SEARCHING FOR ITEMS: Items are enterred in this webpage mostly based on order we obtain them. Please use top-right search box or your Browser Search / Find feature to locate the specific Items of interest or just browse webpage. We listed many Items by more than one name and name variation (e.g. "oscilloscope", "o-scope"). If you can't find Item on webpage, try by other name variations, and then by function and functional variations, then search our other likely webpages, see SITEMAP for links.

ITEM CONDITIONS: Unless otherwise indicated, all items described on this webpage are new old stock (NOS) and never used. We often buy and trade for new electronic parts, electronic test equipment, and other items of the types described herein, preferably in larger quantities, some which we set aside for our own electronic laboratory, shop and other inventories and some we resell herein. Should you have items to sell or trade of these types, please let us know via email. All small parts and materials we acquire for resale herein must be new, but we often buy and trade for used large parts, tools, equipment and books in very good conditions, which we describe as "used" for those we resell. Please email us (please don't call as we are often in our labs), use email Subject: "Buy/Sell/Trade Inquiry."

DESCRIPTIONS & IMAGES: Unlike many Online stores, our goal is to always provide you clear and correct item images, and accurate and reasonably complete item descriptions. While we have tried to be 100% accurate in our descriptions and images, please freely let us know of any errors or omissions made herein, for example, by emailing us URLs to relevant datasheets. While images usually help, most of the items we sell are already well known. If any of our descriptions or images are missing, incomplete or inaccurate and this affects your purchase decision, please email us (please don't phone; put "Need Better Info for Item" in email Subject Line) so we can make reasonable corrections. Some of our images of non-electrical and non-electronic hardware may not show all of the included attachments and accessories which the actual items have so that we can provide bigger and clearer images of the body of the items to better show part numbers, labeling, features and cosmetic conditions.

POLICIES: Unless explicitly stated otherwise on this webpage, all applicable Techzonics organization policies are found at: www.consumertronics.net/policies.htm.

PAYMENTS: We accept checks, money orders, PayPal (PP), Money Transfer Service (MTS) payment, trade and cash. Simply email us (wizguru) a list of what you want (Title, name or part # of each choice), include the prices with S/H, and your name, shipping address and preferred payment method, or use one of our Consumertronics Online Order Forms.      (3) MONEY TRANFER SERVICES (MTS) DETAILS: Pay to: "John Williams" (due to fact that using MTS to pay to a business name is usually a major hassle). All MTS payments over $500 require prior written approval by us. While almost all MTS arrive here within an hour, a few may take 1-3 days.
     (4) PAYPAL (PP) DETAILS: Before paying us by PP, email us with your order details and for our prior approval. Should we verify that your amount is correct and approve PP for you, go to PP. Do a PP "Send Money" to: "wizguru@consumertronics.net". PP over $50 require prior, explicit, written approval by us via email, and PP payers must be Verified PP users, which transaction PP must provide Seller Protection. For both verifiable and repeat Buyers, ABQ Techzonics may greatly increase the PP limit, in which case, it emails to Buyer his/her new PP level.
     (5) ITEMS FOR TRADE DETAILS: Who doesn't want to save cash these days! We do accept Items of Trade. By doing Items For Trade, you save money and get rid of good Item(s) you need less than Items we offer. Prior explicit permission from us is required before you ship to us any Item for trade. If interested, email us (wizguru, put in email Subject Line: "Item for Trade Inquiry.") with full details of what you have to offer and what you want for it (you must have sole and exclusive ownership of all Items you offer to us for trade). Once your trade Items arrive here, we will examine them, which usually takes 3-20 days. If acceptable to us, we will ship (at our S/H expense within 2 work days) what we had agree to trade to you. Note: We do not want old TVs,VCRs, home systems, computers, monitors or peripherals or big, heavy items, and all items must be clean and safe to ship and handle. Again, don't ship us anything until you receive our written explicit approval to do so.
     (6) PAY EXACT FULL AMOUNT: Please pay the exact full amount of your purchase + S/H (email us if you are not sure). If you overpay us by more than 5% or $100 (whichever is less), allow 90-120 days for us to refund you the difference.
     (7) UNACCEPTABLE PAYMENT TYPES: No credit cards, debit cards, CODs, partial payments, postdated payments, "on approvals", direct bank transfers, gift cards, foreign currency, bitcoins (or any other form of virtual money), or any other types of payments or shipment not explicitly OKed herein or by us in writing prior to payment. Furthermore, we reserve the right to refuse any order, form of payment, or buyer-imposed sale or shipping conditions without liability to us. For our good buyers: We are more flexible in types of payments and shipping conditions. FOREIGN BUYERS: Some items may be restricted by government regulations for export, and Buyers assume all liability for the legality of our shipments to them and their purchases, possessions and uses of the items we ship to them.

NOTE: Prior to Paying for Your Order, be sure to first check and verify by email our stated availabilities, costs, and S/H. Due to a recently past staff shortage over last few years, we are trying to catch up. Availabilities: About 95% of Items listed as available are still available. Prices: About 50% of Items have changed prices, both up and down, depends on the Item. S/H: Increase all stated S/Hs by 25% (blame the shippers). Taxes: New Mexico and some other States, Counties and Cities (but not all) now levy an Online sales tax, which if due, we must collect (blame the politicians). Also, do not pay by PayPal without our prior, explicit and written OK (due to hacking attempts on our PP account; if we need to refund a PP payment for any reason, we charge the Buyer a 10% fee).

PRICING: We are flexible in our prices and S/H - especially for our good customers and for quantity and multi-item orders - we want to be fair to both you and us. Prices are stated below Item Description. We determined Item price based on prices of similar items found Online and in stores. In cases of no clear Online or store price consensus, other sources were used. If our price is too high for any item we sell, we will seriously consider reducing our price - especially if you document that others are selling this same or equivalent item at lower prices in the quantity you need - our goal is to beat our competitors! For many items, we are not limited to the quantities shown - should you need more and we have what you need available, we will seriously consider your offer. By buying an item in quantity and/or more than one item, you much reduce your S/H costs per unit. In most cases we can also do less quantity if your total order is $10+ (+S/H) and average price of your items is $5+ each. Just email us with your needs, your counter-offers, and/or items you want to trade.

