New. This Western Electronic Products stripper consists of three parallel cutting blades sharing the same axle. The steel blades of this WE CX-1 stripper are replaceable. Spacing between blades is determined by washers. The 8" long arms that hold the blades are all aluminum, titanium or similar. Very high quality device probably made for a scientific laboratory. Both useful and a great collectible for the engineer and technician. We are not sure what the original application of this device was, but it appears that it can be set up in such a way as to strip off strips of paper, cloth, cardboard, thin plastic, tissue or similar according to the widths you program it for with the washer spacers.

RARE GERMAN WIRE STRIPPERS:

Used and in great condition. This is a truly unusual, ingenious, innovative and high-quality tool with many possible uses. This wire stripper has for both top and bottom cutters a set of thin parallel blades consisting of about 30 each very thin, hardened steel blades that look much like an automobile feeler gauge except all of the blades are the same thickness. Each blade is independently spring-loaded and moves independently, depending on the force applied to it. When you insert the round insulated wire and close the stripper, each of these sliding blades cuts into the insulation independently to uniformly cut through the insulation for a very wide variety of wire thicknesses and crossection shapes. You then pull the wire out, uniformly stripping off the insulation as you go, with little or no scoring of the wire's conductor. The purpose of this unusual and special feature is for the user to be able to quickly and easily strip various wire sizes without having to individually adjust for each wire size.

The bite of this tool is crisp and clean - not like the beveled bite of most other wire strippers and wire cutters (e.g. dikes), which looks sloppy and sometimes interferes with tolerances. As well as insulation, the tool will precisely cut through a wide variety of other small soft parts that will fit within its jaws, including many plastics, rubber and balsa used by model makers, crafters and other hobbyists. And for medium hardness materials that it won't cut through, it will uniformly score them virtually around their entire perimeter for later cutting with a knife, thin saw, dikes or other tool. This is a truly exceptional tool, which also makes it a great tool collectible and tool gift.

Strong, versatile plastic-coated Steel Cable Clips/Clamps, Dual Cable Clips/Clamps, to secure 1/4" diameter cables, wires, tubes, rods, ropes (works well with diameters of 3/16" - 5/16"). Includes 1/4"-20 threaded screws, which clamp together the two plate halves, and which can also anchor the clamps onto wood, metal or plastic surfaces. These cable clamps have a rugged and durable plastic coating for much stronger gripping and much reduced fraying, and for electrical insulation / thermal insulation / mechanical insulation. Each clamp plate is 1" x 3/4". One plate is 1/4"-20 threaded, the other has a 1/4" thru hole.

These cable clamps are great for: Securing looped cables, parallel cables, joining broken cables, reinforcing damaged and frayed cables, and removing slack in overly-long cables, wires and ropes. Great for securing or guiding 3/16" - 5/16" wires, tubes, rods and ropes for numerous other applications, and as nail and screw guides. These clamps can also clamp cables, rods, tubes, etc. with diameters under about 3/16", just slide on rubber/plastic tubing over clamped area. And they can also clamp diameters over 5/16" (up to about 3/8") by using small washer(s) or nut(s) between the plates to space them if you need to.

These dual cable clamps can also be used as sliding guides for cables, wires, tubes, rods and ropes under 3/16" dia. And as tool holders and parts holders for screwdrivers and other tools and parts with shaft dia. under 1/4". Other uses for these dual cable clips is to parallel or to neatly separate from each other (i.e. space off) cables, wires, ropes, rods and tubes. And for non-electrical cables, wires, ropes, rods and tubes, they can also be used to extend their lengths by adding on additional lengths of these objects.

These cable clamps are also terrific for building up and converting shelves made of 1/4" rods (like those sold at Home Depot and Lowes) into longer shelves, wider shelves, containers, partitions, fences, barriers, gates, doors, covers, window covers, platforms, gurneys, pens, tree protectors, passage ways, etc. simply by using these dual clamps to clamp shelf sections and pieces together rod-to-rod.

