You can use these double-edged blades to replace worn out or broken blades of an existing tool, as a DIY project, or as a tool collectible, blade collectible and/or IH collectible. As a DIY project, we take a wood hammer handle, notch it longer down the middle, drill two drill holes, insert the blade and bolt/cement blade into place. These steel IH blades are 3" wide, 3-1/4" long, 1/16" thick. Holes are 3/16" dia, 2-1/16" apart.

These IH blades have many possible uses: Great for cutting all kinds of stalk or fibrous plants (eg: weeds, tree branches, roots, hay, bamboo, cane, etc.) and other materials. Also great as a wedge. Also great as a personal protection weapon - ideal to parry many types of attack weapons, and to inflict serious damage if needed for self-defense. And as a throwing knife. Also great as cutlery blades for chopping, sawing, butchering and skinning foods and other materials.

NOTE 1: While the McKesson Medi-Pak Silent Knight Pill Crusher works great for crushing pills, it also can be used to crush or compress other things up to the hardness of pills (eg: nuts out of shell, grains/seeds, beans, spices, supplement ingredients, dried foods, some chemicals, etc.). With the McKesson Knight Pill Crusher we have in our kitchen, we also crush nuts (out of the shell) so that they are more chewable for one of our people with bad teeth, and for using nuts as ingredients or condiments for cereals, cakes, pies, cookies, breads, ice creams, salads, etc. While the McKesson Pill Crushing Tool will crack some nuts in the shell, we do not recommend the McKesson Pill Crusher as a nut cracker.

Depending on what we crush or compress, we find that plastic bags of 4 mils to 10 mils work fine. Rare and Versatile Frame Square Fillet Trim Cutter / Chopper / 90-Degree Notcher Corner Punch Tool. Except for yellow plastic handle cover, all parts are made of metal. Four 1/4" dia. holes allows for secure mounting to work table or work bench surface. Its handle provides excellent leverage, requiring less force for great cuts through tough materials. Steel blades can be easily removed to be sharpened or replaced as needed (they are very sharp right now, so be careful). Many versatile uses for the crafts person, picture framer, school uses, photography uses, scrapbookers, modelers, and general shop uses. Cuts soft woods, soft plastics, soft metals, leather, rubber, cardstock, paper, metal foils and similar materials, up to about 5/16" thick for full cut. For full cut, each side of this 90-degree punch tool is 1-3/8". Because the blades in their shown positions are steeply angled to make it much easier to cut through tough materials, if you need less than a full cut, then materials thicker than 5/16" thick can be cut (up to about 1-1/4" thick maximum for small cuts). New old stock (NOS). 8 ounces of Techzonics.com Roof Leak Stopper (RLS). Nothing is more frustrating and potentially very costly to deal with than roof leaks! This product was developed by us to stop small roof leaks on pitched roofs which use asphalt shingles. As asphalt shingle roofs age, small water leaks usually start appearing in areas that typically get more water or wind on them than the other 95+% of your roof (e.g. near the air conditioner, areas of higher wind). Many people wastefully get their entire roofs re-roofed when 95+% of it may still have months and even years left in them.

