Used and in very good condition, minor surface rust and blemishes on some parts. Rare Live Center, 6" long, steel. Adjusting nut brings front end in and out. To remove shaft assembly, unscrew the knurled nut; there is a spring inside. Shaft is 1/4" dia. Stamped on both the nut and body under nut is, "R.A.E." This live center tool can be used with any chuck that fits 1/4" dia bits, and does not require a tapered chuck. You can't use more modern hitch "balls" because they are made flat at the top. Some surface rust, and threads need some cleaning, lube. This tool is so great for doing all kinds of shop, layout and measuring work that it should be in every toolbox! You can do straight lines (ruler, both English and metric), angles (protractor), center finder, circle divider, square, and drill point gauge. Closely resembles the legendary No. 16 General Hardware Mfg. Co., Inc., Multiuse Rule and Gauge (Gage). Main difference is that this multiuse rule and gauge has a knurled knob on it for adjusting the pressure of the arm, and for locking the arm, clearly an improvement.

Note that this tool is made in China. We very seldom buy Chinese power tools or manual tools which apply force or torque as we much prefer the apparently much stronger American-made tools. However, when it comes to gauges and measuring tools, the Chinese tools are also excellent, and usually very economical.

Used and in very good condition; some minor surface rust and scratches. Very versatile pair of Workholding Parallel Machinist Bar Assemblies, Steel Machinist Tools. Each bar assembly weighs about 10 lbs.

The steel bars are 20-1/2" long, 1-1/4" diameter, and grooved and drilled and tapped, see last image (the groove is most of the length of the bar). Each parallel bar comes with steel block on each end, and a screw-clamp as shown:
      (1) One of steel block types is 2" x 2" x 2", has a blind hole 1-1/4" dia. and 1-3/4" deep (at the bottom of the blind hole is a recess of about 1/2" in dia. and 1/8" deep. This block type has two hex set screws that not only screw into the two threaded holes of the block but also to the two threaded set screw holes in the bar.
      (2) Other steel block type is 2" x 2" x 2-1/2", with a 1-1/4" dia. through hole. This block type is not keyed to the groove, and can be freely both linearly slid along the length of the bar and also rotated around the bar along the length of the bar. The screw clamps are provided for two reasons, when securely clamped to the bar:
           (A) To secure these steel machinist blocks from sliding off and falling from the bar.
           (B) To position the steel sliding blocks where you want them along their bars; very useful for some applications, such as for clamping, work holding and guiding uses.

These Parallel Bar sets have so many important uses. For examples:
      (1) As standoffs for storing heavy objects off of floors and table / bench tops.

Used and in very good condition, minor surface stains. Bell-shaped solid steel Machinist Centering Tool, as shown, for the machine shop or general shop use. Make and part number are unknown. While this machinists tool also appears to be a screw jack tool (screwjack, screw lifter, screw leveler, screw positioner), and certainly operates very similarly and can be used as one, its original function was probably a centering tool for cylindrical or round stock of metal, wood or plastic. Has a small ball (3/8" dia.) at the top, which can be used with a socket or round clamp for holding another tool, lamp, camera, small container, clamp, work table, posing table or display table. Body is 2-1/2" tall. Inside tapers from 1-3/8" at mouth to 1", then near bottom, it tapers again from 1" to 1/2". Screw shaft is 1/2" dia., with 1/8" center hole about 1/4" deep. Thickness of bottom wall steel is 1/4" for greater stability and weight-bearing capability. Turning handle is 3-1/8" long, 1/8" dia.

