However, they are great collectibles, and the gold plating on the leads is important to some. I cannot find the specifications on any of these ICs. RARE VINTAGE MOTOROLA 2AD149, GOLD LEADS
GERMANIUM TRANSISTOR, PNP, POWER, TO3

New old stock (NOS) transistor with gold leads. The incredible 2AD149 monolithic transistor pair is a discontinued transistor. The suggested replacement is the NTE121MP, which is priced at $42.50 each! V(BR)CEO=30 volts, Ic=3.5 Amps. Pd Max=32 watts, Ft(min)=300 KHz. The 2AD149 was and still is to some extent used in stompboxes by musicians who need to reproduce the distinctive tonal character of the "fuzz"-tone from the early rock & roll era. In other words, if you truly want to produce that classic rock sound the way it was produced back then, you must go with germanium transistors. When it comes to music, there are important differences between silicon transistors and germanium transistors! Stomp boxes (e.g. the Ibanez TS9 Tubescreamer) - also known as effects pedals - is a sound effects unit usually housed in a small metal chassis, popularly used by musicians (usually electric guitar players as a guitar effects pedal, but sometimes by players of other instruments including keyboards, bass, violin and cello). These popular sound effects devices alter the sound quality (i.e. timbre) of the inputted signal - adding effects such as fuzz, distortion, boost, overdrive, chorus, reverberations, flanging, phaser, wah-wah and pitch-shifting. A guitar or other instrument played without the special effects of an effects pedal is typically described as "straight" or "clean" and sounds far less interesting to music philes.

Used, complete set. Rare Antique Inlaid Mother-of-Pearl Nail Kit with Leather Case. I bought this at an estate sale and was told that deceased owner's mother had bought it in the 1920s. The kit appears to be complete with its original tools, several of which have mother of pearl inlaids as shown. The case appears to be leather and is in very good condition, no tears or zipper problems. Case does show a little wear around the edges. A great collectible.

Used, in very good condition. Rare, vintage Gucci tie case / Gucci tie holder. If you really want to travel ritzy, this tie case is unbeatable - great impression maker for business and professional trips. And a great collectible! I can't find another one like this anywhere to compare it with and was told that it was a, 'very rare find,' so I am uncertain about my pricing. The case has some minor wear around the edges, no tearing, and zipper works fine. Gucci tie case is displayed on 1-foot square tiles.

BRASS EARTH GLOBES ORNAMENTS

Used, small brass decorative ornamental globes of the Earth pair. Can be mounted on furniture or book ends, or displayed unmounted. Rare item, high quality, great collectible. I don't know who made them. I bought them at an estate sale, and was told they are 50 years old.

VINTAGE, HEAVY DUTY, UNIQUE METAL 8 MM FILM SPLICER

Mint condition, precision machined and very high quality. Frankly, I am not really sure how or on what this rare 8mm film splicer was used. I was told by its prior owner that it was used to splice 8 mm film. It is made of metal, 12.25" x 7" x 1.75". Metal looks like bronze but I am not sure as I have not to my knowledge ever run into a metal like it. Prior owner said that he thought it was made of titanium. The center piece of the middle part rocks on two small leaf springs and has a 1/2" diameter shiny chrome or silver axle going through it with a threaded hole (where you see the center piece slot), which appears to accomodate some kind of handle for making it rock (handle not found). Middle part also rides on ball bearings with about a 2" x 1/16" flat slot on both sides of the middle part, which apparently applies light pressure on whatever flat thing is fed into one side, passed under the middle part and extracted from the other side. Originated from scientific surplus, so it might be used for some other reason than contention of prior owner. Shown is the front and back views. The black looking strips on the back are rubber strips used to protect a desk or other working surface the device was used on.

This rare, vintage Sears Craftsman sabre saw is great tool collectible, or you can use it in your work. Having a sturdy case for your saw is really great, especially if you work on construction sites, in the field, out of the back of your truck or van, etc.

RARE, VINTAGE POLICE ROLATAPE MODEL 200
CSI TAPE MEASURING TOOL w/ LEATHER CASE + DOCUMENTs

In excellent condition! This stunning and exciting police Rolatape Model 200 find is a rare vintage crime scene investigation (CSI) rolling tape measure equipment primarily used to investigate serious traffic accidents and perpetrator trails. Very high quality construction and materials. Body is made of metal and is about 7.5"diameter. Rolatape label states that it is a Rolatape Model 200 (Santa Monica, Calif.). Has an accordion-type folding arm that extends to about 3 feet (image shows it next to an 18" ruler). The handle folds up neatly and stores into the provided leather case, permitting the crime scene investigator to easily carry it in his vehicle. Even includes the rare documentation on it! This cost $34.75 when bought new, circa 1950s. I bought it from a retired police officer.

Used and works great. Vintage circa 1950s lamp assembly also serves as an integral part of the enclosure. This is the full-size Arel lamp assembly - not the apparently much more common "short box." Sturdy metal case with carrying handle is in great shape, except for a few scratches on the case and the internal foam cushioning has deteriorated due to aging. Still very useful for providing excellent continuous lighting for photography, indoor high intensity lighting or "sunbathing," indoor gardening, etc., or to save it as a collectible. 1500 watts, max. 17.5" x 6" x 11.5".