SPECIAL DISCOUNTS: Until ___________, 20___, you may take _______% off of the price of any and all Items described on this webpage in which the word "Firm" does not appear next to the price.

SPECIAL QUANTITY DEALS SAVES YOU MONEY: Larger quantity (and multiple Item and local pickup and delivery) sales almost always result in per-unit $Item-plus-S/H savings for YOU! We have some Items in much larger quantities than offered above as usually stated in Item description. Yes, if we have the quantity to meet your higher quantity needs, we will seriously consider any reasonable and mutually fair offer you propose which will not only get you the quantity you need but at a substantial savings to you in per unit price and per unit S/H costs (quantity evenly divisible by 10 or 25). We will seriously consider underselling all other major sellers of the same items.

SHIPPING & HANDLING & COMBINED CHARGES: Where S/H is stated, it is stated for CONTINENTAL USA ORDERS. Shipping part of S/H is based on actual Shipping charges. Does your home or business have a possible water leak problem? Indications are usually high and escalating water bills, sounds of running water late at night when no one is up using water, unusual but usually sudden sounds coming out of the plumbing (e.g. compressed air sounds, vibrations), loss of water pressure, air bubbles, soil, bugs, rust or root pieces in the water, creaky or settling sounds of the building, sticky doors that weren't sticky before, dampness, and/or cracks which suddenly appear in floors, walls, ceilings, foundation, driveway, one or more unexplained increases in your water usage, notification from your water provider that you usage is unexpectedly high, etc. Leaking pipes, joints, and fixtures and appliances are common these days, and many private and public properties all over America have serious water leaks, and not usually covered by home insurance. While in most homes and businesses, water pipes are routed under the floor, in many they may also be routed through the walls and even the attic crawl space. Leaking water can cause tremendous damages to structures - even catastrophic settling and cracking of the building or its foundation - which can cost you $1,000s and even $10,000s to repair - even destroy the building itself - not to mention wasting invaluable and ever-decreasing drinking water and very high water bills. Water leaks occur because of plumbing aging, vibrations and tremors (e.g. heavy vehicle traffic (especially heavy vehicles like trains, trucks, buses), construction and industrial or military activities, road work or city sewer/water line work nearby or over the water line, and from earthquakes, flooding, nearby explosions, exposure of water line to hazards, sonic booms, avalanches and other earth movements, corrosive soils or water (e.g. caliche), or simply through aging and/or poor materials and workmanship, etc.), defective materials, defective workmanship, corrosion, frozen and burst water lines or faucets, soil settlement, erosion, overpressurization from the city or other water utility company, hard water, and plant roots attracted by a small leak and making it into a bigger water leak or multiple leaks. We once experienced a serious water leak under our driveway caused by a pea-size stone pressed up against the water line - every time someone drove on the driveway, microvibrations rubbed the two together until a hole was rubbed into the line within a few years time.
You can usually easily, quickly and at no-cost test your water system for water leaks: You turn OFF all water uses inside the building the best you can (watch out for leaky faucets, running toilets, icemaker, swamp cooler, etc.), you then look at the water meter and if it is still turning, in most cases you have a leak somewhere in your plumbing system which you should get repaired - and usually quickly. Usually, the faster the meter turns, the greater the leak and the emergency to repair it. Even a moderate leak dozens of feet from a building can structurally damage the building. Small leaks can turn into major leaks and floods within minutes or a few hours, or within days, weeks and months - depending on many factors. However, while the turn-OFF test will tell you that you likely have a water leak somewhere on your side of the water meter, it won't tell you exactly where the leak is at in typically complex business and home plumbing systems, so you are faced with either finding the specific location of the leak within a few feet using special leak-finding equipment (preferably using this our UWLD&L device), or tearing up most or all of your yard or driveway where the water line passes under to frantically locate the water leak in the old-fashioned greatly laborious, expensive and time-consuming brute-force way - often at $1,000s in expenses for brute force searches for water leaks and to fill-in and restore all what the diggers dug up. Since locating the water leak usually requires fast action on your part, it is far cheaper to have the UWLD&L device on hand, rather than finding yourself forced into having most or all of your entire yard or driveway dug up and then refilled. Once you use the UWLD&L device to help pinpoint your leak location, of course if you can't do the plumbing work yourself, then seriously consider having a professional plumber to do the job for you.
Municipalities almost never check for water leaks on private property (local plumbers don't like the competition), and some don't even have water leak locator equipment to pinpoint their own municipal water leaks as evidence by the large stretches of streets often dug up to locate and repair water leaks. Many small town and rural area plumbers do not carry water leak locator equipment - only equipment to test water lines in general - they can usually determine what water line the leak is in but not exactly where it is in that line, which may be dozens - even 100s of feet long. Plumbers who do carry water leak locators typically charge $200 - $300 to do this job EACH TIME they test your water lines, it can take days for them to come out and test your water lines - even in emergency situations - and then you have to depend upon them to accurately tell you the location of the water leak. And some plumbers will charge a double charge if they detect a leak in your system but you don't hire them (at great additional expense) to do the plumbing repairs - even if they can't pinpoint your leak. We could find no plumbers or equipment rental shops in a city of 500,000+ who would rent their leak detectors to us or let us verify the leak ourselves using their leak detection equipment. Some plumbers subcontract out for water leak detectors at your added expense - worse, often resulting in multiple finger-pointing contractors. Since plumbers charge far more for tearing up your entire yard and/or home or business and replacing an entire line or large line section rather than pinpointing the leak and replacing only that very small part of the plumbing with the leak, crooked plumbers will still claim that they can't pinpoint the water leak using their water leak locator equipment, so you end up not only paying for the entire job but also their expensive leak testing efforts. Plumbers charge a lot, but on top of that, they usually do not restore the site they damaged to reach the plumbing - some won't even clean up their debris - all that is left to the owners, which is often also very costly, back-breaking and time-consuming work. Also, if you can pinpoint your leak and do a spot repair of it, you can avoid the scarring of a much larger area resulting if the leak is not pinpointed and the entire line must be replaced, which gross repair can substantially reduce the value of your property and exaggerate to prospective buyers and renters how bad your leak situation was. The cost for a plumber to replace your entire yard line and/or building line and for you to clean up the debris and restore the site can cost you many $1,000s. However, by pinpointing the leak by using the UWLD&L and just repairing the leak, your costs are usually a few $100s, often less. Detecting leaks is one vital area of life where if you don't want the job to put you in the poor house, you often must do the job yourself!