Used and in very good condition, some use wear and some with engraved IDs. Very useful and versatile 0.050" Allen Wrenches / Allen Bit Drivers / Allen Holders Tools, 4" long, many other uses. Most commonly used in an aircraft applications with "hi-loc" bolts (allen holders used to to secure bottom of the bolt as you tighten down the nut). Body is made of hard plastic. Front end has a machined steel bit holder / mill holder / mandrel / chuck / collet which securely holds the 0.050" Allen bit using a hex set screw. Bit can be slid in and out (handle center is a hollow tube, open to the back, about 3/16" dia) so that the exposed business end can vary any length from all the way in to about 3-1/2" (much longer if you can allow some of the bit to extend beyond the back of the tool). This tool is not limited to Allen bits. It can also be used with small diameter drills, picks, awls, hooks, pokers, wires, etc. Also, with care, you can drill out the bit holder hole to any size up to 1/8+" dia. for larger bits. You can also feed in longer bits through the rear end, and use the tool handle as a rotating tool guide. 0.050" Allen set screws is a standard, common size used in electronics, popular for securing small knobs, as well as for other objects that use small Allen screws. Function is similar to pin vises, except that these drivers have a much more comfortable handle and you can use much longer bits than typical pin vises. Also, you can cap the tool's rear end with a plastic cap (not provided) to use the hollow center to store additional bits for multi-tool uses. These Allen drivers came off of an assembly line operation, which went out of business.

These knock-off rings are normally used to separate rings or pipes press-fitted, heat-fitted or corroded together. You slip the knock-off ring onto the smaller diameter pipe or rod to where the connection is made, and then you hammer the knock-off ring until the two stuck parts separate. This is the least risky or damaging way we know of to separate round objects stuck together. Great for plumbers, HVAC, and mechanics.

(Sorry, we have recently sold this Adjustable Precision Thickness Gage, #2, we are trying to get more.) Used and in very good condition. Adjustable Precision Thickness Gauge and Thickness Tolerance Gauge Tool. This type of gauge is often referred to as a "Go - No Go Gauge". Great for measuring the thicknesses of sheet metal, plate metal, sheet plastic, sheet wood, glass sheet and other objects which can be fitted underneath its hard steel anvils. On the boiler plate (above, left of "2" on left image), I can only read "Whitney" on top line and "West" on line below it (likely Pratt & Whitney). We bought it in a lot of aircraft tools, so also likely this thickness gauge / thickness tolerance gauge is an aircraft gauge. Maximum measured thickness and maximum tolerance thickness are both 1/2", minimums are both 0". Height of each anvil is individually and independently set. This precision thickness tolerance gauge is 3" wide, 3-1/2" tall, 1/2" thick, made of steel. Most of the Pratt Whitney precision Go - No Go gauges of this type we have seen are very limited to measuring small thickness tolerances (e.g. 0.01"), and some are not even adjustable. And since this is a purely mechanical gauge, it never requires batteries, and you can keep it in your tool box with your thickness and tolerances solidly locked into place until you decide to change them. A great hand tool gauge for precision work, and also a great hand tool collectible gauge.
How this thickness gauge / thickness tolerance gauge works is easily and quick: In right image, note side screws just above the anvils (or plungers or pistons) and on top screws directly over the gap. The side screws, when tightened, lock anvil positions so you don't lose a setting. The top screws are used to make the anvils descend to the levels you want to. To measure thickness, you simply back off the top screws to the top of the tool as in right image. You then push up the anvils (side screws loose), same as left image. You then place the sheet, plate or stock underneath the anvils. You then screw down at least one top screw until its anvil gently rests on the top of the sheet, plate or stock. You then tighten its side screw. You then slide out the sheet, plate or stock, and use a caliper to measure the gap between anvil and anvil block beneath it, and that is your thickness. Gauge can also be transferred to someone else to use it with your setting, or stored if repeatedly needed to produce or verify the same results.
The real beauty of this gauge tool is its precision thickness tolerance gauge feature for sheets, plates and stock you buy or make - why it is called a Go - No Go Gauge. For example, you bought a steel plate, and you need to verify that its thickness and thickness tolerance. What you do is first determine what thickness and thickness tolerance are acceptable. For example, your steel plate must be 10mm �0.1mm (your plate must be between 9.9mm and 10.1mm thick). You lift both anvils all the way to the top as before. You then screw in the back top screw until its anvil lowers precisely to the 9.9mm height, as measured by a caliper, and then tighten its side screw to lock it in. You then repeat this process for the front anvil but setting it for 10.1mm. You then run the gauge along the edge of your steel plate along its length. If the plate won't pass under the front anvil, the plate is too thick. If the plate passes under both anvils, then the plate is too thin. If the steel plate passes under the front anvil but not under the back anvil, your steel plate is within both specified thickness and tolerance.