Basically what I do to make a standard "V" groover blade is to heat a hack saw blade red hot in the middle and then bend it into a "V" or other useful shape, then snap off the ends to the desired lengths, then install it on the groover (easy one-screw installation). Can be fitted with single blades, multiple blades, etc. of numerous different types, shapes and sizes. Depending on the blade you install, this Ideal rubber tire groover can groove, cut, shape, engrave, imprint or bore into, wood, plastic, rubber and cloth. You can fit it with hole saw blades to easily cut round holes through materials that are too thin, delicate or soft to withstand drilling the holes with the hole saw. At 200 watts, there is not much in the way of wood, plastic, rubber or cloth it can't burn through. A blade can even be adapted to it for heavy-duty soldering. Put a die on it, and you can use it for hot-stamping items with logos, images, names, numbers, etc. Great for shop, hobbyist, crafts person and model maker. Vintage Dr. Scholl's foot massager has what looks like a few marks from a permanent marker that have no effect on operation. Comes with two vibrating dome heads. What is really nice about this device is that the domes easily screw off so that they can be separately washed if you wish or even replaced by new domes. Better yet, one can adapt many different types of heads to these screws, improvised if you wish, to convert this device into many different other types of vibrators, including back vibrators, laboratory vibrators, office paper shakers, electronic device testers, mixers, etc. (conversion parts not included). I bought two of these vintage dental presses at an estate sale; this sale is for the last one of them. Surviving son told me that his father was a dentist and used these presses decades ago to make dentures. Great for the auto shop, machine shop, crafts shop, hobby shop, general shop, factory, other business, and home as a press, clamp or vise. Weighs about 13 lbs. Height is 10.5" when cranked all the way down. Handle is 11.5" long, which can of course be extended for greater pressing power using a pipe extension. Plate area is 7" X 4" (upper round press plate is 4" in dia.). Clearance can be varied from 1" to 5-1/8" for thick objects. Horizontal clearance is 4-1/2" wide, so it easily takes 2x4 amd 4x4 lumber and 4" pipe. Worm screw is 3/4" thick steel. While I have had it cranked down to several 100s of pounds of pressure, best I could tell, it was not even close to its limit (which is not stated on is unknown). The screw-press does have surface rust on it but as far as I can tell, the does not appreciably affect either its operation or maximum applied force. However, since neither the base nor the bottom of the round upper press plate is real smooth, the user might want to slide in 1/4" - 1" thick hardwood, pressed board, metal, plastic or rubber surfaces, according to what suits his/her needs best when smooth contact is required. Can be easily mounted on a work bench, work table, pick up truck bed, RV, van, camper, etc.

Made by Motorola. This Centel car phone, type SCN2330A, appears to be in excellent condition (I have not powered it up because I have no way to test it so I have no way of knowing how well it works). Includes the legendary Motorola Centel telephone (has an RJ-45 Ethernet connection and comes with their snap-in plastic holder shown attached), very high quality black padded leather bag, a SUN1640BA (Model S2498A, with antenna) transmitter unit, Motorola S1936C and S1550B cellular connections (both look alike and have one male RJ-45 Ethernet connector, one female Ethernet connector and one female RJ-11 phone connector), a cable bundle that has various connectors and a fuse holder (about 18 feet long, looks like coax), and a connection unit that connects to some relatively large and heavy electronic module sewed into the bag (a modem? some kind of secret module?) and comes with a DB25F connector and a cigarette lighter connector. No manual or other user information. Note that the strange Serial # ("ERQ") would seem to indicate that this is some highly specialized unit / customized unit and/or of very limited manufacture, probably for security purposes.

There is some minor pitting of the chrome. Great collectible item, and can be mounted either on the hood (e.g. as a hood ornament) or under the hood. Common 9" metal bike horns these days sell for about $8 each - these dual horns are much bigger, much better quality, much more rare, and you get two of them so price is real bargain. This rare - perhaps even one-of-a-kind - Indian sterling silver watchband embedded with turquoise and coral, with rare, vintage Seiko England watch, was purchased on an Arizona Indian reservation 3 decades ago by me. I was told at that time that the watchband was made on the reservation (we visited both the Zuni and Navajo reservations, but no longer recall which one I bought it on). Watchband is believed to have been made in the 1940s. Signed by artist "MP" with an arc over the "P" - I don't know who this artist is - see image. Do you know? I have never seen another one like this. I added the Seiko watch several years ago. The watch works great but its battery is run down and needs to be replaced. Watchband + watch weighs 4 oz, and is 1-1/2" wide. Oval space for wrist inside of watch is 3" at widest point and 2" at narrowest point.

It has a bronze or brass ring at the bottom, and red tassles attached. I have no expertise relevant to Japanese fans, so I cannot guarantee that what she told me was true. All I know is that it looks like a very old geisha fan to me. Fan is 9.75" long.

Still locating image - it looks very similar to one below but no box. Mint condition. Stunningly beautiful and delicate carved out wood probably The People's Republic of China fan, and is in very good condition. A whole lot of manhours went into this work of art. Looks like it is about 40 - 50 years old. I do not know what the Chinese lettering means. The end wood shafts of the fan look hand-carved. While this fan is not labeled, I have a very similar fan labeled, "Made in The People's Republic of China," so while I can't guarantee it, this fan is most probably also made in The People's Republic of China.