If you are a renter, don't think that you don't need to report leaks to your landlords. Failure to report leaks can result in you being sued, losing damage deposit money, evicted AND forced to look for a new home, not to mention that many renters these days pay their own water bills, and also the great waste of drinking water. Also, the costs to landlords to repair leaks plus the resulting damages due to late reporting, one way or the other, the renter ends up paying for - usually with higher rents - so smart renters do their due diligence and promptly report leaks to their landlords, and perhaps ask them to consider the UWLD&L to save them - subsequently you - considerable expenses. If you are an owner or landlord, you definitely MUST have the UWLD&L on hand to immediately address all suspected leak situations.
The 41.5" long UWLD&L is simple and easy to use. The UWLD&L is a system which is used mostly in earthen areas over or near water lines to detect and pinpoint the most likely locations of water leaks. The UWLD&L is simple and fast to operate; it has two pointed parallel probes at the end, which you push into the earth along the water line path, usually to a depth of 2" - 10" (depending on depth of water line, soil hardness and rocks in the soil). The UWLD&L detects and measures the resistance between the probes, using the provided digital multimeter, which you simply plug the UWLD&L into. If the soil resistance between the probes drop, then the soil is more conductive at that spot. Because soil conductivity is affected by how wet the soil is, resistance dips almost always point to water leak origins. For use in hard surface areas (e.g. paved areas, such as concrete slabs, asphalt) non-accessible through soil, you drill pairs of small holes into the pavement (drills and bits not included) to insert the probes. The provided User Manual describes how to operate the UWLD&L in the most labor-saving and efficient way to quickly zero in on water leaks learned from many tests. Note that while the probes are 11" long, you can detect water leaks as deep as about 4 feet (many soils) because when water leaks into soil it tends to percolate upward often to substantial distances due to the pull of the sun on the surface moisture and water cohesion force (you can verify this by placing one end of a vertical dry towel in a bowl of water and watch the water percolate up the towel), as well as percolate laterally outward and downward (in addition, if the leak is in the form of a spray, the water can be forced to shoot dozens of feet in the soil).
We are selling several of these UWLD&L devices. They are all handmade with minor variations between them, so the one you get may not be the exact one in the images (e.g. the meter in image comes in yellow and red color).
The UWLD&L is not limited to finding water leaks in fresh water lines, but can also be used to find leaks in swimming pools, sprinkler systems, irrigation systems, water pumps, valves, faucets, sewer systems, septic systems, fire hydrants, and water storage tanks - works well with virtually every type of underground water situation as long as some of its wetness is close enough to the surface to touch the probe points. For sewer line leaks and septic tank line leaks, the UWLD&L should also help you find areas where roots have invaded your sewer line or septic line.
The UWLD&L has other possible non-leak uses: For examples, it can be used to detect possible sources of shallow underground water sources, and to detect buried metal objects ranging from metal pipes to buried coins, jewelry and treasures, and conductive minerals - even underground gold nuggets, gold veins and gold-rich soils. When resistance plunges for relatively short movements of the probes or to near zero ohms resistance, it often indicates close proximity to or contact with a metal object or conductive mineral (while great in conjunction with a metal detector, the UWLD&L can work well in areas where metal detectors don't do well). When used with a voltage source instead of the multimeter (voltage source not provided), which may be as simple as a single battery connected to it, the UWLD&L can be used to stimulate plant roots, and even to electrically stimulate earthworms to surface for gardening and fishing uses. The UWLD&L can also be used to puncture the ground to aerate the soil, to quickly pick up trash blown onto your yard and plants, to pick high fruit from trees, to gig fish, and even to ward off feral animals. You can also use the UWLD&L to test for soil wetness for gardening and agriculture purposes to determine how well and uniform your irrigation system is providing water for your plants, your fishing worm bed, etc., to help you determine when, how often and how much to water. Also, the the small test lead probes which are included with the digital meter are also pointed and work well for testing soil wetness of potted plants and in small or confined garden areas.
The UWLD&L has so many important uses that everyone should keep one handy. And since leaks can occur at any time and are usually near-emergency and sometimes emergency situations, you really need to have a UWLD&L right on hand so that you can immediately address suspected leaks. 10 lb.
Note 1: Since we do not have control over your soil and leak conditions (both of which can be highly variable and complex situations) nor how you will use this device, we cannot guarantee the UWLD&L will pinpoint your water leaks, and we assume no liability for false positives, false negatives, locating or failure to locate a water leak that caused or will cause damages, failure to identify the exact location of a water leak, or for anything else related to your use or abuse of the UWLD&L device or your leak problems. Also, the UWLD&L detects only water leaks (not tested or approved for non-water leaks) that wets soil. Also, we are not licensed plumbers, so we don't provide plumbing services, claims, advice or opinions.
Note 2: The UWLD&L is sold and intended strictly for personal use only and under our consumertronics.net policies. The UWLD&L is not sold nor intended for business use, for commercial use, for institutional use, for governmental use, nor for any other type of group use.
HYPERSENSITIVE SOUND ALARM (HSA): Another very effective way to detect and locate water leaks (hydrophone) (plus non-water leaks: Air leaks, gas leaks, fuel leaks, chemical leaks, etc.), is by using The Hypersensitive Sound Alarm (which also has many other critical uses ranging from detecting people trapped in cave-ins and collapsed mines, buildings, tunnels, ditches, wells, avalanches, landslides, etc. (active earthquake zones, mining areas, avalanche areas, tsunami areas, war zones, terrorist target areas), hidden pest infestations, unknown and strange sounds, animal studies, home security / burglar alarm system, seismic activity, etc.). The HSA produces a highly amplified audio output and a sound alert output, and is described elsewhere on this website. Water leaks and other leaks under pressure usually make spurting, spraying, gurgling or PSSS-type sounds; such low-intensity underground sounds usually cannot be heard by the naked ear - especially when the sounds are faint and your ears are 5+ feet off the ground. Since both soil conductivities and the conduction of sounds in the earth widely vary due to many soil and water leak factors, one device may work better than the other, and ideally one would use both devices for detecting and pinpointing water leaks or underground water sources.