Used and in very good condition. Heavy Duty X-Punch / Crimping Punch Tool, unknown make. This rare and unusual, yet very versatile and useful, punch is used to mark a spot on a pipe, tube, shaft, rod, cable and bar stock or other object for later drilling, machining, cutting, grinding, measuring, etc. 3-3/4" tall, it opens up to 1". Spring-loaded, the extension on the side lifts the shaft up, the stock is then inserted into the open V-notch, positioned to where the "X" or "+" marking is intended, and you release the extension to drop the shaft onto the stock, which should then hold the stock firmly in place exactly where you want it. You then hit the top of the 3/4" x 3/4" shaft with a hammer or swage to emboss the "X" or "+" into the stock. You then raise the shaft again and remove the marked stock. Also great for securely staking or crimping on lugs onto cables, up to as thick and heavy as welding cables and power cables. While originally designed for medical doctors to break open orthopedic casts, this tool has incredible versatility for opening all kinds of difficult enclosures, cases, boxes, structures and molds, and separating other items stuck tightly together. Versatile chrome-plated stainless steel orthopedic cast breaking OEC 178 Cast Splitter Tool is an incredible ultra-high leverage expansion tool, separator tool and spreader tool which easily opens even the tightest clamshell enclosures. While originally designed for medical doctors to break open orthopedic casts, this tool has incredible versatility for opening all kinds of difficult enclosures, cases, boxes, structures and molds, and separating other items stuck tightly together. Many computers, televisions, computer monitors, printers, radios, other computer peripherals, electronic equipment, and panels have clamshell or tight-fitting enclosures which are often difficult - if not nearly impossible - to open without a tool like this. Bought at an estate sale. This is a versatile multiple-use pliers complete with a built-in punch / connector crimper, wide cutters, and wire stripper, as well as its powerful normal gripping function. While in like-new conditions, both the upper and lower cutter blades are replaceable. These Dielectric parallel jaw pliers are 8-1/2" long, husky, and industrial grade - built for those really tough jobs. The really nice thing about parallel jaw pliers is that the jaws close evenly on the gripped object, as opposed to the "V" jaw openings of standard pliers, which interferes with gripping ability because gripped objects tend to slip out of the "V" grip (especially nuts). Also, because the jaws are square and parallel to each other, you can use these parallel pliers jaws as a line spacing tool and as a small square, and even (forbid) as a light-work hammer. These are truly rare - as well as extremely useful - after months of looking on eBay and Amazon.com, I could find no other pliers like this one.

These high-quality Vise-Grips have four factory modifications, three welded-on: (1) Upper round jaw, (2) Lower round jaw, (3) Special underneath front grip extension, and (4) Drilled-through 1/4" diameter hole. The two round jaws are 1/8"-thick, 1" long hard brass, with an oval opening (when Vise-Grips are closed) of about 3/4"-wide and 1/2"-high. Ideally designed to clamp onto round pipe, tubing, conduit, hose, cable, wire bundles, rod and other round stock and other objects which are 1/2"-3/4" in outer diameter, but will also securely clamp onto flat surfaces, oval objects, odd-shaped objects and irregular objects and other objects as well. One can add onto and/or modify the jaws for many other possible uses as well. Works great. We can't find a stamp on who made it. It is large, heavy-duty, industrial grade tool, robust, 16" long with a 2" wide chuck (Jacobs 34B, "5/8"), 6 lbs. Crank wheel is 6" diameter and solid. Crank handle is 4.5" from center. Great for old-fashioned crafts and wood projects, field use, camping use, survival situations, and other situations where you don't have ready electric power.