We have not yet tested this product on flat roofs, nor on roofs covered by materials other than asphalt shingles, where this product may or may not work well. On flat roofs, you may have to manually spread the RLS around the roof using a broom to get it to work into the leak holes and cracks. This product may also work on other types of leaks, including possibly repairing outside hose leaks, sewer pipe leaks, etc. However, do NOT use this product in conjunction with anything that may carry or provide water used for drinking, cooking, bathing, cleaning, or water for animals or plants.
          THEORY OF OPERATION: Our Roof Leak Stopper works similar to the way some car coolant system leak stoppers work; the ones that work by water flowing due to gravity into the leak hole or crack it can access, carrying small particles that then clog up the leak, thereby stopping the coolant leak, thereby saving you expensive repairs. With the RLS, you simply spread a line of the RLS particles onto your roof just above the suspected roof leak entry point. Then when it rains, the rain, pulled by gravity, washes the particles down into all of the small holes and cracks where water can enter, thereby clogging up leaks, thereby stopping the roof water leaks it can access, thereby saving you expensive repairs.
          HOW OUR RLS IS APPLIED: Our RLS is simple to apply. You locate the specific area on the roof where you think that the water may be leaking into the attic space and perhaps also dripping onto the ceiling. You then spread the Techzonics.com Roof Leak Stopper (RLS) in a line on the roof a few inches above the area of the suspected roof entry point. Then, when the next rain comes, it washes the RLS particles down the roof, thereby plugging up the leak holes and cracks - perhaps even many areas where there are smaller leaks or leaks just getting started that have not noticeably affected ceiling areas yet. NOTE: The best time to spread the RLS is within a day or so of an expected rain, but be sure a windy time is not expected to occur before the next rain (as wind can blow the RLS off the roof). The roof may be dry, damp or wet when you spread the RLS.
          WHAT IS IN THE TECHZONICS.COM RLS: The Techzonics.com RLS consists of a special blend of several lightweight metals. These metals are highly corrosive-resistant. Corrosion-resistance is critical, because when you apply the Techzonics.com RLS, you want it to last for years at least, and not corrode away within a short period of time. Another critical criteria of the metal particles is that they are of various sizes and shapes to be able to effectively clog various small leak hole and crack sizes and shapes. Another critical criteria is that these metals be lightweight, so they easily flow with flowing water. One of its alloys contains a small amount of nickel content, so it can be picked up by a strong magnet. There is no known lead or other heavy metals in this product. This product has no iron or steel particles, so it won't rust. We have done a lot of experiments here to find the optimum metals and metal combinations and proportions to do the optimum job of clogging roof leaks on pitched roofs, so our formulation is proprietary. If you are unsure about this product but want to try it out anyhow, then consider trying it out on a small leak limited to a small part of your roof, or on a less critical roof (e.g. shed roof, dog house roof). If that then gives you the confidence that this product works well for you, then of course consider expanding its use. Perhaps even freely telling your friends and family about it.
          CAUTION: Pitched roofs are always especially dangerous. Be very careful at all times on any roof, and when climbing up and down to and from higher surfaces. Highly pitched roofs are even more dangerous. Roofs are also more dangerous while wet or damp, with an incoming storm (lightning can even strike from a storm 20+ miles away), when there is wind, and/or if you are in bad healthy or are unsteady on your feet. If you are having electrical problems from electrical devices powered by wires going thru your attic, never go onto the roof, especially if the problems increase during precipitations and periods of high humidity. The user of this product assumes full responsibility for his/her own safety and the safety of those around him/her. If you lack the physical abilities to safely climb roofs, either don't buy this product, or consider hiring somebody to do the roof work himself/herself.

Basically, you place the material to be cut on a table, you draw a line on it that you want to cut along, then you roll the edge of the cutting wheel along your line to cut. Rotary cutting wheel knife is 3" dia. Maximum cutting depth is 3/8". Handle is wood, 5-1/4" long - well-insulated from the heat. No power rating.

CAUTION: This tool has a very sharp circular cutting edge. It also gets very hot - about as hot as a soldering iron. It needs these two features to be able to smoothly cut thru difficult materials at fairly fast rates. This is a very useful and versatile tool when properly used. This is a great tool for cutting and scoring parallel strips of plywood, other wood paneling, veneer, wallboard, plexiglass, cardboard, cardstock, soft woods, plastics, rubber, leather, some fabrics, etc. Cut range is 2" to 3" wide (cuts can be extended wider than 3" apart by modifying the cutter and/or by adding your own extension). 7" long, 4-1/4"high. Metal base appears to be aluminum and is non-magnetic. Blades have marked scales to set them to the exact lengths you need. If you are cutting or scoring off of an edge, just drop one blade a little lower, and use it as a guide against the edge.

Used and in very good condition. Rare Steel Globemaster Reel Tool, No. 62020, with unmarked spring steel tape (end has a spring with a brass ball at the end), 6" dia, 1/4" thick disk body. We are not sure what this device was primarily designed for. We believe that it is an Electrician's Cable Puller Tool also commonly known as a Leader Puller / Feeder Puller and Fish Tape, and what we used it for. But we were told by one person that it was used to measure the depths of lakes, rivers and wells, and of holes in the earth. And another told us that it was used as a Plumber's Snake to unplug stopped-up toilets, which seems like a reasonable use because sewer line tapes that don't have a ball at the end can severely scratch up toilet bowl porcelain. However, the spring has no rust or even discoloration on it, nor does it smell of anything that we can detect, indicating that if exposed to water, it was done seldom, or the water was clean water and the spring dried afterwards. This device could be adapted for other uses. If you know the actual intended use of this device, please freely let us know. In the 3rd image, reel is shown resting in a vise; the vise is not included but used for posing. This is both a great tool and a great tool collectible. Made in Japan. This Globemaster tool was made back in the day when Japan produced most of our imports, and Chinese imports were virtually unknown.