NOTE #1: The UWLD&L differs from both other similar devices and our previous model because of its 4 major functional improvements: (1) Full metal body construction to make it stronger. (2) Added handle for easier pushing, and for carrying, hanging and storing the device. (3) Foot extension (foot pedal) also for easier pushing. (4) Greater overall length for greater comfort, especially for taller people (about 41.5" vs 36 " found in others).

NOTE #2: Gold carpenter's level shown on left and HSA are not included. The probe ends are very sharply pointed for easiest earth penetration. Be very careful when using, transporting or storing this tool to not injure or damage anyone or anything. Safety shoes, leather gloves, and protective eyewear and head wear are highly recommended. The foot extension should only be used if the soil is particularly tough to penetrate and a probe is not stopped by a rock or other hard object. Be careful when using tool so you don't lose your balance and fall. Don't force this tool through rocks or broken concrete or asphalt. If you use tool to penetrate into a sticky soil, such as clay soil, don't go too deep and slowly work the probes out without bending, jerking or twisting them.

Water leaks occur because of plumbing aging, vibrations and tremors (e.g. heavy vehicle traffic, construction and industrial activities, road work or city sewer/water line work nearby or over the water line, and from earthquakes, flooding, nearby explosions, exposure of water line to hazards, avalanches and other earth movements, etc.), defective materials, defective workmanship, corrosion, frozen and burst water lines or faucets, soil settlement, erosion, overpressurization from the city or other water utility company, hard water, and plant roots attracted by a small leak and making it into a bigger water leak or multiple leaks. We once experienced a serious water leak under our driveway caused by a pea-size stone pressed up against the water line - every time someone drove on the driveway, a small amount of vibration rubbed the two together until a hole was rubbed into the line in a few years time.
You can usually easily, quickly and at no-cost test your water system for water leaks: You turn OFF all water uses inside the building the best you can (which may be difficult if you have leaky faucets or running toilets, icemaker, swamp cooler, etc.), you then look at the water meter and if it is still turning, in most cases you have a leak somewhere in your plumbing system which you should get repaired - and usually quickly. Usually, the faster the meter turns, the greater the leak and the emergency to repair it. Even a moderate leak dozens of feet from a building can structurally damage the building. Small leaks can turn into major leaks and floods within minutes or a few hours, or within days, weeks and months - depending on many factors. However, while the turn-OFF test will tell you that you likely have a water leak somewhere after the water meter, it won't tell you exactly where the leak is at in typically complex plumbing systems, so you are faced with either finding the specific location of the leak within a few feet using special leak-finding equipment (e.g. using this our UWLD&L device), or tearing up most or all of your yard or driveway where the water line passes under to frantically locate the water leak in the old-fashioned greatly laborious, expensive and time-consuming way - often at $1,000s in expenses for "brute force" searches for water leaks and to replace what the diggers dug up. Since locating the water leak usually requires fast action on your part, it is far cheaper to have the UWLD&L device on hand, then finding yourself forced into having most or all of your entire yard or driveway dug up and then refilled. Once you use the UWLD&L device to help locate your leak, of course if you can't do the plumbing work yourself, you should consider hiring a plumber to do the job for you.
And some plumbers will charge a double charge if they detect a leak in your system but you don't hire them (at great additional expense) to do the plumbing repairs - even if they can't pinpoint the leak. We could find no plumbers or equipment rental shops who would rent their leak detectors to us or let us verify the leak ourselves using their leak detection equipment. Some plumbers subcontract out for leak detection, so you may end up dealing with multiple finger-pointing contractors. Since plumbers charge far more for tearing up your entire yard and/or home or business and replacing an entire line or line section rather than pinpointing the leak and replacing only that very small part of the plumbing, crooked plumbers will still claim that they can't pinpoint the water leak using their water leak locator equipment, so you end up not only paying for the entire job but also their expensive leak testing. However, by pinpointing the leak using the UWLD&L and just repairing the leak, your costs are usually a few $100s. Detecting leaks is one vital area of life where if you don't want the job to put you in the poor house, you often must do the job yourself!
If you are a renter, don't think that you don't need to report leaks to your landlords. Failure to report leaks can result in you being sued AND forced to look for a new home, not to mention that many renters these days pay their own water bills, and the great waste of drinking water. Also, the costs to landlords to repair leaks, one way or the other, the renter ends up paying for - usually with higher rents - so smart renters report leaks early to their landlords, and perhaps ask them to consider the UWLD&L to save them - subsequently you - considerable expenses.
The 36" long UWLD&L is simple and easy to use. The UWLD&L is a system which is used mostly in earthen areas over or near water lines to detect and pinpoint the most likely locations of water leaks. The UWLD&L comes with a wand with two pointed probes at the end, which you push into the earth along the water line path, usually to a depth of 2" - 8" (depending on depth of water line, soil hardness and rocks in the soil). The UWLD&L detects and measures the resistance between the probes, using the provided digital multimeter, which you simply plug the UWLD&L into. If the soil resistance between the probes drop, then the soil is more conductive at that spot. Because soil conductivity is mostly affected by how wet the soil is, resistance dips almost always point to water leak locations. For use in paved areas (e.g. concrete slabs, asphalt), you drill pairs of small holes into the pavement (drills and bits not included) to insert the probes. The provided User Manual describes how to operate the UWLD&L in the most labor-saving and efficient way to quickly zero in on water leaks.
We are selling several of these UWLD&L devices. They are all handmade with minor variations between them, so the one you get may not be the exact one in the images (e.g. the make and model of meter in image comes in yellow and red color).
The UWLD&L is not limited to finding water leaks in fresh water lines, but can also be used to find leaks in swimming pools, sprinkler systems, irrigation systems, water pumps, valves, faucets, sewer systems, septic systems, fire hydrants, and water storage tanks.