RARE VINTAGE CHINESE FAN w/ GLASS BOX
from THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ERA

Like-new condition. Stunningly beautiful and delicate carved out wood The People's Republic of China fan, and is in very good condition. A whole lot of manhours went into this work of art. The front of the box consists of actual glass (not plastic - not some glassine material - but actual glass!). Fan box is 8.5" x 1.5" x 1" and in great condition. Looks like it is about 40 - 50 years old. I do not know what the Chinese lettering means. The end wood shafts of the fan look hand-carved. Unlike today where many items labeled, "Made in China" can be found, those labeled, "Made in The People's Republic of China" are now rare and a terrific Asian art collectible. "The People's Republic of China"'s label is gold color. Since this label is very reflective, I have not been able to get a good photo of it.

Beautiful, stunning, and just downright incredible huge Japanese fan! Fan is made of 24" bamboo shafts and pink cloth. Used but in great condition; cloth as a few minor stains. Divided image shows the fan spread out on a tile floor with 12" tiles for photography purposes. The ruler in the image is 18" long but looks tiny compared to this fan.

This is about the heaviest and sturdiest brass or copper door knocker I have ever seen! It appears to be made of a brass that is heavy on the copper side. This very impressive, heavy door knocker is 6" long and 7" wide. Images show it with the knocker in the normal down position, and with it in the up position. The first real impression that people get of your home is your front door. So don't settle for one of those cheezy, flimsy and grossly overpriced hardware store door knockers. Especially if you ever intend to sell your home. This is one investment in your home you cannot afford to make. This door knocker already has engraved in it the name, "R. M. Bryson", and I have reduced the price because it already has a name on it. I purchased these incredible and fascinating stone figure oddities at an Estate sale out of their jewelry display case. Family of deceased previous owner claimed he was a world traveler who found them at a certain remote site in Central America over 50 years ago near an area where similar type stones but much, much larger were discovered in recent decades, and that they were found near each other with some kind of decayed wicker-like material near them. These appear to be actual rocks and not clay. I cannot tell whether or not they were naturally formed and thereby just coincidentally look like the face of an old man and a swaddling baby, or that they were intentionally carved that way. In the left eye of the man face is a broken piece of what looks like some kind of polished gem, but I can't tell for sure. I make no guarantee as to what these two fascinating pieces are. The face stone is 2" x 1-3/4". The swaddled baby stone is 2" x 1-1/4". The swaddled baby looks very similar to ancient carved stones of Baby Jesus, but if symbolic of Jesus Christ in the manger, then how did it get to Central America??? The swaddled baby stone also looks like a crucifix stone - if it is a crucifix, then the Jesus Christ question is even more important.

In 1998, while on a hike, I found a mystery rock with an embedded manmade-like electrical-like component (see images herein). It was embedded in a very hard dirt with only the pin tips exposed, required many hours to clean, including picking away between the component and the edge of its hole with a dental tool. Is it of alien or UFO origin? Made by a high-tech ancient people or advanced lost civilization? Of modern man-made origin? What was its purpose? Was the component formed with my rock? Hello. My name is John J. Williams. I have for decades been and still am an avid researcher and investigator of weird, unusual and unexplained phenomena. I believe that space aliens (extraterrestrials or ETs) and lost advanced civilizations existed here on Earth and have left evidence of their visits and stays. You will read on my CDROM my many trials and tribulations of trying to alert the world to my rock and getting it evaluated by a professional and objective electrical/electronic engineer/technician and geologist. Finding a highly probable genuine artifact is not enough to even get it responsibly evaluated. There are many fanatical career skeptics in and out of the scientific community who are agenda-driven and the spineless university/government PC-controlled institutions and professors - who have huge reputational and even financial stakes and other ulterior motives in preventing hard evidence of aliens and hard evidence of lost advanced civilizations ever being scientifically recognized, and they will stop at virtually nothing to prevent and destroy any such positive proof of aliens and positive proof of lost advanced civilizations, or its recognition (fanatical career skeptics have even repeatedly tried to induce me into destroying my rock) as an authentic alien artifact or as an authentic ancient artifact. Digging my strange rock discovery site is of pressing concern, because this most probable space alien site / lost advanced civilization site may further reveal science and technologies and other phenomena not yet known by modern man and perhaps even essential for our continued survival here on Earth. I am not of good health (Disabled Veteran) - the risks of the dangers of my rock and its site of being lost or damaged forever are proportional to the time it takes for me to be able to obtain a serious interest in it by open-minded scientists, engineers, and other qualified scientifically-oriented professionals, such as fortean phenomena researchers, paranormal researchers, and UFO researchers willing to devote their time and efforts to this project.

OBSERVED PROPERTIES & DIMENSIONS

My rock (The Petradox or The Enigmalith) with an embedded or implanted modern manmade-like electrical-like component (apparently a connector of some type) appears as in the composite image above. The Petradox's material may be solid natural quartz and feldspar rhyolite or granite (very little observed mica; I am not a Geologist, one Geologist told me that it is most likely rhyolite with a minimum age of 55,000 years). (NOTE: an engineer who has examined my rock stated that its crystals are of a material harder than quartz - perhaps even diamond!) The Petradox is not an accretion, concretion, pumice or a fossil. It does not contain any known resins, cements, glues, adhesives, limestone, mortar, or other non-rhyolite / non-granite binding agents. It is very hard.

Within an error of about 0.2 mm for all dimensions, my rock is about 61 mm long, 38 mm wide (at its widest), and 22 mm high (excluding the pins/rods/prongs). Using an ammo reloading scale, my rock weighs close to 2.5 ounces.