Kick-back popups are very dangerous, and commonly occur when a high-speed saw blade or cutter hits a knot, nail, embedded stone or other hard object or when the board is fed into the blade/cutter too fast, the blade then grabs the board and launches it backwards, usually towards the operator. If you have ever been hit in the face, neck or chest by a popped-up board, then you really know how critical anti-kick back devices are. Workers have been seriously injured and even killed by a kick-backed board, and such mishaps are often ultra-expensive to later deal with. These W-Type Welding Pliers works similar to the rare, expensive Dewitt Vise Grip 9AC locking welding pliers, except these W-pliers are better in several respects (e.g. much greater grip depth, smaller spaces between tynes, two tynes instead of one, better leverage, easier trigger release), in addition, performs many of the same functions as the popular "duckbill" Vise Grip locking sheet metal clamp (as well as being a great canvas stretcher pliers / carpet stretcher pliers) with much better leverage for many duckbill pliers uses. Great for the welding shop, sheet metal shop, paneling jobs, general shop, crafts shop, carpentry shop, paint shop, electronics shop. We have also even used W-pliers to attach leathers, naugahydes, plastics, rubber and fabrics together. And W-pliers is to bend, fold over and flatten sheet metal edges to make stronger edges much less likely to cut someone. And to bend sheet metal into angles, or to flatten out angled or distorted sheet metal. And to hold, place and position single sheet-type materials (eg. circuit boards) to work on, remove or install, or display. While we have not tried W-clamps to hold flat glass, with the tynes padded and gentler pressure, this tool works fine with plexiglass. If the glass is fairly thick, good quality, undamaged, the tynes on the W-clamp are covered with rubber, leather, naugahyde, fabric or soft plastic (e.g. heat shrink tubing), and gentle pressure is used, we believe the W-clamps would also likely work on flat glass, but experiment first on expendable glass. So versatile and useful, these W-Pliers are a must for YOU!

Versatile Butt-Welding Clamp Set Tool, 8 steel clamps (zinc plated to resist rust), also great for general Leveling Clamping uses for sheet metal, wood panels and boards, plastic panels, etc. - including all other flat parts, even if small, just as long as the mating edges are big enough for at least one clamp to fit. Each clamp body is about 1" x 1" x 1". These clamps maintain a minimum 0.04" gap between the panels - ideal gap for welds, brazes, solders and cements to best hold sheets, plates or panels together. Can be set up for gaps up to about 0.75" (3/4") maximum if you need wider gaps (e.g. for inserting other parts or materials into the gaps, or installing hinges or hasps), and you can vary gap widths along the seam between 0.04" and 0.75".

These clamps are great for holding together edge-to-edge and securing adjacent sheets, plates and panels of materials and parts 0.001" - 0.25" (1/4") thick for welding, brazing, soldering, cementing or taping. By changing the crossbars for a thinner ones, or by grinding down the crossbars in their middle, you can increase thickness of clamped materials up to about 3/8".

You can also use these clamps to join materials and parts together of different thicknesses simply by inserting a spacer(s) or shim(s) between the thinner item and the clamps to make it about same total thickness as is thicker item (spacers and shims are not included with this sale). You can also use these clamps to join different types of materials or parts together. And you can also use these clamps to permanently or temporarily hold single items or multiple things together for (later) disassembly, modification, moving, arranging, transportation and storage (e.g. partitions, displays, stage scenery, set-ups, experimental assemblies).

These butt-welding clamps are also great as flattening clamps to help you flatten small areas of thin sheet metal, plastic sheeting and cardstock that have bulges, depressions, wrinkles or tear-throughs in them, thus requiring minimum work with hammers and pliers to repair (which usually require disassembly, and tend to leave tool marks). If the area needing repairs does not already have a big enough tear, make a thin opening big enough for the clamp blade to go thru. The clamp body should be on the side with the raised area. Once the clamp(s) is installed, carefully and slowly tighten the clamp to flatten the raised area. Apply welding, brazing, soldering, cement or tape if needed. These clamps are very useful flattening tools for items which are damaged because they were shot, cut, stabbed, torn, folded, warped, or involved in a car or industrial accident.

FAST, EASY, SIMPLE TO USE:
      (1) Place and accurately align the two material edges adjacent to each other, leaving a gap of 0.04" - 0.75" between them (use a gap that best fits your needs, and gap can vary end-to-end within that range).
      (2) Open up the clamps you need using their thumbscrews. While loosening, remove the crossbars at the bottom, and place them in a safe place.
      (3) Space and center the clamp blocks over the middle of the gap, sliding the lower clamp blades into middle of gap.
      (4) On the underside of the work, slide the cross bars back in one at a time, then turn down the thumbscrew of each clamp to hold snugly but not tight.
      (5) Then adjust the two panels together to make sure that your alignment and gap are exactly what you need.
      (6) Then tighten down the thumb screws to hand tight; it is usually best to do the two end clamps first.
      (7) Then apply weld, braze, solder, cement or tape along the exposed part of gap, at least enough needed between the clamps to secure the two pieces together. Spot welding is typical welding method to secure steel pieces.
      (8) After the weld, braze, solder or cement has cured, loosen the thumb screws, remove the cross bars, slide out the clamps, then store the clamps and cross bars. Then weld, braze, solder, cement or tape the spaces left along the gap, and allow it to cure again before moving or using.