OTHER IMPORTANT UWLD&L USES: For examples, the UWLD&L can be used to detect possible sources of shallow underground water sources, and to detect buried metal objects ranging from metal pipes to buried coins, jewelry and treasures, and conductive minerals - even underground gold nuggets and gold veins. When resistance plunges for relatively short movements of the probes or to near zero ohms resistance, it often indicates close proximity to or contact with a metal object or conductive mineral (great in conjunction with a metal detector). When used with a voltage source instead of the multimeter (voltage source not provided), as simple as plugging in a single battery to its leads, the UWLD&L can be used to stimulate plant roots, and even to electrically stimulate earthworms (e.g. fishing worms) to surface for gardening and fishing uses, and to kill bugs on the ground (e.g. makes a great fire ant killer (wet the soil around the ant hole, then stick in the electrified UWLD&L probes)). The UWLD&L can also be used to puncture the ground to aerate the soil, to quickly pick up trash blown onto your yard and plants, to pick high fruit from trees, to gig fish, and to stop feral animal attacks (electrified or non-electrified). You can also use the UWLD&L to test and monitor soil wetness for gardening and agriculture purposes to determine how well and uniform your irrigation system is providing for your plants, your fishing worm bed, etc., to help you determine when, how often and how much to water. Also, the the small test lead probes which are included with the digital meter are also pointed and work well for testing soil wetness of potted plants and in small or confined garden areas. (CAUTION: Avoid physical or electrical contact with probes. Connecting any voltage source to the UWLD&L above 50VDC or 30VAC, or amperage above 100mA, substantially increases risks of electric shock or fire, especially around flammables, so use with great care).
The UWLD&L has so many important uses that everyone should keep one handy. And since leaks can occur at any time and are usually near-emergency and sometimes emergency situations, you really need to have a UWLD&L right on hand so that you can immediately address suspected leaks.
The UWLD&L has so many important uses that everyone should keep one handy. And since leaks can occur at any time and are usually near-emergency and sometimes emergency situations, you really need to have a UWLD&L right on hand so that you can immediately address suspected leaks.
Note: Since we do not have control over your soil and leak conditions (both of which can be highly variable and complex situations) nor how you will use this device, we cannot guarantee the UWLD&L will pinpoint your water leaks, and we assume no liability for false positives, false negatives, locating or failure to locate a water leak that caused or will cause damages, failure to identify the exact location of a water leak, or for anything else related to your use of the UWLD&L device or your leak problems. Also, the UWLD&L detects only water leaks (not tested or approved for non-water leaks) that wets soil. Also, we are not licensed plumbers, so we don't make plumbing repairs or provide plumbing claims, advice or opinions.
HYPERSENSITIVE SOUND ALARM (HSA): Another very effective way to detect and locate water leaks using the unique sounds that leaks make (hydrophone feature), is by using The Hypersensitive Sound Alarm. The HSA produces a highly amplified audio output and/or a latched-ON sound alert output. The HSA also detects and pinpoints non-water leaks: Air leaks, gas leaks, fuel leaks, chemical leaks, etc. And the HSA detects leak sounds and other sounds through hard surfaces (e.g. concrete, asphalt, wood, ceramic tile, hard soils, rocky soils, etc.) that probes would have difficulty penetrating. The HSA also has many other critical sound detection uses, including detecting people trapped in cave-ins and collapsed mines, buildings, tunnels, ditches, wells, avalanches, landslides, etc. (e.g. active earthquake zones, mining areas, avalanche areas, tsunami areas, war zones, terrorist target areas), hidden pest infestations, unknown and strange sounds, animal studies, home security / burglar alarm system, seismic activity, etc. The HSA will also alarm on faint, brief and distant other alarm sounds that you may otherwise miss because of temporary absence, inattention, bad hearing or being asleep. Water leaks and other leaks under pressure usually make spurting, spraying, gurgling, hissing or PSSS-type sounds; such low-intensity underground sounds often cannot be heard by the naked ear - especially when the sounds are faint and your ears are 5+ feet off the ground. Since both soil conductivities and the conduction of sounds in the earth widely vary due to many soil and water leak factors, one device type may work better than the other, and for running water, ideally one would use the HSA if the UWLD&L cannot detect the water leak point or underground water source. The HSA is not included with the UWLD&L but is another popular separate offer of ours.

NOTE: The UWLD&L probe ends are very sharply pointed for much easier penetration into earth. Be very careful when using this tool to not injure or damage anyone or anything. Safety shoes with rubber soles, leather gloves and protective eyewear and head wear are highly recommended. Be careful when using tool so you don't lose your balance and fall. If you use tool to penetrate into a sticky soil, such as clay soil, don't go too deep and slowly work the probes out without bending, jerking or twisting them.

POWERFUL MIRRORED MULTI-COLORED STROBE /
LASER (MULTI-COLOR STROBOSCOPE)

Used and worksfine. This strobe is in a heavy duty steel chassis case, similar to the types of chassis and cases that HP and Tektronix builds their very high quality electronic test equipment into. The device is not labeled (no boilerplate), and we don't know who makes it or for what purposes it was made (when we bought it a few years ago, we was told that it originally came from Sandia Labs and used for multi-color laser applications like holography, but we can't verify this). We have had limited uses for it.

I do know that the device works fine, and produces a series of extremely brilliant pulsed lights. By adjusting the flash speed way down, it appears to us that red, green and blue flashes occur successively. This device contains what looks like to us three very expensive light sources of different colors and a set up of various mirrors, glass plates that allow half of the light to go through and half to be reflected (half-silvered, filters?), and lenses. It has a standard SCSI connector in the back. We have no documentation on it, and we don't know the pin-out of the SCSI, but more than likely, it was for a computer hook-up. Not shown but on center of the bottom of the device is a sturdy steel plate screwed in with a threaded hole, apparently so the device could easily be mounted on a photographic tripod. It is 15.75" x 7" x 5.5".

