INTEL PLAY QX3 COLOR COMPUTER MICROSCOPE

Used and in very good condition. Intel Play QX3 Computer Microscope (includes USB cable connection) with its Software (CDROM disk included but not shown in image), and its Tool Kit (tweezers, glass slides, etc.). No user manual - easy and straightforward to install and use. 10-1/2" tall. 10X, 60X, 200X magnifications. Very similar to the Digital Blue Computer Microscope (looks virtually identical and uses same software). Works fine with WinXP and Win98SE computers, but is untested for other versions of Windows, and is reputed to work with all Pentium 4 PC computers.
          While this Intel Play QX3 Computer Microscope is pretty and colorful and looks like a toy, this Intel Play Computer Microscope is a seriously powerful computerized microscope for students, schools, collectors, scientists, business people, investigators, authenticators, etc. While the Intel Play Microscope is not a professional-grade laboratory microscope (which costs $1,000+), it produces very good images, is easy to use and is light weight and portable. Focus is raised and lowered on the microscope to adjust for object's height. There is also a light intensity sliding bar in the software to adjust lighting intensity from dim to full bright. There are two snap-shot buttons: One on the Intel Play Microscope itself near its top (green button, see image), and one in the software triggered by your mouse.
          This Intel Play Microscope is a tremendous learning tool for children and adults alike, and scientists. You can look at tiny samples of things you find (displayed on your computer monitor), photograph them, store the color images on your computer (JPG images upto about 110K; also BMP images), edit with your PhotoShop or other software, printout, display, post, reproduce, email, etc. the images as needed (same as any other computer image). Great for science projects, Science Fairs, field trips, and home-based learning - the perfect computerized educational microscope!
          This Intel Play Microscope is also great for the business person. Using a band saw, we were able to remove a couple of the actual speaker units and they are about the size of a quarter. If you wear rings and have ever had one stuck on your finger where your finger is swollen, turning purple and choked off of blood and you are in great pain, then you will really appreciate this Finger Ring Cutter. This toner powder is great for that! Just clean the hard, smooth surfaces around your stuff well. Then later brush on this powder using a small, soft paint brush to see if you can raise any fingerprints. If you can raise fingerprints, then use a piece of clear tape to pick up the fingerprints and transfer them to a clean piece of paper (brush, tape are not included - sale includes only the toner).