We find one particular use especially valuable to us: With this tool, you can much more easily and securely start and remove small screws - virtually eliminating dropping or losing small screws and other irreplaceable or costly small parts. To start a screw, you simply place the screw head between the blades. Then you position the screw over the screw hole using the tool. Then you use a small screw driver to turn the screw head between the top blade slot until the screw firmly catches, then slide the tool off the screw, then screw all the way down. To remove a small screw, you unscrew the screw until you can snugly slip the tool blades under and over the screw head. Then, with the screw now secured by the tool, you continue unscrewing through the top blades slot until screw is removed. You then securely deposit the removed screw.

Most commonly used in an aircraft applications with "hi-loc" bolts (allen holders used to to secure bottom of the bolt as you tighten down the nut). Body is made of hard plastic. Front end has a machined steel bit holder / mill holder / mandrel / chuck / collet which securely holds the 0.050" Allen bit using a hex set screw. Bit can be slid in and out (handle center is a hollow tube, open to the back, about 3/16" dia) so that the exposed business end can vary any length from all the way in to about 3-1/2" (much longer if you can allow some of the bit to extend beyond the back of the tool). This tool is not limited to Allen bits. It can also be used with small diameter drills, picks, awls, hooks, pokers, wires, etc. Also, with care, you can drill out the bit holder hole to any size up to 1/8+" dia. for larger bits. You can also feed in longer bits through the rear end, and use the tool handle as a rotating tool guide. 0.050" Allen set screws is a standard, common size used in electronics, popular for securing small knobs, as well as for other objects that use small Allen screws. Function is similar to pin vises, except that these drivers have a much more comfortable handle and you can use much longer bits than typical pin vises. Also, you can cap the tool's rear end with a plastic cap (not provided) to use the hollow center to store additional bits for multi-tool uses. These Allen drivers came off of an assembly line operation, which went out of business.

Rare, Vintage Wedgon No. 1 Wire Drawer / Wire Tightener / Wire Straightener / Wire Puller. This Wedgon Screw Machine Company wire tool is apparently primarily used for drawing wire. Wedgon wire tool has three holes for different wire gauges. The screw threads are in excellent condition. This wire tool's post looks like it will fit in about a 3/4" hardy hole on an anvil, and certainly in a strong vise. We clamped it in our large shop vise to test it. We ran some coiled copper wire (about 10 Gauge) through the smallest hole. It straightened it by gripping it with the toothed cam on the travelling jaw. Wire puller tool can also be used to attach a wire to an object external to the tool to pull or lift the object. Wedgon wiire tool can feed a virtually unlimited wire length by running the excess wire by the crank handle. The ratcheted crank handle leverage and the threaded movement act as force multipliers to pull wire with 100s of pounds of force if needed. The feed holes show some wear just where you would expect the wire to be pulled against the cast iron.The crank handle of this Wedgon tool ratchets and works very well. The end lever cuts the wire to length and worked fine on the copper test piece. This Wedgon wire drawing tool may be able to draw hot iron into wire but we are uncertain. Wire tool is marked "Wedgon Pat. Pend. No.1 Screw Mach. Prod. Co. Denver Colo.", and measures about 9 1/2" by 6 1/2". Made in USA. Clean condition as shown. We make strong elastic bands by obtaining cheap used bicycle tubes, then cut the tubes into bands of various widths (depending on applications). This elastic band expansion tool is ideal for expanding, placing and removing strong elastic bands such as our bicycle tube bands. This the ideal tool for elastic band uses - requires only one hand to expand the band while your other hand holds and positions the object - easy, fast and efficient elastic band installations. The bicycle bands, as opposed to cheezy store-bought rubber bands, typically last for years, have much greater tension (which can be selected by specifying tube type and elastic band width), and the bike tire bands tightly hold together bundles of many types of pipes, tubes, rods, cables, small tools (and tool accessories), etc. Also, temporarily secures work pieces together for setting screws, nails, cementing, etc. This versatile tool can also be use to quick and easily make air coils (e.g. to make inductors or to wrap wire, cable, string, thread, tubing, ribbon) up to about 4" in diameter - you simply slide onto each tyne a spool (not provided - empty thread spools work great), expand the spools out to the desired coil size, tape the tool handles so the expanded size stays fixed, wrap the coil, remove the tape, allow the tynes to close back in, and remove the coil from the spools. Used and in very good condition. Very useful and versatile Steel Handheld Power Drill Operated Jig Saw Adapter (make unknown) - a truly remarkable saw invention handtool. This hand held saw can be used with a power hand drill or standing drill press (saw adapter drill shaft is 1/4" dia) - easily converts virtually any drill into a saw. The fork on one end is great for use with a pipe guide or bar guide or stabilizer. The handle is great for blade guiding and for scroll work (Scroll Saw). What is especially nice about this hand tool, is that it will securely clamp down on a great variety of saw blades, knife blades, files, rasps and bits 1/8" or less thick at the shaft and at least about 3" long blades for cutting metals and woods. We found that practical maximum blade length is about 12" and blade width about 3" (use with especial care for large blades). The blade shown is a 3" piece of an old 1/2"-wide bandsaw metal saw blade. And blades can be mounted to cut in either the up motion or down motion.