The Petradox's embedded component's rods/pins/prongs ("pins") are made of some kind of electrically conductive material (I assume to be metal) and are of steel-like appearance. The component base/matrix ("base") is a whitish ceramic or rock-like material, and is definitely not a plastic, rubber, wood, or metal type material (relatively rare for most types of modern manmade electrical components, ceramic-based components are normally limited to high temperature, high radiation, high voltage, high power, and/or ultra-longterm uses). The component itself is about 8 mm diameter; its pins are about 3 mm high, spacing between the pins is about 2.5 mm, and pin thickness is about 1 mm (again, all within 0.2 mm tolerance). Rounding at the ends of the pins indicate some long-term wear, so 3 mm may not be their original lengths. All pins appear to be about the same size (wide-angle lens on digital camera distorts relative size of nearer objects to more distant ones).

While there is no indication that there ever was a fourth pin or any type of keying, the component's base is raggedly chipped where a fourth pin might have been located if there ever had been one, and scoring on my rock itself leading up to the chipped area indicates that at some time my rock and its component received a forceful glancing blow. The chipped area is deep and slanted.

Ohmmeter readings (no matter what the connection polarity) indicate either open-circuit or very high impedance between the pins (FET-type or tube-type technology (e.g. MOSFET-type technology)? Some unknown organic or biologic circuitry that rotted away? Broken circuitry inside?) . I have also injected various electronic signals through the pins without any response or reaction being detected. Some have speculated that the component is an XLR connector. I have done much research component searching on this, and it is NOT a XLR plus (for visual proof, see lower right images in composite image herein - detailed proof on CDROM) - or any other connector I know of. In spite of major global publicity about my rock since Spring 2003, and a huge amount of input from both supporters and career skeptics -No one has been able to identify the embedded component or the rock assembly itself by make and model/part # as being modern manmade.

There is no indication of any cement, glue or adhesive whatsoever on or near the component from visible light, X-ray and blacklight examinations. There is slight magnetic attraction (using a 10-lb pull rare earth magnet), to the component, and to the bottom of my rock underneath the component. Using a small geologist-type Spec-Tec blacklight unit (Model HD-1, Spectrum Technologies), "L" setting (long wave), there is no discernible change of color in either the component base or pins. However, under a large powerful industrial blacklight, the component base appears to be a bright pink with some phosphorescence and a strange red "tab" not visible in visible light appears on the component edge. Neither my rock nor its component appears to glow in the dark, change colors under visible light, emit sound, light or radio wave, or feel unusually warm or cold, or have anything that rattles around inside of it. Neither my Geiger counter (Victoreen Model CDV-717) nor a Geiger counter used by a professional materials laboratory that tested my rock detected any radiation emanating from my rock.

My rock has been heavily eroded, probably from water flowing over it for 100s or 1000s of years (rock not found anywhere near a current stream bed). Microscopic examination of the component pins as shown in CDROM image also indicates heavy erosion of the pins in one direction, indicating that the component also was exposed to a stream flow in one steady position for a long period of time. And melted blobs of a metallic-like material on the component's periphery (CDROM image) indicate that some metal object in the immediate area of the component was subjected to such high temperatures to cause melting and splashing onto the component (UFO crash landing site?). Some have speculated that my rock is a thermal "rock" used with small animals, but extensive searching has not produced a single commercially made heat rock or hot rock that would verify this speculation, and no such match has ever been reported to me; and if it were a thermal rock, pin-to-pin resistances would be relatively low - not at or near open-circuit, and it would not have been made from rhyolite or granite. Nor do X-rays indicate any embedded heater elements. The Petradox is NOT a heat rock. (more argument against the heat rock / hot rock theory below). Without further testing, I do not know how my rock was supposed to function, and what type of device, tool, weapon or instrument it was or is, what technology was involved, or who made it and its origin. However, since no one even after global longterm exposure has identified either my rock assembly or its implanted component as a modern (i.e. post 1492) manmade device, by the process of elimination, it must either be an ancient manmade device or made by a Non-Terrestrial Intelligence (NTI). I do not believe that my rock was created for an artistic purpose (such as the rock art, rock paintings, rock engravings and rock carvings found in caves and petroglyphs). Similar type rocks to mine have been found, for example, a strange electrical connector type component buried in the center of a geode in California, and the slot rock recently photographed by a Mars rover).

One of the sets of high-intensity industrial X-rays taken of my rock (CDROM image) show a relatively large bulbous cavity adjacent to and extending below the component's cavity, connected to both the component's cavity and the rock surface through small channels. This cavity is not visible in visible or strong uv light or by using less-intense dental X-rays. Dolphins and whales have a cavity on their heads that amplifies and focuses sonar sound waves - sort of an amplifying sonar sound lens. Could this bulbous cavity have an analogous function of amplifying and focusing some type of alien death ray or government death ray?