These cable clamp plates can also be used separately as nuts and washers - push the thru-hole plate to the screw head end as the washer, insert the screw into object, then use the threaded plate as the nut. And of course they can be used where only single cable clamps are used as well, and paralleled where more than two clamps are needed. And of course these cable clamps are re-usable. When done with one application, simply remove and store them to use them for your next application.

RARE, VINTAGE WEDGON No. 1 WIRE TIGHTENER /
WIRE DRAWER / WIRE STRAIGHTENER / WIRE PULLER

(Sorry, we recently sold this great Wedgon No. 1 Wire Tightener; we are looking for more.) Used and in very good condition. Rare, Vintage Wedgon No. 1 Wire Drawer / Wire Tightener / Wire Straightener / Wire Puller. This Wedgon Screw Machine Company wire tool is apparently primarily used for drawing wire. Wedgon wire tool has three holes for different wire gauges. The screw threads are in excellent condition. This wire tool's post looks like it will fit in about a 3/4" hardy hole on an anvil, and certainly in a strong vise. We clamped it in our large shop vise to test it. We ran some coiled copper wire (about 10 Gauge) through the smallest hole. It straightened it by gripping it with the toothed cam on the travelling jaw. Wire puller tool can also be used to attach a wire to an object external to the tool to pull or lift the object. Wedgon wiire tool can feed a virtually unlimited wire length by running the excess wire by the crank handle. The ratcheted crank handle leverage and the threaded movement act as force multipliers to pull wire with 100s of pounds of force if needed. The feed holes show some wear just where you would expect the wire to be pulled against the cast iron.The crank handle of this Wedgon tool ratchets and works very well. The end lever cuts the wire to length and worked fine on the copper test piece. This Wedgon wire drawing tool may be able to draw hot iron into wire but we are uncertain. Wire tool is marked "Wedgon Pat. Pend. No.1 Screw Mach. Prod. Co. Denver Colo.", and measures about 9 1/2" by 6 1/2". Made in USA. Clean condition as shown. Pictured vise is used as a positioner for photo purposes only and is not included.

Used and in very good condition. Heavy Duty X-Punch / Crimping Punch, unknown make. This rare and unusual, yet very versatile and useful, punch is used to mark a spot on a pipe, tube, shaft, rod, cable and bar stock or other object for later drilling, machining, cutting, grinding, measuring, etc. 3-3/4" tall, it opens up to 1". Spring-loaded, the extension on the side lifts the shaft up, the stock is then inserted into the open V-notch, positioned to where the "X" or "+" marking is intended, and you release the extension to drop the shaft onto the stock, which should then hold the stock firmly in place exactly where you want it. You then hit the top of the 3/4" x 3/4" shaft with a hammer or swage to emboss the "X" or "+" into the stock. You then raise the shaft again and remove the marked stock. Also great for securely staking or crimping on lugs onto cables, up to as thick and heavy as welding cables and power cables. And for sealing or flattening the ends of copper tubing / brass tubing / aluminum tubing / steel tubing, and other metal and plastic objects. This steel X-punch / crimping punch is great for the auto shop, machine shop, welding shop, plumbing shop, electrician shop, and fabrication shop.

Used but in good conditions. These high-voltage plastic electrical mountings are perfect for many medium-size electrical insulating applications. Also great for various other general mounting applications such as for equipment standoffs, furniture standoffs and other mechanical standoffs, and as part of vibration isolation systems. Centered threaded quarter-inch inserts on both sides (female); the metal threaded insert on one side is not electrically conductive to the one on the other side so they are insulators. 2" tall x 2" diameter.

