ruggedly built. Other end is bent up slightly with an oval exit hole. My best guess is that it is bronze but we are not absolutely sure. Viewing through one end shows that path to other end is completely clear. Speaking loudly through one end results in highly muffled and attenuated sound coming out of other end. At first we thought that this was some kind of deluxo gun silencer, but the curved end would make it useless as a gun silencer. Asking around, we was told that it was probably a muffler for a small gas engine like a motorcycle, big lawnmower, skooter or similar, but nobody had a make or model in mind.

These thick, strong metal plates can be stacked as shown or back-to-back or face-to-face or used individually. Heavy, very hard, and apparently a 100% carbon composite cone form, apparently precision-machined and not cast. We can barely scratch it with a sharp X-Acto knife. Actual weight is 1.5 lbs and feels very solid. Base is 6.5" diameter, and it is about 3" tall. Undersided (not shown) is hollow in the cone area, about 2" deep to tip of cone, making the cone surface itself probably about 1" thick. Base "ring" is solid 1.25" wide all around and 1" tall. Material is an electrical insulator material and not magnetic. This is definitely some kind of industrial, scientific or laboratory type cone form. Can be used as a form for shaping, as some kind of mount or mold form, for scientific experiments and science fairs, to launch experimental rockets from, for various crafts, general shop uses, display uses, as part of a mold for casting, and as a cover of some type - many possible different uses. We collect weird scientific and electronic devices, and this is the first one of these we 've ever run into. Do you know what it is? These are new materials for making scabbards of many different kinds and types. Now, you can make your own scabbards for your edged devices, including for knives, swords, daggers, bayonets, sabers, samurais, machetes, other cutlery, and other tools, such as saw blades, files, picks, etc. Each set of these materials consists of one piece of hard plastic core scabbard material that is 21" long and will hold blades up to 1-1/4" wide and 1/8" thick, plus one 24" long piece of 1" diameter (1-5/8" flat width) soft plastic heatshrink tubing which you can cover the hard platic core material with if you wish (you can of course use the heat shrink for anything else you want to). The images show these scabbard materials with both a sword and a knife inserted for demonstration purposes to show you how these materials work. You can use these materials to make one or more scabbards by cutting them to your needed lengths. The heatshrink tubing is provided longer than the hard plastic so that by cutting it a little longer than your scabbard, it will conform to the top and/or bottom of the scabbard so there is no exposed scabbard top and/or bottom edge. The heatshrink tubing is shrunk using a heat gun, and it shrinks up to 1/2 its cross sectional size to conform to shapes, which in this case, to the hard plastic core material. The heat shrink tubing reduces only in cross sectional size - not in length. This sale is for one 21" piece of hard plastic core material plus one piece of 24" soft plastic heatshrink material (sword and knife not included).

These scabbard materials are durable materials that should last a very long time. They are very resistant to moisture, oils, salt spray and a wide variation of temperatures and humidity. Water, oils and dirt can only enter the scabbard through its top or bottom (if bottom is left open) - never soaking through either scabbard material itself. And both materials are very easily cleaned. The hard plastic is smooth to permit quick removal of the knife or sword from the scabbard, and for insertion back into it (if the blade does not fit too tightly). The blade can also be lubricated for even faster scabbard action. The hard plastic core material has less stiction to it than any other material We have ever seen used as a scabbard core material. Whether or not you survive a situation in which a knife or sword is required (e.g. being attacked by a feral animal) often depends upon how quickly you remove the knife or sword from its scabbard!

There are numerous scabbard, holder and other related uses of these materials. The most common use is as an inner scabbard form in which a crafts person then embellishes it with a leather, cloth or decorative outer finish. For example, a piece of leather with belt slots and a tie-down loop can be cemented to the back of the hard plastic core length you cut for your scabbard, after curing of cement, the heatshrink is slipped over the hard plastic core and leather, and then heat-shrunk to hold the leather even more securely, and then the outer layer of the heatshrink is covered with more leather, plastic or cloth.

These scabbard materials can also produce working scabbard that one can use to hold and position edged devices while doing additional shop work on them, for example, while adding a hilt or handle or painting, decorating, repairing or restoring the blade's hilt or handle. The hard plastic core material can also be used as a travel and field scabbard for your blades so that your blades are well-protected in your tool box, enroute and in the field (e.g. hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, climbing, spelunking, construction sites, etc.), while at the same time, you can separately store or pack the corresponding decorative scabbard that you use only for your display, sale, storage and other minimal handling situations in safe, clean and controlled environments. A knife or sword always displays and sells better if its original scabbard is in pristine condition. The scabbard you make can also be integrated with a gun holster, saddle, tool belt, boot, etc. You can also make scabbards for your tools, such as chisels and small bits, to keep them clean, dry and safe between jobs. And you can easily make scabbards for your kitchen knives as well, which will not only make them safer to handle but will also protect them from dust and germs floating around in the air eager to land on exposed surfaces, such a knife blades.