This saw adapter can save you tons of money on replacement blade costs - simply (and carefully) snap off a relatively unused section of an otherwise worn out hacksaw, bandsaw or handsaw blade, and clamp it into this tool.

Blade can even be clamped on at an angle, for example, blade top tilted forward, so you can more easily make your starting cuts and for better cutting visibility. If the blade has a handle, in many cases we found you can insert the blade with the handle down (upside down - not a recommended practice, but we do it now and then), so you don't have to break off or remove the blade from the handle. When used in a standing drill press, this drill adapter can also be used to compress, pound, punch, file or sand objects if you obtain a fittable bit which will do that. Modified-base Craftsman Articulated Vise/Vice, Item #03311, Pana-like vise - great for crafts, watch repair, jewelry repair, and general uses. This is a very high-quality and highly versatile vise/vice. Opens to 3". Jaws are steel and are 2-3/4" wide, 5/8" high (height is 1-1/4" from rail tops to top of jaw, and you can buy vise jaw inserts to expand existing jaw sizes and/or to better cushion work). This crafts/hobby vise has BOTH horizontal and vertical "V" notches on BOTH jaws (most vises either don't have "V" notches, or only one notch, or notches on only one jaw). Opposing "V" notches much improve the gripping and holding of pipes, tubes, rods and other round or uniquely-shaped objects with minimal slipping, marring and/or distortion - great for crafts, modeling, jewelry and other precision work.           In our shops and labs, we work on electrically grounded steel plates (usually old iron biscuit/cookie/baking pans/sheets) on top of our wood shop and lab work surfaces. Galvanized steel plates/sheets and steel trays also work well. This magnetic base hobby vise also works great on pickup tailgates and other vehicles, appliances and other flat steel/iron surfaces on construction sites, in the field, trips, camping, etc. Steel/iron work surfaces not only protect your underlying surfaces, but allow for more vigorous shop work, are easier to clean than wood, and do not allowing static electric build ups when working with delicate electronics or metal or static-generating objects (if grounded). You can move and reposition this vise anywhere on the work surface, and remove if needed. To move the vise to a different work area, you can just simply pick up the steel/iron plate it is on and move them both together. If you need to remove the hobby vise but not its iron/steel plate, while its magnets highly resist sliding the vise on a steel or iron surface, to more easily remove vise, you just tilt up one side, and then the other sides. If you need even stronger magnetic anchoring, obtain and cement onto the hobby vise's bottom powerful Neodymium magnets (rare earth metal magnets), 1/8" thick is ideal. If you don't need high resistance to moving, then this hobby vise also works fine on other surfaces, including wood, plastic, aluminum, glass, hard rubber, formica, granite and marble (because the magnets are plastic matrix, damage risk to surfaces is small). On most non-steel/iron surfaces, there is still some resistance to sliding because the magnets' plastic matrix tends to resist sliding unless wet.
          Caution: Metal plates are not recommended for working with exposed AC line voltages or other high voltages because of risk of shock. While this vise itself will amazingly hang vertically on many flat steel/iron surfaces because its magnets are very strong (even hangs upside down!), do not use this vise to hold objects these ways as it may fall.
          STANDARD VISE BASES: Almost all new vises come with 3 types of bases, all of which are inferior to our magnetic base: (1) Clamped-On Vises: Disadvantages are that vise is limited to table, work bench or work desk edge, not easy to remove or move base, and they mar and indent surfaces. (2) Rubber-Based Suction Vises: Disadvantages are that they don't adhere to many surfaces unless they are very flat, smooth and clean (e.g. clean formica surface), the suction may often, suddenly or unexpectedly break, you have to wet the surface or rubber base for best attachment, and any damage or defect in the rubber base ruins its suction ability. (3) Vises with Flanges to Screw Onto Work Surfaces: Disadvantages are that you damage the mounting surface with screw holes, placement and removal requires much more time and effort, and you are virtually stuck with one vise base position. CONCLUSION: For most vise uses, magnetic-based vises are much superior in versatility and ease of use.