CHUCK SEPARATES One of the nicest things about this drill is that the chuck can be removed in two ways for it to be used in separate operations or for more compact storage. The drill shaft (about 1/2" dia) screws into the chuck at the top of its back through a fitting at its end (about 5/8" dia threads). In addition, the drill shaft is secured to the small gear with a through steel pin (about 1/8" dia.) located just below the gear, and if you were to punch out this pin, you could slide the shaft free of both the small gear and the drill housing in between, leaving you with the complete chuck/shaft assembly, which you could then directly insert its shaft into a drill press or any handheld drill that will accept a 1/2" shaft. Then if you wanted to reassemble them, you could do so by re-installing the shaft and pin.

Appears to be new. This is a very rare, yet very useful and versatile pulling tool - Gear Puller / Pully Puller Tool. We do not know its formal name or original functions. It appears to be a very high quality tool. How it works is that there is an oval 1/4" wide x 1/2" long slot in the silvery front plate of the tool, which lines up with a 3/8" wide and 1/2" long oval slot in the top front "barrel" of the tool. There is a hollow piston inside of the hollow barrel, which has a corresponding slot in its front plate. When this piston is fully forward, the piston front slot rests against the back of the front plate slot, which exposes the piston's hollow opening behind its front slot through the barrel's top slot. By repeatedly compressing the big blue handles, this piston is ratcheted backwards against spring pressure from a compression spring behind the piston, thereby increasingly separating the two front slots. Maximum rearward piston travel is 1". The small silver handle in front releases the piston to make it spring all the way forward again to repeat the process. The head of a bolt or nail, for examples, is inserted from above behind the two front slots with the piston all the way forward. The extractor's front plate is pressed against the object where the pin is inserted, the blue handles are steadily and repeatedly pulled, usually smoothly and quickly drawning out the pin from its hole. This tool can be similarly used to remove nails with heads greater than about 1/4" wide and shafts equal to or less than about 1/4", and small gears, pullies and wheels from their shafts or axles. This same mechanism can be used to compress a spring on a shaft. The slotted front plate is attached by screws, and can be removed and replaced by some other front plate you make for other types of jobs you may need it for.

This is a new very heavy duty grip chain that looks like motorcycle drive chain but much heavier and shorter. This Mechanics Tool has a hook at one end that connects to a threaded and adjustable long nut to tighten or loosen the chain's grip. We have no idea what it is designed to do. Do you? It looks like to us that it is designed to grip a 1-1/2" dia. pipe or bit for perhaps some kind of drilling or coreing operation, or to act as a stop for a pipe or bit from slipping or not going any deeper than intended.

Used and in great condition. While it looks unused, the paint is chipped in a couple of places. We don't know exactly what this tool does or its make or model. It has an adjustable and pointed and sharp cutting head. It also has a crank at the end for turning the cutting head (see top of second image for image of black ball at the end of the crank). And it has a squeeze handle that pulls back the cutting head, which looks like a canopener type cutting head. The cutting head looks like it is plunged into a container top, the crank is then turned to cut out a circle which diameter is determined by the cutting head setting, and once the circle is cut out, the handle is squeezed to pull off or extract the cutoff circle away from the container. It looks like the kind of tool used for some commercial or industrial use. The flange near the front has a 5/16" hole probably used to bolt the tool down on back or side ende of a work bench. Corp, of Applied Power Industries, Inc. Originally for Chrysler Cars. Steel tine grips are 3" long each, and open at equal rates on each side (i.e. stays centered) from 1-3/8" wide to 5" wide apart. Push down by compressing long spring up to 1-7/8". Tine mechanism can be rotated thru a full 360 degrees. Tool body is 14" long. Most of body (red aluminum part) is 9/16" wide and 1/2" thick. At left end of red part is a 7/8" long 5/16" wide slot, followed by a 1/2" long, 5/16" wide flat area, likely used to lock that end in. At the right end is a 5/16" dia. thru hole with a 1/4" set screw, likely used to hold tool onto a rod, shaft or bolt.