The first image set is of a photo taken from the front while the device was operating, and photos of the front and back of the device when it was turned Off. The second image is a photo of the device taken while operating, in the dark, and with my camera flash Off. The third image set is a photo from each side of the lamp/mirror area with device Off to try to show the arrangement of the lamps and glass plates. The fourth image set is a photo top view of the device Off, and a photo top view with of the device with its cover in place.

Strobes have many uses, not the least of which is for dances and discos, for timing, for setting and determining rotational speeds and linear velocities, as a self-defense and anti-burglary device, in video, photography and holography, for special effects, for signaling and rudimentary communications, in biomedical research, and in mind control, electronic attack, brain entrainment and biofeedback research. In very good condition. Please do not stare into this light - it is very brilliant. It makes for one spectacular light show!

This is part of a number of pieces of equipment and books and manuals we are selling on this website related to my several years of research into Mind Control, Subliminal Mind Control, Electronic Attack, Electronic Harassment, Brainwave Entrainment, Brainwashing, Body Control, Behavioral Modification, Electronic Implants, and Biofeedback for Consumertronics.net of Albuquerque, NM (books, manuals, research, consulting), and Lone Star Consulting, Inc. of El Paso, TX (hardware, consulting). My related Consumertronics.net books and manuals (including ebooks) have the titles of, "Mind Control," "Subliminal Mind Control," "Electromagnetic Brainblaster," and "Under Attack!". Again, browse and search my webpages. We have such a huge amount of equipment related to this type of research, much of it duplicate or similar to each other, that we are now selling some of my surplus. - Thanks, John Williams, M.S.E.E.

MINCO 9" X 7" HEATER PANEL, 10 OHMS
MINCO KAPTON POLYIMIDE THERMOFOIL HEATER
HK5528R6.2L12B (HK5528R6.2 L12B / HK5528 / HK 5528)
MINCO KAPTON HEATER / MINCO POLYIMIDE HEATER

(Sorry, we recently sold out of this popular Item, thanks; we are looking for more.) New old stock (NOS). Minco Products International Kapton Polyimide Thermofoil Heater 9" x 7" panels (we also sell other Minco heaters, and NTC thermistors and PTC thermistors for heater feedback control systems, see below). Part #: HK5528R6.2L12B (HK5528R6.2 L12B / HK5528 / HK 5528). Nominal resistance = 10 ohms (cold or hot). Peel-off self-sticking back. With instruction sheet.

These Minco Kapton Thermofoil Heaters heat up and cool down rapidly. We have used the ones we saved for our labs at 8-60 VDC continuously. These Minco Kapton Heaters get hot at 50VDC (250 watts). We have temporarily used them at up to 80VDC, where they get very hot (not recommended). We never go above 80VDC, and to date we have never burned one out. The highest voltage you should use with these Minco Kapton Heaters depend upon how much heat you want to apply, ambient temperatures, what materials they are heating, the thickness and size of the materials, whether or not they are on the top or bottom of the materials or sandwiched between them, and how well they contact the materials. You may have to experimentally determine your optimum voltage. As a general rule, the faster the heated material conducts heat away from the Minco Heaters (thermal transfer heatsink quality of the material and contact), the higher you can set your voltage. We have found that one of these Minco Heater panels is enough to heat a small room when used with a heavy aluminum heat sink and excellent contact. Of course, you can use them at much lower wattages for an almost endless range of thermal uses. These Minco Heaters are very versatile - since they are flexible to some extent, they can be wrapped around round pipes and cylinders at least about 4" in diameter - great for warming pipe and cylinder contents.

Minco polyimide heaters are thin, compact, flexible, lightweight high-quality, high-performance electronic heaters, allowing higher temperatures and thermal watt densities for flat and rounded objects. Easy and fast to mount, Minco polyimide heaters should be mounted or clamped to heat sinks or other appropriate smooth, flat or rounded, dry, clean surfaces for optimum heat transfers and most uniform heat transfers. While the Minco HK5528 Polyimide Heater has a peel-off self-sticking backing for easy dry mounting, it can also be mounted with thermal bonding or with heat sink paste, or not adhesive mounted at all. Thin, flexible lightweight electronic heaters allow you to efficiently apply heat where it’s needed to reduce your operating costs as wasted energy is becoming increasingly costly. Minco's etched-foil laminated heating technology provides efficient thermal transfer and cycling for increased throughput, low weight construction, space-savings, and reduced cycling times because Minco's thin, laminated polyimide construction provides uniform thermal performance for the most efficient heat transfers. These Minco Polyimide Thermofoil Heaters are resistant to most oils and chemicals, so these Minco electronic heaters can also be used to heat some non-conductive powders, oils and liquid chemicals (careful experimentation may be required).

INVALUABLE APPLICATIONS: (1) Heating of electronic boards, components and circuits to test for and validate thermal specs, to isolate, diagnose and prevent thermal runaway, to maintain constant temperatures to negate thermal coefficient effects, etc. (2) Packaging, fusing, and splicing equipment. (3) Materials research and testing. (4) Satellites or other spacecraft to keep components warm in frigid space environments. (5) To keep vehicle motors and other engines and equipment warmer in cold environments to ease starting and to help prevent them from seizing. (6) To minimize stiction problems. (7) To keep faucets, valves and pipes from freezing. (8) Wafer processing (semiconductor wafers). (9) To stabilize critical medical diagnostic and scientific laboratory equipment (not sold as a medical device). (10) To warm up frozen laptops, IPads, electronic test equipment and other electronic and electrical devices to reasonable temperature levels so they can be safely and reliably applied power to and used. (11) To warm up and even cook cold foods and beverages that are consumed warm or hot. (12) To prevent other things from freezing and for thawing them, and as hand warmers.