The second image is a composite montage of a sample of 14 small thumbnail versions of the images found on the CDROM of the about 150 images on the CDROM. Used and in great condition. Rare, decorative vintage food duster / dust pan with decorative curved brush. In very fancy restaurants, especially during the old days, waiters and waitresses used food duster pans of this general type to quickly clear tables and seats from dry leftovers of previous diners. There were many variations, most like this one apparently handmade in small quantities. This is an absolutely great collectible - possibly even unique! We were told that this Item was made in 1928 but we can't find a reference to one like this. This is a used vintage handheld motorized Dremel scroll saw / jigsaw / reciprocating saw, Model A, and works great. Operates off of 115 VAC, 60 Hz, 50 watt. This Dremel jigsaw uses common 3" scroll saw blades. Throat is 10" deep for easily doing even deep work. Can use modified blades to also do sanding, grinding, polishing and slicing. Being able to handhold a powered scroll saw means that you can much more easily do difficult jobs in tight situations, fast, accurately and with minimal stress, strain and risk to you and the work. For example, this is a great tool to use if you've got to cut a pipe underneath your sink or car. RARE, VINTAGE O.M. FRANKLIN IDENTITY MARKING TOOL /
IDENTITY STAMPING TOOL

Used and works great. This rare and unique stamping tool was originally made for stamping livestock in the mouth as a form of branding them. However, it has many other practical uses where one needs to uniquely identify something in a way that is both permanent (cannot be erased or covered up and won't wear out) and very difficult to counterfeit. You dial in the 4-digit serial number by rotating the wheels at the top of the tool head. Each digit consists of a number of 1/4"-long pointed steel spikes arrayed in the form of a digit (0 - 9) which penetrates or at least indents the material being marked. See upper right of image to see what the stamping looks like. Works especially well with soft-to-medium materials such as leather, plastic, some metals and wood, and flesh between 1/32" to 1/4" thick. Also makes a great collectible. Has some surface discoloration and rust.

RARE, ANTIQUE TELEGRAPH / PROJECTOR TUBE ASSEMBLY

I bought this stunning item at an estate sale of a collector which also featured rare antique Atwater radios and Philco test equipment (sold in my webpages) and other rare, vintage and antique mostly radio electronics. In the decades I have actively searched for rare vintage and antique electronic equipment, this is the very first one of these I've ever run into! I was told by a family member of the deceased that it is an `antique telegrapher's vacuum tube assembly' dating back to `about the 1920s.' During months of searching, I have tried to verify this and find out more information about this Item, but have had no success, so I am not certain that this is a telegrapher's tube assembly or when it was made. It possibly could be a lamp to a very old projector or spotlight assembly as a few people have told me, however, since it is coated opaque black at the top, it is difficult to see how it was used as a lamp. There are no markings on the base or on the tube. There is something handwritten inside the tube on its molded glass part, but I can't read it, looks like gold or yellow ink. The tube pushes and twists to lock into place with similar action as that of a bayonet type light bulb used in car lights or a medicine bottle (tube base is not threaded). Assembly is 7-1/2" x 4-1/2" (at widest point). The tube itself is 5-1/2" x 1-1/4" diameter. The tube socket looks like it is made of bronze. I have left the small remnants of the original wiring still connected. The Item is in great condition with a little rust near the screws on the top and the mechanism at the bottom, and a small hairline split in edge of the base (see left image). Base and standoffs appear to be made of a phenolic-like material but I am not sure. Base is actually brownish-reddish in color, purple coloration of image is due to photo underexposure.

I bought brass ice tongs at an estate sale. I was told that it was made in the 1930s - not quite antique yet, but certainly vintage. These brass tongs do not have any stampings on it as to manufacturer or part number. Used and in very good condition. I bought it at an estate sale. Believed to be of WWII vintage according to the family. Not only is this very strong and durable steel box a great military collectible, but it can also serve as a really strong and secure case for keeping valuable instrumentation, precision tools, other collectibles, and expensive other items such as jewelry, gems and precious stones, coins, fossils, important rocks, etc. It individually unlatches from both its top and bottom to provide padded spaces for securely storing and protecting valuable items. First image shows the top and front of the box, which measures 11" x 4.25" x 3". The top, left of the second image shows the box with both its top and bottom opened up. Bottom, left of second image shows the boiler plate on the box (this is all of the information I have on these boxes; do you know more about them?). In all the years I have collected rare camera, film and other equipment, this rare Optics Manufacturing Corp. Model 90 strip film projector is the first one of these I've run into. I bought it at an Estate sale. Sturdy hard case with carrying handle. I have no way of testing this film strip viewer so I don't know how well it works or whether or not it has all of its parts (it appears to have all of its parts). My only testing was to plug it in just long enough to verify that the lamp turns ON, which it does. Has some wear and tear, including some discoloration and scuffing of the case and several small scratches on the frosted glass. 13.5" x 10" x 6".

Book is roughly 5" long, 3" wide, 1.5" thick. I bought it an an estate sale. The lady told me that her grandfather had fought the Japanese in the Pacific and in Indochina and bought it home with him, and told her that it was a Japanese Officer's Field Manual.

NEW MEXICO IRON METEORITE
2,996 gram, 895 cm3

This meteorite was found near Alamogordo, New Mexico, several years ago, in the desert, not near any known volcanic activity, iron or nickel mining operations, industrial operations, smelters or roads big enough for a car or truck. Shown is a 5 lb pull magnet magnetically stuck to it. Volume was determined by the Archimedes water displacement method. Density is 3.35 g/cm3 (2,996g/895cm3) - within the density range that iron meteorites fall into. Streak tests with ceramic tile reveals no marks on the tile, therefore, rock is not magnetite and not hematite. Since rock is attracted to a magnet, it must contain iron, nickel and/or cobalt. Chunks of stone materials are observed to be part of the rock matrix, which would not be expected in a smelter operation.