This vise/clamp tool is a great collectible. It is also so versatile that it can be used for numerous other uses not limited to Chrysler cars, for examples, to grip, pull, install, raise and carry gears, pulleys and other objects and parts of many different types, materials, widths and thicknesses. Its lever action is especially useful for difficult pulls and heavier loads. Drilled holes are 1/4" diameter, and in a critically important radial pattern from the center, with a center hole. Extremely versatile tool adaptable to many uses. Will hold objects of many different sizes and shapes in a suspended fashion, up to about 50 pounds (depending on weight distribution and the sturdiness of your clamp system). Normally used single-sided, it can also be used double-sided.
          DISPLAYING USES: The big problems with setting displayed or worked-on items directly onto surfaces (e.g. work bench, desk, table, shelf, counter, stand, podium, pedestal tops) is that the bottom of the object is shadowed or hidden from view and photography (resulting in cheezy displays and images), object weight may damage the object or the plate, the plate surface is likely to be scratched from object movement against it, and water, oil, dust or dirt on the plate's surface may contaminate and damage the object and impede cleaning of the plate and object's bottom. HOW WE MADE OUR "T" CLAMPS (these clamp parts are not included):
   (1) For the six "T" clamps shown, we bought 15 standoff nuts, 1/4"-20; three-foot piece of 1/4"-20 threaded rod (or six 1/4"-20 bolts, 3" long); 12 large washers; six screws (1/4"-20, 2"-long, not shown, used to secure the clamp to the block plate); and had in stock the six knurled knobs as shown (in their place, consider just using 1/4" bolts and perhaps threading on an extra nut to the head, or consider using six large necklace beads with holes, and cementing them onto the rod piece ends).
   (2) We cut three of the stand-off nuts in half, and six 3"-long pieces of the threaded rod (or use 1/4" bolts).
   (3) We soldered the half nut pieces to the full stand-off nuts as "T"s as shown (you can also cement, braze or weld them together).
   (4) We sharpened one end of each of the 3"-long rod sections (again, you can fit the end with plastic or rubber cups if you wish, or leave the ends unground).
   (5) We assembled as shown. Note that the bottom of the pan is recessed about 1/2", which means that your bolt heads won't likely rest against your table tops.

This vise is a big heavy duty industrial grade two-piece work holding Milling Machine Vise, likely used in factories, machine shops, welding shops, forges and auto shops to clamp heavy metal objects, likely steel plates and steel beams. We bought this vise as part of a large machine shop tool lot. While we use many vises in our shops and labs and collect rare and unusual vises (up to about 15 lbs, so if you have any collectible vises to sell, please email us), this vise is out of our league, so we are selling it.

One big advantage of this heavy-duty versatile 2-piece vise is that you can place the two jaws at any distance from each other from flush to each other to more than a dozen feet apart, depending on the work you want to hold. Just bolt the two parts to whatever surface you want it to be on. And change its position as your needs for it changes.

The vise clamping part is 8-1/4" deep when opened as shown, with two bolt mounting slots, each 3/4" wide, 2-1/8" long. The clamping part opens 1/2" maximum, limited by the length of the two 1/2" dia. steel guide bolts. With the guide bolts replaced by longer guide bolts, max opening is likely much greater than 1/2" (we do not know and have not tested what the max opening is with other guide bolts or no guide bolts). The steel cylinder in the middle that pushes this jaw is a relatively massive 2-1/8" dia. We believe that this vise can clamp objects with several tons of force, if required. The drive end of the worm screw bolt is 1/2" square. The jaw action is so clean and smooth that we can turn the worm screw with just our fingers. Above and in front of the drive end is a grease fitting. The clamping part's jaw is 8" x 3-1/4" x 7/16" thick steel, smooth, bolted on by two countersunk screws. Weight is 27+ lbs.

The vise receiving part is 5" deep, with two bolt mounting slots, each 3/4" wide, 2-1/8" long. The receiving part's jaw is 8" x 3-1/4" x 7/16" thick steel, smooth, bolted on by two countersunk screws. Weight is 14-1/2 lbs.

LIMITED QUANTITY. We have only one of these left to sell. This is the only vise of this type we have ever run into. Once sold, it is gone forever.