Rare, unusual, weird steel Cone-Nose Pliers Punch / Cone Jaw Pliers / Cone Pliers Punch, says Sears 30771. The cone is solid steel and professionally welded on. Great tool collectible / pliers collectible - if you are a pliers collector or punch collector and you don't have one of these, then clearly your pliers collection or punch collection is incomplete. Also, these cone-nosed pliers punch is very useful. Even if widely opened, the edge of top edge of the cone is accessible to a hammer. Functions include: (1) Pressing or tapping countersink holes into wood, plastic and soft metals. (2) Punching starter holes and widening existing holes into wood, plastics and soft metals. (3) Punching holes into cans and other containers. (4) Manipulating springs. (5) Sizing and expanding rings. (6) Opening chains and locks. (7) Swaging or shaping holes. (Sorry, we have recently sold this Adjustable Precision Thickness Gage, #2, we are trying to get more.) Used and in very good condition. Adjustable Precision Thickness Gauge and Thickness Tolerance Gauge Tool. This type of gauge is often referred to as a "Go - No Go Gauge". Great for measuring the thicknesses of sheet metal, plate metal, sheet plastic, sheet wood, glass sheet and other objects which can be fitted underneath its hard steel anvils. On the boiler plate (above, left of "2" on left image), I can only read "Whitney" on top line and "West" on line below it (likely Pratt & Whitney). We bought it in a lot of aircraft tools, so also likely this thickness gauge / thickness tolerance gauge is an aircraft gauge. Maximum measured thickness and maximum tolerance thickness are both 1/2", minimums are both 0". Height of each anvil is individually and independently set. This precision thickness tolerance gauge is 3" wide, 3-1/2" tall, 1/2" thick, made of steel. Most of the Pratt Whitney precision Go - No Go gauges of this type we have seen are very limited to measuring small thickness tolerances (e.g. 0.01"), and some are not even adjustable. And since this is a purely mechanical gauge, it never requires batteries, and you can keep it in your tool box with your thickness and tolerances solidly locked into place until you decide to change them. A great hand tool gauge for precision work, and also a great hand tool collectible gauge.
How this thickness gauge / thickness tolerance gauge works is easily and quick: In right image, note side screws just above the anvils (or plungers or pistons) and on top screws directly over the gap. The side screws, when tightened, lock anvil positions so you don't lose a setting. The top screws are used to make the anvils descend to the levels you want to. To measure thickness, you simply back off the top screws to the top of the tool as in right image. You then push up the anvils (side screws loose), same as left image. You then place the sheet, plate or stock underneath the anvils. You then screw down at least one top screw until its anvil gently rests on the top of the sheet, plate or stock. You then tighten its side screw. You then slide out the sheet, plate or stock, and use a caliper to measure the gap between anvil and anvil block beneath it, and that is your thickness. Gauge can also be transferred to someone else to use it with your setting, or stored if repeatedly needed to produce or verify the same results.
The real beauty of this gauge tool is its precision thickness tolerance gauge feature for sheets, plates and stock you buy or make - why it is called a Go - No Go Gauge. For example, you bought a steel plate, and you need to verify that its thickness and thickness tolerance. What you do is first determine what thickness and thickness tolerance are acceptable. For example, your steel plate must be 10mm �0.1mm (your plate must be between 9.9mm and 10.1mm thick). You lift both anvils all the way to the top as before. You then screw in the back top screw until its anvil lowers precisely to the 9.9mm height, as measured by a caliper, and then tighten its side screw to lock it in. You then repeat this process for the front anvil but setting it for 10.1mm. You then run the gauge along the edge of your steel plate along its length. If the plate won't pass under the front anvil, the plate is too thick. If the plate passes under both anvils, then the plate is too thin. If the steel plate passes under the front anvil but not under the back anvil, your steel plate is within both specified thickness and tolerance.