EVEN MORE APPLICATIONS: These Minco HK5528 R62L12B polyimide heaters (and other Minco polyimide heaters) have many other possible uses. We have heard (but not tried) that they are also great for plant growth because they keep soil warm (i.e. "tropical soil"), which spurs plant growth and longer growing seasons in many plants. We also have heard that Minco polymide heaters can be placed inside clothing and powered from a battery or power supply to keep individual people warm in cold situations far more efficiently and cost effective than heating entire rooms or areas. We have also heard of Minco heaters used to help warm small terrariums where small animals, including lizards, snakes, insects and spiders, are kept (keep out of reach of animals).

RARE PARALLEL, ROLLING ADJUSTABLE CUTTERS/WHEELS
PARALLEL, ROLLING, ADJUSTABLE SCORER
"RUBBER RULER", STAINLESS STEEL

New old stock (NOS). Rare Parallel, Adjustable, Rolling Cutters/Wheels / Parallel, Adjustable, Rolling Scorer. Also very useful as a "rubber ruler." Accordion-type action. Made of stainless steel, manufacturer unknown. Cutting/scoring wheels can be adjusted from 3/8" spacing to almost 6" spacing with great precision. These 5 scoring/cutting wheels are 2-1/2" diameter (multi-cutter, multi-wheel), and very sharp (CAUTION: Handle with great care!). Parallel cutting wheels / scoring wheels greatly increase efficiency - this tool saves so much time that it easily pays for itself - while assuring accuracy, uniformity and repeatability in cuts and scoring for that critical professional appearance. This cutter/scorer has numerous uses for cutting or scoring materials and objects. Great for restaurants for cutting dough for noodles, breadsticks, pizzas, pastries, breads, etc. And great for the carpenter or plastic sheet user for scoring parallel lines. And great for cutting or scoring sheets of papers, cardstocks, cardboards, cloth, leather, naugahyde and other soft plastics, and soft metals.
What is a "rubber ruler"? Rubber rulers or "adjustable rulers" are adjustable measuring devices so that you don't have to make calculations and individual measurements to mark off equal distances between parts or sections of a material, as the rubber ruler expands and contracts based on the spacing of needed divisions. For example, you want to cut a 1x6 board into 3 same-width strips. This tool makes it easy. You simply spread this adjustable, rolling, parallel cutters / scorer so that the #1 wheel is on one edge of the board and the #4 wheel is on the other edge of the board, and then roll this device down the board to score it with wheels #2 and #3 into 3 equal strips. No tedious calculations are required for precision, no using a regular ruler to mark off your calculated distances, and no drawing lines along the board between your marks. This "rubber ruler" saves tremendous time for doing repetitive and duplicate tasks. And this parallel, rolling adjustable cutters/scorers is a great collectible as well.

RARE, VINTAGE MECHANICAL TEMPERATURE ALERT
MECHANICAL TEMPERATURE SWITCH, Winland

Used and in very good condition. Winland Mechanical Temperature Switch / Alert. Can be used as a thermostat. Works great and easy to use. Big, visible analog display easily viewed at much longer distances than most temperature gauges and thermostats. You simply move the end contacts to the temperatures you want the Winland to alert or switch to using a small screwdriver. The center contact indicates the temperature; if the temperature rises or falls, the center contact moves in that direction. When it comes into contact with one of the end contacts, it acts like the closure of a switch, which then can be used to activate an alert and/or to switch in heater or cooler controller to heat or cool the area to keep the temperature under control through your selected range. We don't know what it is rated at; we've tested the contacts at 120 VAC and 160 VDC and 10A and it worked fine. Great for regulating temperature ranges for home and business use, for experiments, and for equipment and real property you have left alone for some time and you don't want to overheat and/or get too cold. Can be used in conjunction with other thermostats you now use.

LIMITED QUANTITY. We have only one of these.

(10) GE STM CL-40 NTC THERMISTORS

New old stock (NOS) GE STM CL-40 NTC (negative temperature coefficient) thermistors. These are about 5.8 ohms at room temperature and go down to about 0.1 ohms when a hair blower set on "hot" is blown against it for several seconds. While these CL-40 thermistors can be used for both hot and cold applications, they are easier to use for cold temperature control in conjunction with a voltage comparator IC. Can also be used to divert or shunt initial power inrush current or surge current to ground, or for circuits which require a gradual increase in current as it warms up. About 5/8" diameter, radial leads about 1-5/8" long.

BUYER: Order by Title (below image) - Email us your order. - List History: LD107. - Price: $9.95.

(10) NTC THERMISTORS

New old stock (NOS). NTC (negative temperature coefficient) thermistors. These are about 35 ohms at 95 degrees (F) and 55 ohms at 40 degrees. While these NTC thermistors can be used for both hot and cold applications, they are easier to use for cold temperature control in conjunction with a voltage comparator IC. Can also be used to divert or shunt initial power inrush current or surge current to ground, or for circuits which require a gradual increase in current as it warms up. Small and compact used for measuring temperatures on electronic parts (e.g. individual ICs) and other small objects. These NTC thermistors are about 5/16" diameter, radial leads about 2 " long.

(10) EPCOS PTC THERMISTORS /
CURRENT LIMITING TEMPERATURE SENSORS

EPCOS PTC thermistors / current-limiting temperature sensors, positive temperature coefficient. Actual color is silver-grey. At 65 degrees F, resistance is about 40 ohm. These are great for temperature measuring and temperature switching circuits. For temperature switchers, simply wire them into a comparator IC, and have it switch when the temperature is too high, too low or within or outside your acceptable temperatures. These are also great for power buses - when a short circuit occurs, these temperature sensors heat up right away, resulting in a great increase in their resistance, which in turn limits the current. Not as fast as a fuse, but also is not likely to blow, so ideal for remote and unattended applications.

HVAC TESTER / REFRIGERATION TESTER:
-40F to +65F SERVICEMAN TESTER
"SUPER-HEAT" BRASS THERMOCOUPLE

Used in very good condition. Very high quality thermal instrument. Industrial-grade. Temperature range is -40 F to +65F, so it appears to be used for refrigeration purposes. Last winter, we used it to check the temperatures of my plants to know when to cover them with plastic. Note: This Item is mostly made of brass - the copper tint of the image is due to underexposure of the Item during snapshot - except for the the sensor (which has a copper jacket), this Item's metal is all brass. We bought several of these at an estate sale, and this one is either new or used in excellent condition.