My rock looks very closely like many of the meteorites I have seen sold Online and in rock shops and museums. While all of these facts strongly suggest that it is a meteorite, I have not yet had it chemically analyzed or dated to conclusively prove that it is a meteorite. Then again, many of the "meteorites" sold Online do not include descriptions of their density or results from any testing - not even streak testing - much less any chemical testing. If you want to come to Albuquerque, NM, and test the rock in front of me without obligation to anyone - all totally at your expense and you provide me a free, clear and complete copy of all test results - you are certainly welcomed to do that.

If my rock is a meteorite, who knows from which of the billions of heavenly bodies it could have come from and what treasures of data it possesses. As far as I know, my meteorite does not relate to any other meteorite ever discovered.

Recently, while trimming trees in my backyard, I discovered this weird conjoined tree with fused tree limbs. I believe that the tree is a cedar, about 20 years old. I have cut the trunk and branches off above it. I did not graft or splice the tree, or bind or press the branches together, or in any other way intentionally cause the tree to join in two places. The branch that joins the trunk at the top and bottom is thoroughly fused into the trunk in both places roughly in the shape of a "D" - as if the branch part at each fused point were a normal branch growing from the trunk. This is a very rare scientific oddity, natural curiosity or unexplained fortean phenomenon, such as a very rare tree mutation or tree deformity (plant mutation / plant deformity / plant abnormality).

CRYOGENICS CYLINDER (Machined Aluminum)

Mint condition with no evidence of use I can find. I bought this at an estate sale where the family described it as a, "cryogenics cylinder." They did not know specific function or manufacture. I know little about cryogenics. Base diameter is 5.75". It is 7.25" tall with the base, and 7" tall without the base (i.e. just the cylinder). Cylinder outer diameter is 4", and its chamber opening is 3.75" diameter, 4.25" deep. On top are two 1" high ports, 1" outer diameter, 3/4" inner diameter (opening), non-threaded, spaced 2.625" apart (center-to-center). One port is bevelled at the top, the other is flat at the top. The bevelled-opening port extends into the chamber 1.375" deep as an aluminum tube, and opens into the chamber with a hole on side of this tube. The flat-opening port opens into some kind of "attic" above the chamber, which opens into the chamber with a port about 1" in diameter covered with a very fine mesh. Cylinder press fits into the base (no threads). Makes a great collectible in weird, science, science fiction, and medical categories.

Kilovolt setting upto 100 KV. The ports on top are used for two glass capacitor high-voltage dividers (not included as I no longer have them). The high-voltage capacitor dividers are about a foot long with the spherical high voltage terminals at the end. However, a skilled technical person probably can fabricate a safe and useful replacement high-voltage dividers made out of high-voltage insulator material less fragile than glass. 11" x 9" x 9".

Rather than having a normal LED display, it has a wand with a bank of high-speed bright blue LEDs packed in near the wand tip. When the clock is ON, the wand very rapidly swings back and forth throuth the "V" notch area of the clock like an extremely fast pendulum. The LEDs then light with such precise timing as to give the appearance of "writing" the time, day, day of week, month and year date data in the "V" notch area, with the wand practically completely disappearing due to its very fast movement. The effect is that this data displays in mid air, giving it an eerie, science fiction, futuristic effect. Certain to be a great conversational piece.

Afterwards, at another Estate sale, I found this adorable gingerbread train, which construction and materials look very similar to my gingerbread houses. I don't know its origin, and I have never seen gingerbread pottery outside this collection that look anywhere like these do. The Train looks like it is really made of gingerbread, and that it is handmade. The Train is apparently made of slabs of clay made to look like gingerbread. The Train is 7.25" x 6.25" x 3.75". The Train will stand nicely in your display cabinet or shelf, special collection, child's room, etc.

VINTAGE/ANTIQUE FLEXIBLE MATERIAL CLAMP /
VULCANIZED HOT PATCH CLAMP

Used and in great condition. I don't know what this large, unusual-looking clamp was originally designed for. The clamping end looks very much like the typical hot patch clamp for tubes. The fancy curve in its body and the much greater thickness of the materials it can handle looks like it is used for patching large, bulky tubes that its smaller cousins can't handle. A regular bench vise can be used to clamp anywhere along its ridge for optimum positioning. It has some surface discoloration as it was stored in a barn, but is fully functional. I don't know its make or model or how old it is. Makes a great tool collectible, and is very useful for clamping all kinds of flexible materials such as rubber, plastic, metal sheeting, and wood for the shop, business, hobbies, crafts, model-making, fabric and sewing uses, etc. This clamp of course can be also be used to clamp rigid items and materials to a depth of about 5" if you don't need to use its curve feature.

This is a heavy tray compared to a lot of other silver-plated trays / silver-plated platters I have seen about the same size. I know little about silver plated items, so I am selling it at a modest price. My loss is your gain. Photographing shiny surfaces is not easy, so to try to get a clearer photograph, I did not shine up the silver.

Used but worked great last time I used it. Electronic biofeedback thermometer is portable and battery-operated. Generally employed for biofeedback, relaxation and stress reduction, and in mind control and brainwave entrainment research. It is 10.5" x 8" x 4.5", and built into a strong case, with a big easy-to-read meter. COMES WITH PROBES AND MANUAL. The two big, Eveready Energizer No. 266 (Neda 1605) 9-volt batteries it came with are depleted. I do not have replacements for these batteries; however, the power connectors to the system can be easily re-wired for the 9-volt radio batteries and 9-volt DC power adaptors commonly used today. I did not make this change because vintage equipment collectors prefer that such rare, vintage equipment be left as much in its original condition as possible, and new or rechargeable No. 266 batteries may be still available somewhere. Will be shipped without batteries installed. Since I have not been able to test this system, I am selling it "as is."

