New old stock (NOS). Heavy duty, bright blue Heatshrink Tubing, 1-1/2" diameter (ID; 2-1/2" wide flat). This stuff is great! See how nice it looks on the handle of the hand vise next to the heat shrink roll (hand vise not included), and how tightly it conforms to the shape of the tool. Before the heatshrink, this tool had a cracked, worn, harsh-on-the-hands and ugly wood handle.
          Heatshrink tubing provides padding and comfort for handling tools, electrical insulation, thermal insulation, mechanical insulation, and is much easier to clean than woods and plastics and much easier on the hands than metals. And because it is bright blue, your covered tools stand out and can be easily spotted in your tool box and on your work bench, and easily identified if misplaced or stolen. With this blue heatshrink tubing, you can write on it with a permanent marker (e.g. Sharpie). It is easily cleaned up from dirt, grime, oils, grease and many chemicals. And it is very resilient to scuffing and to exposures to both fresh water and salt water, and to many harsh chemicals and sunlight. And this blue heatshrink tubing is easy to remove or replace: You just simply use a sharp knife or razor and slice it along its length.

Ceiling Lamp Plates, Satin Finish Stainless Steel, 4-1/2" diameter, 3/8" hole, 1/4" tall, about 1/16" thick with lamp hollow bolt for mounting and hanging strap hardware (one set for each steel plate). While high-quality heavy duty brushed stainless steel plates, they can be reasonably drilled, sawed and even punched - I punched one out by hand using a 1-1/8" dia Greenlee hole punch (I am almost 70). These stainless steel plates were originally designed for ceiling fans and lights, but have numerous other practical uses. For example, these versatile stainless steel disks can be used as very large washers, as covers and lids, as targets, as coasters (e.g. furniture coasters, table top coasters), as stand bases (e.g. for labs, displays, candles, tools, cameras, rifles, scopes and other optics, etc.), as shallow bowls and trays, as part of a toss game, for crafts, as shields, as reinforcing or protective end plates or caps. One great advantage of these test pins is that the wire is wavy at the top, permitting fast, easy and secure connections with 1, 2 or 3 simultaneous probes of the wide variety, types and sizes of probes used with test equipment, signal generators, power supplies, jumpers, etc., as shown. Because the test pin is made of stiff and strong wire (other similar pins are made of much softer wire and thus not good electronic test pins as they bend too easily), it works well with even big and heavy test probes and with relatively rough handling. Another major feature of these testpins is that these wavy connection points are horizontally offset from the pin insertion points so that you can clearly see and work in the test area where the pin is inserted because the test probe(s) is not in your way. This translates into easier and faster testing and repairs. Having tested 1,000s of circuit boards over the years, we can attest that this feature alone is a great convenience by eliminating the major annoyance of the typical straight test pins of having to constantly peer around the test pin to observe the components under test and make adjustments and changes as needed. For test pin purposes, we usually clip off one of the pins and put a short piece of heat shrink tubing on the remaining pin to minimize inadvertant circuit shorts. Also, these testpins make great jumpers, with easily modifiable spacing adjustments as necessary by simply bending the wavy part and clipping to length. Also, you can cut these test pins between the two wavy points to produce two identical test pins of one pin each to double the number of your test pins / test points. One great use we get out of them is cementing them to the ends of thin rods, and then using the magnets to pick up small-medium steel screws, nuts, nails and tacks from parts bins - much quicker than using your fingers. New old stock (NOS). No more cheezy, expensive, flimsy and plastic 9-volt battery clips/9-volt battery holders for you! These high-quality, well-manufactured, rugged aluminum or steel industrial-grade 9 VDC battery (9V radio battery) clips/holders, while originally not designed to hold batteries but for a different use, these clips securely and snugly hold 9-volt batteries into place. We use a ton of these highly versatile 9V battery holders / 9V battery clips in electronic equipment we build, often to replace existing 9VDC battery holders / 9VDC battery clips in equipment used in our electronic laboratories and shops, and for a very wide variety of other holding, securing, hanging, guide, joining applications for the many other parts, tools, prototype boards, rods, small pipes and cabling which conveniently fit into them.