LAFAYETTE INSTRUMENT CO.
GALVANIC SKIN RESPONSE METER (GSR METER)
MODEL 5818 + SOFT-PINCH ELECTRODES!

(Sorry - currently sold out, we are looking for more; please email so we can put you on on our list for the Lafayette GSR should we get another one). Used and works great. Lafayette Instrument Co. Galvanic Skin Response Meter (GSR Meter), Model 5818 Plus pair of Soft-Pinch Electrodes. Galvanic skin response (GSR) metering is an excellent way to do biofeedback, relaxation and therapy. And it is also a great biomedical research tool. GSR meter is a known excellent indicator of stress levels (e.g. used in polygraphs / lie detectors), therefore, by training yourself using biofeedback to reduce your GSR, you should also be able to relax better and reduce your stress levels, and thereby hopefully live a longer, happier and healthier life. The included soft-pinch electrodes are non-invasive and hold onto the attached surface with light force (no tape or cement is required). We found that this great GSR meter provided us so much information about my physical self and was so useful in helping us better relax that we designed as part of a Lone Star Consulting, Inc. (El Paso, TX) project an advanced GSR meter (one that employs ultrasound to help trigger stronger and more definitive GSRs) which we currently use so we no longer need this one. We are not licensed medical professional, so we can't make any medical claims nor provide medical opinion or medical advice, and this device is not sold to treat, cure or diagnose any medical condition.

BAROID FLUID RESISTIVITY METER, MODEL 653
BAROID TESTING EQUIPMENT

Used, works great; case stained. Baroid Fluid Resistivity Meter, Model 653, Baroid Testing Equipment. Measures the resistivity of fluids, liquids, slurries, filtrates and muds. Unit has two electrodes. Basically, you take a common smoking pipe cleaner (middle, right image), soak it with test fluid, place it across the electrodes, and view resistance. Or you can use two leads with alligator clips on one end, clip them onto the electrodes, and dip other end into the fluid (leads not included). Comes with a sturdy plastic case and Operator's Manual. Case latches, hinge and handles all in great condition. For operation, common to some older equipment, the Baroid Resistivity Meter, Model 653, requires a Burgess 22.5 volt battery. We don't believe they make this battery any longer, but 22.5 VDC can be produced by three 9-volt batteries wired in series and a LM317 adjustable voltage regulator IC set at 22.5VDC output (regulated output voltage more accurate than old Burgess batteries). For an extra $20, we will provide you an external plug-in 22.5 VDC battery-powered or AC-adapter powered power supply to power this unit. A great collectible, but Baroid can also be used for actual liquid resistivity measurements.

CARBON COMPOSITE CONE FORM / CONE SHAPE,
SCIENTIFIC, LABORATORY, SHOP, CRAFTS, MODEL-MAKING

Looks new but we can't tell for sure. Heavy, very hard, and apparently a 100% carbon composite cone form, apparently precision-machined and not cast. We can barely scratch it with a sharp X-Acto knife. Actual weight is 1.5 lbs and feels very solid. Base is 6.5" diameter, and it is about 3" tall. Undersided (not shown) is hollow in the cone area, about 2" deep to tip of cone, making the cone surface itself probably about 1" thick. Base "ring" is solid 1.25" wide all around and 1" tall. Material is an electrical insulator material and not magnetic. This is definitely some kind of industrial, scientific or laboratory type cone form. Can be used as a form for shaping, as some kind of mount or mold form, for scientific experiments and science fairs, to launch experimental rockets from, for various crafts, general shop uses, display uses, as part of a mold for casting, and as a cover of some type - many possible different uses. We collect weird scientific and electronic devices, and this is the first one of these we 've ever run into. Do you know what it is? This is apparently one of those kinds of things that when you need one, they are almost impossible to find and nothing else will do.

RARE, VINTAGE LIGHT STIMULATING KIT
w/ WEDGE LENS

Used, and works great. This kit holds a device and its attachments which appear to be a light therapy kit or light scanning kit for examining limited areas close up. We bought it from a guy involved in radionics research decades ago, who told us that it was used to enhance the effects of certain chemicals, but he wasn't specific. Comes in a nice soft case, which was probably not its original case. We do not know who makes it, how old it it, or what its original intended application was. Do you? After collecting these weird types of devices for decades, we 've only run into 3 of these and they were all different. Makes a great medical collectible.

UNIQUE ITEM. We have only one of this Item.

HIGH-TECH EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALISM: Many "high-tech business" owners and their employees today are clearly woefully ignorant of the high technologies they sell (including some giant electronic parts houses!). ABQ Techzonics of Albuquerque, NM, USA, is owned by John Williams, M.S.E.E. Mr. Williams is a former Senior Electronics Design Engineer (Lockheed EMSCO); Professor of Computer Science (New Mexico State University (NMSU)); Electronics Weapons Design Engineer (U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force); Health Physicist (National Institutes of Health (NIH)), etc. Williams is also currently President of Lone Star Consulting, Inc. and CEO of Consumertronics.net. While we don't know everything about everything tech (no one does), we have a high level of expertise. We sell a lot of electronic components / electrical components. Most of these electronic components / electrical components are small electronic parts / electrical parts, such as integrated circuits, optical devices, transistors, rectifiers, diodes, transformers, inductors, capacitors, resistors, displays, switches, relays, crystals, oscillators, transducers, sensors, prototyping, connectors, fuses, wire/cable, power components, etc., as well as some larger electronic parts / electrical parts and electronic test equipment, scientific equipment and industrial equipment / parts, electrical equipment / electronic equipment in general, tools, mounting hardware parts, and special materials. And we also buy and trade these types of items (Trade & Buy Offers). And unlike most electrical / electronic components sellers, many of the electrical / electronic component, etc. lots we buy we set aside some of the electrical / electronic parts, etc. for our own electronic projects and research. We sell those electrical / electronic parts, etc. we don't use. Our suppliers know that if their electrical / electronic parts, electronic test equipment, etc. aren't excellent, good chance we will discover it and they'll hear about it!