Used and all are in great condition. The bases are about 1-1/2" in diameter. There are slight variations in them, for example, some are flared a bit at the top, and the center mounting hole varies in diameter between the types. Shafts are about 5/8" diameter at the top and taper to about 3/4" at the bottom. All are a hard plastic. We will randomly select 10 out of the bag. These spool forms are great for holding thread spools, yarn spools, ribbon spools, rope spools, string spools, wire spools, light cable spools, light chain spools, etc. that will fit on them. Two can be easily joined together to form its own spool, or any one can be used as an open-ended spool. The Soft-Pinch Electrodes are very versatile spring-operated and bifurcated on both sides (2-tine fork-like). Because these electrodes are bifurcated, other electrodes can be connected to them in series or even groups if you wish using screws. Can be used as experimental and monitoring radionic electrodes, biomedical electrodes (bio electrodes), biofeedback electrodes (BF electrodes), paranormal electrodes, electronic attack electrodes, mind control electrodes, etc. Can be used on people, animals, plants, and even inert objects. These SSPE biomedical electrodes are used in numerous and varied types of experimental mind and brain research, biomedical uses, and general electronic lab and shop uses (we also sell much of the equipment we used with these biomedical electrodes for our biomedical, bioelectric, biofeedback, mind control, plant research, etc. experiments). These electrodes should not cause any bruising, skin penetration, pain or discomfort, yet hold on tight enough to not detach or slip due to some motion. For tighter holds, you can use pliers to bend the flexible tynes to increase electrode grip and/or to better fit onto round or odd-shaped objects. The spring-operated biomedical electrode is made of steel (copper-like color in images is artifact of photo under-exposure - SSPE biomedical electrodes are bright, shiny steel). These electrodes are about 2" long, 3/16" wide, bifurcated at its business end, and are reinforced to the cable with a sheath of about 2" of durable plastic for many years of reliable service.

The bifurcated electrode is far superior in versatility and usefulness than the common single-end electrode because: (1) It permits better gripping and contact on uneven surfaces and soft surfaces for the same pressure, (2) It allows for more accurate spot check readings taken between the bioelectric electrode tynes (e.g. connecting up an oscilloscope or meter directly to the electrode in situ; oscilloscope and meter not included), (3) It allows for the interleaving of two biomedical electrodes (e.g. while one electrode transmits a signal to the subject, the other electrode monitors the signal within a fraction of an inch from each other), and (4) Other electrodes of various types, connectors and devices (and more than one at the same time) can be screwed directly to the electrode through the slot between the tynes.

On the other end of the SSPE electrode cable is terminated by your choice of end connector: BNC, banana plugs, pin plugs, spade lugs, "eye" lugs, alligator clips, bare wire, etc., (lugs are assumed if you don't specify). This end connector is generally connected to the equipment using a screw (screws sizes up to #8), and is plated for optimum conductivity. This connector end is also reinforced to the cable with a sheath of durable plastic for maximum electrode life time.

After many 100s of hours of testing SSPE biomedical electrodes, including some high voltage and dry outdoors uses, we have found them to be very useful, reliable and versatile, and have not broken one yet. The SSPE biomedical electrode cabling is very resilient to aging, cracking, dirt, grime, grease, oils, salt water, light acids, light alkalies, solvents, current leaks, shorts, arcing over, high and low temperature, and high and low humidity. Unlike the typical button electrode, this biomedical electrode is not designed to passively lay flat on the surface it is to be used on, but to be attached using its gentle clamping action, and therefore it can be attached, removed and moved around quickly and dynamically should you choose to do so. This electrode does not have a built-in amplifier (not an "active electrode"), but the signals it picks up can be viewed on a quality oscilloscope.

The peel & stick copper foil roll is 1/4" wide and thin - typical of security copper foil for windows, glass sliding doors and skylights to detect glass breakage for burglar alarm systems / intrusion security systems. Will also work on plexiglass and other plastics, and smooth wood. The roll is not labeled as to how long the copper stripping foil strip is and we have not unrolled it to measure it, but the rolls are new and appears to be 100 feet per roll.