Adjustable with many versatile uses, but generally used to remove or make creases or dents in sheet metal and flexible plastic, more specifically usually used to remove dents and creases from dented car bodies. This crease handtool has a similar action to a pop rivet gun - when you pull on the handle, the bottom bit chuck (bit holder part) pulls up, and with a great mechanical advantage, to pull up whatever the bit is gripping onto. This crease tool is adjustable for the initial height of the bit chuck from the bottom for different lengths of bits and depths of creases. To use the Richco crease gun to remove a dent or crease, you screw or insert the end of the bit through a hole in the middle of the crease. You then insert the other end of the bit into the chuck and tighten it down. You then pull the handle to pull up the bit and with it the dent or crease up against the plexiglass, thereby flattening the crease or dent to remove it.
This Richco crease gun has many other pull-type uses, depending upon the bit used. For example, it can be used to pull a screw, rivet, pin, standoff or wire through a tight hole. It can be used to bend a stiff piece of wire or thin stock. Great for the autobody shops, crafters, modelers, fabrication shops, sheet metal shops.
This Richco crease gun functionally works great. A plexiglass plate is added to the tool base as shown (which is attached by 4 screws and is easily removed or replaced with some other type of plate or forming fixture of your make or just left off), which much adds to its utility. About 1/3rd of the knob head is broken off and missing (not shown), but does not affect function. This Richco crease gun is 7.5" long. We don't know anything about availability of bits, we made our own proprietary bits, which are not included (no bits are included).

Rare high-quality steel Adjustable-Head Claw Head Hammer. We recently bought this adjustable-head claw head hammer at an estate sale (a year earlier, we bought another one exactly like this adjustable hammer also at an estate sale where the wife of the deceased stated that hammer's owner was a tool inventor, which we sold Nov. 6 on eBay for $995), so this adjustable-head claw hammer may even be an invention prototype, manufacturer's approval sample, or a (very) limited issue tool (we do not know how many were made or are still available). With decades of experience of buying unusual tools, we have found only three adjustable head hammers, including this one, all of this same type, all found near Albuquerque, NM, and we own this one and the one we have in our tool collection.
UTILITY: The claw hammer's head is easily and quickly adjusted. You simply push in the long black lever, and then position the head to the desired angle (of 3 angles), then release the lever, leaving the head rigidly and securely at selected angle. This adjustable-head claw hammer has outstanding advantages over standard non-adjustable hammers. In its traditional "T" head position, the hammer has all the uses of normal claw head hammers of this general size, shape and weight. However, with the head pointed up of this adjustable hammer, you can reach 2+ inches higher, and it also great for working on vertical surfaces (e.g. walls and fences), slanted-up surfaces (e.g. roofs), for nailing near the edge of a surface you don't want to accidentally hit or score (e.g. high up on a wall near a ceiling), for difficult ceilings and overhead work, and for nailing nails angled towards you. With the head pointed down, hammering on slanted-down surfaces (e.g. roofs), difficult underside surfaces, and for nails angled away from you. First, these special very high quality Vigor Pliers jaws are line with a tough fiber (not cheezy nylon, plastic, rubber or wood), both jaws, so that you can still apply substantial gripping and holding force on objects you are working with while minimizing or avoiding scratching, marring, gouging, scarring, crushing or disfiguring them - the common tool marks left by steel pliers. (Sorry, we just sold this antique Perfection nut cracker.) Used and in very good condition. Rare, antique Perfection Nut Cracker, Model 1928, Patented 1914, Waco, Texas, modified to make a versatile, fast and easy-to-use vise. The T-handle is especially nice - comfortable and well-designed for hard clamping. Unlike almost all other nut crackers, this model has a threaded shaft and T-handle commonly found in vises and clamps to securely press against and hold objects. This Perfection nut cracker is modified with two large, thick knurled washers firmly epoxied to the clamp faces as shown. These added washers increase the clamping surfaces for firmer clamps. Also, the 1/2" dia. washer holes better clamp round and odd-shaped objects. This added feature not only improves the Perfection nut cracker's ability to position and crack nuts without slippage to enhance its inherent nut cracking utility, but is also great for many other uses, especially unusual clamping needs. Further, the head that is on the threaded bolt end floats to some extent (built-in feature) to better hold odd-shaped objects (such as nuts) of just about any kind, similar to how toolmaker vises (tool maker vises) work. High quality epoxy injector glue dispenser gun, which can be used for many other types of pressing, injecting, clamping and vise uses. For example, the center shaft of this epoxy glue cartridge gun can be used to hold an adjustable L-bracket (with a thumbscrew to clamp its position onto the shaft), which then converts this 3M Glue Gun into a very versatile adjustable, wide-opening, powerful vise or clamp, which opens and closes for various sizes of held objects (similar sliding action to a trombone). And having a flat surface for two adjoining pieces of sheet metal or plastic without a gap at the hinged side to install hinges requires using this device to indent one or both surfaces so when joined together there is both no significant gap or surface uneveness where professional appearance and precision are important. Simple and fast to use. You just simply securely insert the sheet metal or plastic edge into the crimper opening, and then use a hammer to force the crimp. New old stock (NOS). Metal Lathe Quick-Change Tool Post (QCTP). It is not stamped with its maker ID, or model or part number. This metal lathe QCTP also makes a great 3-piece Steel Specialized Clamp used to clamp onto perpendicular objects or edges. As a metal lathe QCTP, this precision tool bolts into the compound side of the metal lathe. Then individual tool bits are clamped in the removable holders. You then select one of the two mounting points and drop the holder into place, and lock it down. There is an adjustment to let you set each holder to bring each tool bit to center. Each of the two edge blocks (each has 3 screws) may be adjusted up or down by loosening a locking screw on the bottom left edge (left image) or top right edge (screws not shown), so the edge blocks can be independently adjusted up or down to fit even if seriously misaligned, uneven and/or different thickness parts. These edge blocks can also be removed. One edge block has a "V" groove machined along its inside middle, like many vises do, for gripping round tools, stock or other objects. This clamp or vise is very useful if, for example, you need to join two pieces of metal, wood or plastic at right angles to each other (even when they differ in thicknesses and/or alignment) to screw, cement, solder, braze or weld together, thus making this versatile clamp into a really nice alignment jig tool. And for using one edge block to secure onto the edge of a table or bench top and the other edge block to hold your work. The 3 holes and two top screws can also be used for other clamping, vise, holding, positioning, mounting or other purposes. And the edge blocks can be replaced by other structures which fit into their slots. And any of these pieces can be modified to serve other purposes or to expand or change its many uses.