With the valve stem in place, you can play around with this fascinating yet very useful and versatile tool to learn how it works, and its various adjustments. Makes a great self-learning tool and teaching tool. You can use locking pliers or a low-speed drill (neither is included) to turn the held object. The clamp is set so that the object is held into position snugly but turns with little resistance (we use oil or grease on the clamp). Note that the position and angle of the chamfer groove, bevel or taper can be adjusted by changing the position of the cutter tool holder. You are not limited to valve stems - any piece of metal, wood or plastic round stock or object that will fit into this tool can be uniformly and accurately beveled, tapered or chamfered at its end to the angle and depth you want to and can set the cutter tool holder. You can even invent your own type of cutter tool holder to even more greatly increase its versatility. This 3V-1A Valve Stem Seat Cutter comes with two 1/4" countersunk mounting holes for sturdy mounting onto a bench top or desktop. Essentially, this tool can be made into a miniature lathe. New, hard copy or eBook. V-Blocks are invaluable tools, mostly used by mechanics and machinists, but with many other great uses. Most V-Blocks are made to securely hold round pipes, tubes, rods, hoses, cables, and other round stock or parts to be drilled, cut, ground, milled, punched, reamed, polished, welded, brazed, soldered, sculptured, painted, decorated, etc. so that these operations can be done very steadily and precisely. Doing these same operations by dangling the stock or other object off of the end of a vise or clamp generally leads to much cruder results as the worked-on object will likely vibrate or bend some and more likely even slip or be marred while being worked on. V-Blocks are not limited to holding and securing round objects. Square and rectangular stock and other objects can also be used, depending on the intended operation. And odd-shaped objects can be used as well - just as long as they fit and are secured onto the V-Block. We have even used V-Blocks to mount small motors. While securing stock and other objects for machining operations is the most common uses of V-Blocks, V-Blocks have many other practical uses, for examples, for displays of collectibles or items for sale, holding ice cores and rock cores, working on fossils, rocks and minerals, holding sports equipment (e.g. baseball bats, fishing rods), holding motors and generators, for storage containers, for book and magazine holders, for holding, positioning and guiding sliding or rotating rods, pipes, tubes, hoses, cables, shafts and tools, and as troughs. And a V-Block inverted-mounted on top of another V-Block to form a square tube can serve as a sturdy container, guide or bushing.
Commercial V-Blocks are milled out of hard steel using ultra costly milling machines, are considered to be precision tools, don't come in many variations, and are very costly (not good in these harder economic times). Custom making your own V-Blocks is a great idea because you can make V-Blocks which best suit YOUR particular V-Block needs. This manual describes fast, easy and cheap methods to fabricate V-Blocks (also referred to as "Vee Blocks"), as well as W-Blocks (also referred to as "Wee Blocks") and X-Blocks, which do NOT require a milling machine. The only material cutting tool required is one which will cut the materials you choose for your V-Blocks, usually a bandsaw or hacksaw. Both W-Blocks and X-Blocks are essentially multiple V-Bocks, all being collectively referred to as V-Blocks, so our same methods easily apply to W-Blocks and X-Blocks as well (a W-Block is a V-Block with two "V" notches on at least one side, a X-Block is a 4-sided V-block with a "X" cross-section). And don't sweat trying to buy V-Block clamps - our manual describes 3 other common tool types which are usually much cheaper and commonly available than commercial V-Block clamps for both your custom made and store-bought V-Blocks. While V-Blocks are almost always made of iron or aluminum (or some alloy of either), our methods do not limit possible materials to iron and aluminum and alloys of either; in fact V-Blocks can also be made from brass, copper, nickel, bronze, plastic, wood, cardboard, compressed paper, ceramic, etc. using our methods described in this manual. The "tongue" at the bottom is moved up and down by sliding the piece on the back, based on the depth of the tire tread. You then read in the front the small range of percentages of tire tread wear. There are 6 gauge windows in the front, which appear to be related to the tread depth of the tire type when it was new. Have you ever argued with somebody about how much tire tread you have used or is left? Go to 10 auto mechanics, and you will likely get at least 4 opinions, often depending on whether or not the automechanic wants to sell you tires. Especially useful if you own several cars, trucks, motorcycles and bicycles. And for keeping track of your tires over their lifetimes, and for when the tires need to be rotated, and for unusual or alarming tire wear patterns. ISKENDERIAN GROOV-MATIC "0" Ring Tool is a tool designed and manufactured by Iskenderian (Isky) to cut a groove around the vehicle's cylinder (full-size cylinder bores). After cutting the the groove, copper wire is inserted so that.010 of the wire is above the plane of the block. This raised portion of wire has the purpose to increase the pressure on the head gasket around the cylinder which prevents pressure leaks when supercharging the engine. Generally used on racing cars. Base is 3-11/16" dia. Can be adapted for other possible uses. These are apparently normally priced at about $1,300.