These 9-volt battery clips can mount batteries in any orientation, and adapt to all kinds of battery clip mounting constraints found in equipment: They can be mounted in any of the 3 axes, and they can hold the battery or other part either on its side or its end. There is a bottom tab in the middle of both sides of the holder, about 1/2" x 1/2" each. Either or both of these tabs can be drilled or punched for a mounting screw or pop rivet hole to mount them on the side or bottom of a project box. And either or both tabs or sides can also be bent out at 90 degrees for flat mounting on the side or bottom of a chassis. And either or both tabs or sides can be sawed off or even broken off with pliers (by bending the tabs up and down several times to induce metal fatigue). The battery clip center or ends can also be punched or drilled for mounting a pop rivet or screw to mount it without the tabs. Or the battery holder can be simply cemented into place or tied in place using tiewrap.

By squeezing in the holder/clip sides, you can considerably stiffen the grip on the battery or other part to prevent it from falling out under even rugged handling of your enclosure (we even mounted one as a test to the underside of a car and it kept the battery in place for 6 months until we removed it); and by pulling the sides slightly more apart, you can considerably loosen the grip on the battery or other part for more easy placement of it. Changing the distances between the sides also allows the clip to be used with parts of varying sizes and shapes. For thinner items, you can use wood, plastic, rubber or cardstock spacers to help secure electronic parts and other parts using these holders. And for thicker items, you can cut off or bend away one side of each of two holders, and then space the holders apart the right distance to accommodate the thicker item.

These holders are so versatile, you should keep at least several in each of your work areas. Aside from holding not only batteries but numerous other small parts, two or more can be used to securely hold, separate and/or route long items, like rods, pipes, tubing, cabling and wiring. And they can be easily used to secure adjacent flat items together in several ways. They are very versatile for many, many uses.

Battery and battery terminals (i.e. battery connectors) are not included. CAUTION: As with all items made from sheet metal, handle with care as getting cuts is always possible if you are not careful, and always of course work safely, including using gloves and protective eyewear, facewear, apron, etc.

Used and all are in great condition. The bases are about 1-1/2" in diameter. There are slight variations in them, for example, some are flared a bit at the top, and the center mounting hole varies in diameter between the types. Shafts are about 5/8" diameter at the top and taper to about 3/4" at the bottom. All are a hard plastic. We will randomly select 10 out of the bag. These spool forms are great for holding thread spools, yarn spools, rope spools, string spools, wire spools, light cable spools, light chain spools, etc. that will fit on them. Two can be easily joined together to form its own spool, or any one can be used as an open-ended spool. These also make great electrical insulators / electrical standoffs for high voltage and strung antenna applications, and as extra long handles or pull handles of the type used in arcade machines. Great for general shop uses, crafts, sewing, hobbies, electronics, model-making, etc.

NOTE 1. Removal of the mower cover for the Black & Decker CM600 Lawnmower, required for this part, is not difficult (also applicable to other B&D lawn mowers): First, for safety purposes, remove the orange mower key and set it aside, which prevents the mower from accidentally turning On. Wear safety shoes, gloves, glasses and head wear. Right underneath each handle side, when handle is back, is a shallow recess in the B&D lawn mower's plastic cover. There is a 7/16" acorn nut in each recess (a steel nut which looks like an acorn nut). Push the mower handle all the way forward. Spray each acorn nut area with WD-40, then remove the acorn nuts using a socket wrench (you may need to hold the bolts so the nuts can be removed, 7/16" hex bolt heads are accessible from corresponding deep recesses in underside of B&D cordless mower). After acorn nuts are removed, loosen the back of the mower cover, and slide cover backward until the cover's two flat extensions on cover front are freed from their slots. Cover should now be loose. Push cover forward out of the way. When you are done, reverse this procedure to install the cover. Note that this procedure worked for us; but we take no responsibility for how well it may work for you.

NOTE 2: We bought the CM600 Type 2 cordless B&D mower that had this part at a moving sale. Owner claimed B&D mower worked fine. B&D mower had a cracked blade, so we never powered it On. We did charge up the depleted battery and tested battery voltage (both of these we are also selling separately), and battery charged fine (Control Module green LED came On, indicating that both charger and battery are likely good).