Then, whenever you need to add shipping peanuts or other materials to a shipping box or bag, you simply place the open box/bag under the mouth of this great dispenser tool, squeeze the handles to the opening size you need to easily and efficiently dispense the amount of materials you need. Skin contact with and air dispersal of the dispensed materials are minimal, which many consider styrofoam materials to be chemically unsafe. And no longer do you have to frustratingly contend with packing peanuts sticking to your hands or clothes because of their static electricity or falling onto the floor.

This Item does not come with its original canvas bag, which is far too heavy and bulky for most practical uses (made of heavy duck canvas material). Most Mom & Pop type operations do fine with most any large, cheap commonly-available bag to hold the materials. Also, with used dispenser bags, you seldom know for sure all the materials that the bag once held. We heard of one case where a business bought a used shipping materials dispenser that had in its past been used to dispense real peanuts, the new operator had a severe peanut allergy, resulting in a tragic and very costly situation. Terrific find at an estate sale! Heir of owner of these unbelievable hammers/swages told us that his great grandfather, a blacksmith and wheelwright, used these hammers/swages to prepare and repair the wagons of Mormon Pilgrims on their way to Utah shortly after the Civil War. Since we do not know this person or his family, we have no way of knowing and cannot guarantee that his story is true - but if true, these hammers/swages have an incredible history to them!

Longest hammer/swage is almost 23" long (other two are about 15.5" and 15"). We can find no markings on the heads. But two hammers/swages have markings on their handles (the heir did not know if the handles or heads had ever been replaced). One handle has embossed on it, "PROP. OF BETH STEEL" ("BETH STEEL" is best we know (We are not an antique tool expert) an abbreviation for Bethlehem Steel, which built the Golden Gate Bridge), top handle section in 3rd image. Another handle (the long one) has embossed on it, "Prop. of Beth Steel Corp." on one side and "Buckeye", "HARTWELL GENUINE HICKORY", and "HARTWELL BROTHERS MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE" in green lettering on the other side, bottom two handle sections in 3rd image (apparent differences in handle widths and colorations in image are due to lighting and zoom effects, actual color of all handles is a dark brown). Both the hammer/swage heads and handles have seen much vigorous use, but are still very usable if you still wish to use these hammers/swages (much better in a collector's case).

Take a look at the incredible heads on these hammers/swages! On all of your years on this planet, have you seen heads exactly like these! we was told by the heir that the heads are concave like this to accommodate the shape of wagon wheel hubs, and to help shape wagon wheel axles.

Clearly, this is a very special collection of hammers/swages. Do NOT let them get away from you.

In excellent condition! This stunning and exciting find is a rare vintage crime scene investigation (CSI) rolling tape measure equipment primarily used to investigate serious traffic accidents and perpetrator trails. Very high quality construction and materials. Body is made of metal and is about 7.5"diameter. Rolatape label states that it is a Rolatape Model 200 (Santa Monica, Calif.). Has an accordion-type folding arm that extends to about 3 feet (image shows it next to an 18" ruler). The handle folds up neatly and stores into the provided leather case, permitting the crime scene investigator to easily carry it in his vehicle. Even includes the rare documentation on it! This cost $34.75 when bought new, circa 1950s. We bought it from a retired police officer.