Rare, Vintage Vigor Pliers Parallel Pliers Tool, with Fiber-Lined Jaws - great for Jewelry, Gems, Eyeglass Frames, Dental, Clocks, Watches, Craft, Model Making, Fossils, anything else that just can't damage due to bare metal contact. First, these special very high quality Vigor Pliers jaws are line with a tough fiber (not cheezy nylon, plastic, rubber or wood), both jaws, so that you can still apply substantial gripping and holding force on objects you are working with while minimizing or avoiding scratching, marring, gouging, scarring, crushing or disfiguring them - the common tool marks left by steel pliers. Second, the jaws are parallel, which means that the jaws close down on objects evenly, and not at an angle that varies as the jaws close (most pliers), thus further minimizing slippage, crushing or disfiguring problems. The fiber also electrically insulates and thermally insulates the tool from the object, thus resulting in less heat, shock and sparking problems which are common to steel pliers. Used and in very good condition. This antique tool was originally made as a Valve Stem Seat Cutter, Model 3V-1A (make unknown). It is also a very Versatile Steel Vise / Clamp Tool Holder / File Holder / Rod Holder / Tube Holder / Pipe Holder / Shaft Holder Jig Handtool. Body is 4" x 2-3/4" x 1-3/4". The main clamp bar is grooved, and the two "fingers" it contacts with have deep "V" notches - great for holding pipes, tubes, rods, stems, shafts 3/16" - 5/8" dia, and also odd-shaped objects. The diagonal square clamp feature is for holding a tool, likely a file, or chisel or other cutting tool; this square clamp can be removed (and replaced with any tool or tool holder that you can get to fit) or its angle changed (from about 25 degrees to 90+ degrees, has position markings for 30 degrees and 45 degrees); and it comes clamping a small hard steel lightly magnetized cutting edge. The screw on the left is about centered on a clamped object if object is 1/4" - 1/2" dia., and can be precisely advanced or retracted to adjust held object position.

Our unique and important uses of it are:
(1) Press-fitting a cap or top onto or a pin into a pipe, tube, rod or shaft object securely clamped down by main clamp.
(2) As a mini-lathe. This is done by securing a cutting tool at the right angle (using the diagonal square clamp), and then lightly securing the pipe, tube, rod or shaft object in the main clamp where it will still fairly freely rotate, then attaching a hand vise or power drill to the right end of the object, turning the hand vise or drill On while pushing the object's left end onto the secured file / chisel / other cutting tool, or against the left screw.

Other Possible (untested) Uses of this jig:
          (1) Chisel sharpener.
          (2) Drill bit sharpener.
          (3) Bolt threading or rethreading.
          (4) Pipe diameter expander / tube expander.
          (5) Cementing, soldering or brazing rods, tubes or other objects coming together at various angles.