CARBON COMPOSITE CONE FORM /

Heavy, very hard, and apparently a 100% carbon composite cone form, apparently precision-machined and not cast. I can barely scratch it with a sharp X-Acto knife. Actual weight is 1.5 lbs and feels very solid. Base is 6.5" diameter, and it is about 3" tall. Undersided (not shown) is hollow in the cone area, about 2" deep to tip of cone, making the cone surface itself probably about 1" thick. Base "ring" is solid 1.25" wide all around and 1" tall. Material is an electrical insulator material and not magnetic. This is definitely some kind of industrial, scientific or laboratory type cone form. Can be used as a form for shaping, as some kind of mount, for scientific experiments and science fairs, to launch experimental rockets from, for various crafts, general shop uses, display uses, and as a cover of some type - many possible different uses. I collect weird scientific and electronic devices, and this is the first one of these I've ever run into. Do you know what it is? This is apparently one of those kinds of things that when you need one, they are almost impossible to find and nothing else will do.

RARE ANTIQUE SIMONDS SLOTTED TOOL,
"NO. 6 PATENTED"

Used and works great. This rare Simonds slotted tool seems like it may have a practical use for rolling ribbon or similar material up. Someone told me it was a common tool used in conjunction with weaving looms back in the 1920s. Three other persons told me that it is a handle for a Simonds crosscut saw - a two-man crosscut saw used for felling large trees in the lumber industry - a Simond saw handle is most probably its actual original use. However, it can also be used for holding a scraping, cutting or chopping head (e.g. axe head). Or for holding or positioning a wedge. Or for aligning big nails or stakes. Or for opening or closing containers that have a rectangular head that fits into the slot. Also makes a great tool collectible. I bought it at an estate sale where the family told me it was `about 100 years old.' I am collecting rare, weird and old tools for decades now. I have never run into another tool like this one. Slot is 3-1/2" long and 3/16" wide with an adjustable washer. It has seen a lot of use, and its surface finish is rough.

CONDIMENT TRAY HANDLE, circa 1880s

I got this antique stunning silver-plated condiment tray handle at an Estate sale in Albuquerque after the unknown buyer of the set (who paid several $100 for the set) left this handle behind and never returned for it. The set was being sold as an 1880s family heirloom. 9-3/4" x 3" x 3/4". The 1/2" diameter hole at the end is recessed to a depth of about 1/4", followed by a coarse-threaded 3/16" hole. If you don't have a matching tray or other silver serving part for it, the handle could be attached to any number of other serving pieces, barbecue pieces, fireplace pieces, tools, crafts, etc.

ANTIQUE COVERED WAGON / CONASTOGA HINGE PART or
ROPE TIE-DOWN or BRACE

I bought this at an estate sale where a family member told me that it was from a covered wagon or conastoga used by the deceased person's great grandparents to emigrate to Utah in the 1800s. The story was that when they reached Utah, the wagon was so beaten up that they tore it apart for firewood. I don't know the family so I can't verify the story. It is 14" x 1-1/2" x 3/16", and has 2 centered 3/8" holes. It looks like it bolts to the side of the wagon, and was perhaps part of a hinge, rope tie-down or brace of some kind, or maybe something to hold a whip, tool or something. It still has a bent nail in it. It has substantial surface rust and pitting but probably has at least 90% of its original strength. An absolutely great collectible.

RARE, ANTIQUE ACE CLIPPER STAPLING PLIER,
ACE STAPLER, No. 702 w/ ORIGINAL BOX

Used and in great condition. The box has seen better days but is still intact. This is NOT the clearly more common No. 702 Ace Stapler that uses the No. 70001 staples (of which I have and use about a half-dozen of), but the No. 702 that uses the No. 700 staples (apparently, the same staples but with an older number; there are minor physical differences between the two staplers but they don't apparently affect the staples used). These staples are truly distinctive and very classy - as far as I know - ACE was the only one who made staplers that used these "undulated staples" (wavy staples). Whatever you staple stands apart from everything else anyone else has submitted alongside what you submitted. I have had people call me on the phone and ask me what in the world I use as a stapler and how can they get a stapler just like mine. This No. 702 Ace Clipper, however, is apparently so rare - in all my years of looking - this is the only one I have ever found - so I am not selling it cheap. I would not even suggest to use it but perhaps display it. Both the 702s that use 70001 staples and the ones that use 700 staples are very high quality chrome plated staplers - I swear if these were fetched from a sunken ship after years, they still would be bright and shiny - none of that awful mousy grey or black paint used on "standard" office staplers.

100s VARIED SWIZZLE STICKS / DRINK STIRS / BAR STIRS

Huge collection of international and domestic swizzle stick drink stirrers over several decades. These plastic drink stir sticks fill up about 90% of the 10" x 5" x 4-1/2" metal box shown. I have not counted or sorted these bar stick stirrers, but estimate that they number about 300. There are few duplicates, and some look really weird and ornate. I don't collect swizzle sticks and am not a swizzle stick expert, I bought them only because I need the box (the box is not included). I bought this swizzle stirrer collection at an estate sale. The recently deceased was described by his family as a foreign correspondent since WWII and died in his late 80s. I can't guarantee their rarity or value, but with my limited experience with swizzle sticks these look much more unique and unusual than the ones I have run into. If some are treasures, it is your good gain and my loss - I have no idea what their values are. Since I am in the process of trying to count, sort and catergorize some 100,000 integrated circuits (see my webpages), I simply I do not have the time to go through this most unusual collection.