These materials make great temporary scabbards you can use to protect knife, sword and tool blades you find at gun shows, flea markets, garage sales and antique stores being sold without their original scabbards (and likely at bargain prices because they lack their scabbards). It sure beats walking around with an exposed blade or sharpened point, or putting it in your carry bag where it can cut or poke through. And if you sell knives, swords and tools with sharp edges or pointed tips, you no doubt have some that don't have scabbards, and even a temporary scabbard is much better than no scabbard at all. Like everything else, scabbards get lost, damaged and worn out, and leather (used to make most scabbards) rots away over the years and decades (especially when used in a rugged or outdoor environment), so many knives, swords and tools still in great shape (especially antiques) no longer have their scabbards, and without scabbards, they have lost much of their utility and value.

Working on these materials is pretty easy. The scabbard material should be slowly cut on a sturdy surface using a fine saw blade generally used for hard steels. The bottom end of the hard plastic core can be "V"-cut to make it conform more to the point end shapes of most knives and swords. You can close the tip of the pointed end with cement (some plastic cements work good with it), or close the pointed or flat end with a screw(s) or rivet(s) so loose tool blades don't fall through. We generally leave the bottom open to permit ventilation so that when outdoors in a humid environment, a little ventilation much reduces any condensation that might otherwise build up inside the scabbard due to high humidity conditions. The heatshrink tubing is shrunk to fit using a heat gun. Most hair dryers don't get hot enough. The heatshrink can also be shrunk using an open flame, radiated stove or oven heat or a large soldering iron. The important thing to remember when shrinking heatshrink tubing is to keep the item rotating and moving in the heat environment so that the heat is evenly distributed and uniformly shrinks the heatshrink as hot spots can cause warped shrinking and even melt the hard plastic core underneath. And then heat the heatshrink tubing just to the point that it shrinks to fit the form - once it has shrunk, remove the heat source.

Scabbards are not only very important in protecting the blade from being exposed to moisture, salts, oils, solvents, dirt, mechanical damage such as edge dulling/chipping and point breaking/blunting, etc., but also to protect those who can come in contact with the blade (especially children and animals), on purpose or accidentally, from getting cut or injured by the blade. Even if you are currently fully outfitted with scabbards for all of your blades, if you unexpectedly lose or damage a scabbard, you could be left with a dangerous exposed blade - it is a very good idea to have spare scabbard material readily available so that you can make yourself at least a temporary replacement scabbard in such situations.

These scabbard materials are antistatic and excellent thermal insulators and electrical insulators. And both scabbard materials are lightweight and durable. The hard plastic core material is transparent (while most are untinted, some come in tints like yellow, amber, blue - we can only send what we have available), so that you can handle and view the blade through the core material (as shown) while it is being protected by the hard plastic core from skin contact. Note that the hard plastic core material is rigid; therefore, if your knife, sword or bladed tool is curved beyond the 1-1/4" overall scabbard width, this scabbard material will not work with it. Also note that the standard size we usually get this material in is 21" long; however, we don't manufacture this material or cut it from longer stock but just get it as shown, so length may vary from about 20.5" to close to 24", and each each stick of the hard plastic core material has one or two small holes punched in the ends, which can be adapted for tie-down or other purpose. Note that this hard plastic core material was NOT manufactured originally for scabbard use but to store highly specialized steel and plastic industrial parts for periods of years to decades; however, it just so happens to also be an excellent scabbard core material which this additional application for it we invented (to the best of my knowledge and belief), and this is why we both use and sell it as scabbard material.

This Bonis sewing guide looks like it was used as a guide for strips of fabrics or ribbons. However, this tool can be adapted as a guide for just about any kind of other materials as well, such as rope, string, cable, webbing, rod, tubing, etc. This Bonis guide has 3 adjustments (see images): (1) Vertical adjustment of the pointed part. There are slight variations in them, for example, some are flared a bit at the top, and the center mounting hole varies in diameter between the types. Shafts are about 5/8" diameter at the top and taper to about 3/4" at the bottom. All are a hard plastic. We will randomly select 10 out of the bag. These spool forms are great for holding thread spools, yarn spools, rope spools, string spools, wire spools, light cable spools, light chain spools, etc. that will fit on them. Two can be easily joined together to form its own spool, or any one can be used as an open-ended spool. These also make great electrical insulators / electrical standoffs for high voltage and strung antenna applications, and as extra long handles or pull handles of the type used in arcade machines.