The two countersunk screw holes are for bench top or desk top mounting. This vise/clamp tool is great for most shops; especially useful for crafts, modeling and vehicles. If you collect vintage and antique tools, this great Made-in-America tool collectible is one of the first valve cutting tools. If you need to use it, it is portable, easily carried and easily used. (Sorry, we just sold this Richco Crease Gun Tool; we are trying to get more of them in.) Used and in very good condition. Rare Crease Gun (no - not Grease Gun - this is a Crease Gun). Rugged, heavy-duty. Adjustable with many versatile uses, but generally used to remove or make creases or dents in sheet metal and flexible plastic, more specifically usually used to remove dents and creases from dented car bodies. This crease handtool has a similar action to a pop rivet gun - when you pull on the handle, the bottom bit chuck (bit holder part) pulls up, and with a great mechanical advantage, to pull up whatever the bit is gripping onto. This crease tool is adjustable for the initial height of the bit chuck from the bottom for different lengths of bits and depths of creases. To use the Richco crease gun to remove a dent or crease, you screw or insert the end of the bit through a hole in the middle of the crease. You then insert the other end of the bit into the chuck and tighten it down. You then pull the handle to pull up the bit and with it the dent or crease up against the plexiglass, thereby flattening the crease or dent to remove it.

This Richco crease gun has many other pull-type uses, depending upon the bit used. For example, it can be used to pull a screw, rivet, pin, standoff or wire through a tight hole. It can be used to bend a stiff piece of wire or thin stock. Great for the autobody shops, crafters, modelers, and fabrication shops.
This Richco crease gun functionally works great. A plexiglass plate is added to the tool base as shown (which is attached by 4 screws and is easily removed or replaced with some other type of plate or forming fixture of your make or just left off), which much adds to its utility. About 1/3rd of the knob head is broken off and missing (not shown), but does not affect function. This Richco crease gun is 7.5" long. We don't know anything about availability of bits, we made our own proprietary bits, which are not included (no bits are included).

Used and in very good condition. Rare steel K-D Tire Width Caliper (Tire Width Gauge), and Rim Width Caliper (Rim Width Gage / Gauge) allows you to accurately measure both tire and bar rim widths. Rim and tire widths are given in both inches and tire sizes. Expands up to vehicle Tire Size 14 (14 inches). Image shows it is collapsed down to its smallest size (Tire Size 8). Tire widths are measured using the bottom tynes (outside measurement), and inside rim widths are measured without the tire using the top tynes. It is difficult to accurately measure rim and tire widths any other way, including with other types of calipers and gauges. With this simple, sturdy, accurate special caliper, you simply expand it out, rest the flat surface on the surface of the tire tread, then collapse it down until the tire tynes press against the tire walls, then view the measurment. For vehicle rims, you simply collapse the tire caliper down, insert the rim tynes inside the rim, then expand it out until the rim tyne points come into contact with the inside of the rim, then view the measurement. Great for switching out tires and/or rims, and for aligning and balancing tires. This inside/outside caliper tool has many other uses as well, including general shop use, carpentry caliper and construction caliper uses, manufacturing plant, farm and ranch.

Used and in great condition. Strong, sturdy Blue Point HCP-20 tool. We don't know what this tool does, and have seen others. It looks like some kind of special automotive tool, connector crimper or sheet metal forming tool. Do you know what this special tool does? This one is unique because it has thick, sturdy cemented-on rubber handle covers - great if you use the tool often and to apply greater pressure. Rubber handle covers also provide electrical insulation and thermal insulation - much better for electrical uses, forge uses and welding/brazing uses. The front end can also be disassembled and modified to use with punch and dies, starter punches, special grippers, cutters, etc.

Can also be used for other types of angular measurements. The aluminum channel that holds the gauge part is 12" long. If you need longer, you obtain and attach a metal or wood extension as long as you need (nothing obstructs the hollow part of the channel so any extension can slide into it).

Used chrome steel ball joint jig, and it works great. Very high quality and very sturdy tool. Ball joint jig has some unknown medical or laboratory application, but is very versatile and can be used for many other jobs. The wingnut tightens the ball into place. The ball joint will rotate through 360 degrees azimuth with an angle up to 45 degrees from the vertical through the entire 360 degrees. The tube connected to the top of the ball is 5" long with a 5/8" inner diameter hole about 4" deep. We do not know what the mechanism along this tube is used for, but it works great to position a tube or pipe slipped over this tube. The "L"-shaped "handle" on the side is a hexagonal bar 1/2" thick that is 4-1/2" long and sticks out 1-1/2".