Unused set of collector's spoons. I have been told that these eye-popping spoons are either extremely rare or in much higher demand than the supply can support. Left-to-right is the: (1) Easter Island spoon with a Moa statue on the handle (Sterling Silver 925), (2) Berchtesgaden spoon, (3) Princess Diana and Prince Charles spoon (silver plated), and (4) Stonehenge spoon. These spoons are probably worth far more than what I list them for. Reason why I say that is because I have just been viciously and very personally attacked by a major spoon collector and seller on a major Online auction site with a rating in the 1,000s. Out of the sky blue, this total stranger emailed me to claim as part of her bizarre crackpot-type rant that these 4 spoons are all `cheap commonly available spoons.' I asked her for her official credentials and certification that makes her an expert at pricing spoons, which she never provided. I later discovered that other than being a competitor seller of spoons, she has absolutely no official credentials or certification that makes her a collectible spoon expert (you should always ask). I then calmly suggested as the proof of the pudding for her to place an ad selling 4 spoons just like these 4 spoons, let me know, and I would buy them immediately, but if she didn't do this she would clearly be a liar and probably a fraud. She refused to list 4 identical 'cheap commonly available spoons,' claiming that she had none of them on hand to list, but instead, launched into two more bizarre crackpot email rants in which she even personally, viciously and disgustingly attacked my long-deceased mother on a sexual basis! All of her rants are in giant bold letters. I am selling Items like this for about 10 years now. I sell/sold a great variety of things (mostly electronic parts), some of which are valuable collectibles. Once in a while, as a desperation scam to try to intimidate me into lowering my prices so a collector or competitor seller can snap up my Item at a bargain price, I have been subjected to this kind of transparent and vicious tactic in which no insult is spared. IN VIRTUALLY EVERY CASE IT MEANS THAT THE ITEM I AM SELLING IS WORTH EVEN MORE THAN WHAT I HAVE LISTED IT FOR. No sane person will resort to this kind of desperate tactic unless the Item is a very valuable Item. In another case, I was attacked for listing on auction a fine gold-plated 1920s pen and mechanical pencil set Online for $125. The attacking collector demanded that I lower my Start Price to $10, and like this spoon collector, resorted to all kinds of vicious personal insults to try to intimidate me. A collector then bought my pen set for $139. I now have listed, including other spoons and spoon cabinets. I have sold some of my spoons Online and got positive feedback specifically for them. (9) LAMP BEZELS (Red & Purple from Military Equipment)

Used and in very good condition. Very high quality metal construction with faceted type bezel glass. The left image shows what the two colors are when a light shows through them. The right image shows what they look like on their sides and bottoms. They are threaded at the base, and they require a 9/16" round hole. These were salvaged from very expensive military equipment. While about 80% of my supply are red and 20% purple, If you specify how many of the 9 you wish to be red or purple, I will try to provide those proportions; however, I cannot guarantee what % of each color you will get. These 5 beautiful candles are in a sealed package with no package labeling. They were purchased in South Africa, and each has a beautiful picture, with "SOUTH AFRICA" below the picture. Each candle is cylindrical 4" long by 1-9/16" wide. Nice way to honor such a great country by displaying or using them. Used but in good conditions. These Glastic high-voltage plastic electrical mountings are perfect for many medium-size electrical insulating applications. Centered threaded quarter-inch inserts on both sides (female); the metal threaded insert on one side is not electrically conductive to the one on the other side so they are insulators. 2" tall x 2" diameter. Used a few times but in great condition (box is a little worn). With its original documentation. Model 267, Part No. 0509. Pair of test probes are each 12" long. 50K VOLTS D.C., 20K Ohms/Volt. If you have ever been shocked while testing a high-voltage circuit, then you have a clear understanding as to just how critical high voltage probes are for electronic laboratory work! I strongly recommend using high-voltage probes for testing all circuits with voltages over 100 volts for all heart-healthy persons, and for much less voltages if you have heart problems or heart pacemaker or any other implanted electronics, as well as to take all other prudent measures to prevent painful shocks and possible electrocution.

RARE, VINTAGE RAILROADIANA /
RAILROAD MEMORABILIA, BLACK METAL WALL HANGINGS

Rare and in excellent condition. I saw ones like these on a train decades ago when I was a child (Dad was Santa Fe Conductor). However, I can't recall what exactly they were used for. They appear to be wall hangings. They also have a re-enforced 5/8" center hole, so possibly they could have been used as leg supports to suspend a pipe or tube (or paper roll / fabric roll / carpet roll / plastic sheeting roll between them, e.g. a butcher paper holder), which in turn could have suspended a pot or some other load. The facing small holes could have been used for rods, threaded at the ends for nuts, to complete the assembly. Should you want to use them for some type of holder, you can specify the distance the "stands" are apart to fit your application (within the mechanical limits of the Item). Made of iron or steel, very sturdy, painted black. 13" x 7-3/8" x 3/16" thick.
